Fires
2007-10-28 10:55:00 Damn!!! Who the hell just starts a fire??!? Why the hell do you start a fire?!?! Now a lot of homes were burned down, and a lot of families are left with no more place to stay. Maybe it was someone smoking a cigarette, and they just threw it out the car window or something. That bastard?!?! I get worried sometimes because Maricel's apartment in Fullerton is the one at the corner near the plants, and there's this one white trash lady who smokes, and instead of putting her cigarette out in the ashtray built into the wall, or on the floor, then stepping it out, this stupid bitch throws it into the plants. In the summer I'm scared, it's dry, then might burn the apartments down. So back on track. Who the hell starts fires? It sucks because everyone lost their stuff, and pictures and everything. I know some people who lost their house, and lost everything. If I ever saw the guy(s) who started the fires, I'd kick his ass, then spit in his face... then light a match... then ... Stupid Driver
2007-10-22 04:18:00 There was this stupid girl driving next to me on my way to church. I turned left on a light (I was the first one), then there was a truck behind me, and a van, then this girl's car. Me, the truck, and the van went through with no problem, but the girl had to beat the light. Well, it seemed like she had to speed even AFTER she crossed the intersection. So I saw her speeding up SO fast in the rear view mirror, then I took my foot off MY gas because everyone was stopped at a stop light in front of us. There were four lanes: a protected left turn, two straight ways, and one right turn only. Left turn - one car, straights - two cars and one car, right turn only - no cars. This is on Lincoln and Grindlay in Cypress, California. Then I see her, and this stupid bitch isn't slowing down, going the same speed - about 50 mph (I don't have good sense of speed from other cars while I'm in a different car). Then finally, she slams on her brakes when she's about 50 feet from the car ... More About: Other , Driver , Stupid

Nasty Ashy
2007-10-22 04:11:00 It's so nasty right now. There's fires going on in Malibu. My prayers go out to the people who live there. It's so nasty, it's ashy, actually, if you ask me it's VERY nasty. Then I saw on the news that there's some shelter for all the horses that were moved because of the fires getting to close, but I never heard of any HUMAN shelters for the people who lived in those houses. Hmm... priorities. More About: Other , Nasty

Glorietta 2 Was Bombed!
2007-10-20 01:12:00 I'm freaked out right now because we were there just two months ago! I hope everyone there's fine. It is in Makati, Philippines at Glorietta 2. That's near our hotel, InterContinental. I don't understand what they're saying on Kababayan LA, but I know that it got bombed and some people dead and a lot are injured. We were just there, and if it was bombed when we were there, I'd die of a heart attack. I hope everyone I know there is ok. More About: Other

Philippines Vs. USA
2007-10-19 04:55:00 ...I've blogging about the differences that I've noticed about the Philippines and the United States. This is a continuation of those blog entries. When you want to use the phone or text, you have to buy "loads". You get a cell phone (probably from someone you know), then you buy a sim card, and just fill it with "load". When you run out, you put more (for me it was P100 at a time, and it lastest well.) My problem was that I didn't understand how much it would cost to call maricel, and text her in the US. It was a lot. So every two days or so, I would blow my load on Maricel. - sorry there's no pictures of me blowing my load on Maricel. When I was in the Philippines, it was raining HARD. So then the president just casually said that there's no school for high school and college students. I don't know if they do that here, in the US, but that was kind of weird to me. Then I found out later, when I came back home, that it was supposed to be vacation time in a few week... More About: Lippi , Hili

Gone
2007-10-15 07:53:00 I am at home by myself a lot. I just now feel how much I miss my grandma. I would come home, and she'd be watching TV and playing solitare. And I would go to my room and watch TV go online and whatever. We would mind our own business. Sometimes we wouldn't even see each other. But now, I come home, and just knowing she's not there, I feel lonely sometimes. I miss her. Even though sometimes she was just there minding her own business. She's not there anymore, and I miss her. More About: Other

Falling Tree on Acacia, Fullerton
2007-10-15 07:42:00 I was going home from Maricel's apartment, and I was going through residential areas.. then all of a sudden i hear a crackle.. then i hear a little girl yell, so i slow down because i see a bunch of guys jogging and they stopped. Then all of a sudden, i see half of a tree fall down. i stopped because it could have fell on my car, but instead it fell on the sidewalk. I stopped and looked in the fallen shrubs, to see if that little's girl is there.. i didn't see her, but then i heard her. i drove on, and it scared me because it could have killed me, OR it killed a little girl. We'll Miss You Lola
2007-10-01 17:22:00 I said a little prayer as soon as my dad told what had happened. Then I felt shocked or just like taht weird feeling when you don't know how to feel. I don't know if I should feel bad, or just follow what she said, and just don't worry. When Lola was in the hospital, one of the many times, she told me that she should die now. This was soon after Lola Toyang died. Then she just told me she should die now because she's done. It sounded sad at the time, and you'd get semi-mad at her for saying that, but she was happy. She said she has done everything she wanted to do in life - except win the lottery for all of us. She said that she just wants to rest now and be with Lolo. Can't blame her, she's been talking about him. She NEVER danced with any other man, she said, even when she was invited to some Senior Citizen dancing group event (I guess that's the TRUE Senior Prom). She said she's seen all her kids and grandkids grow up, and she also saw great grand kids growing... More About: Other , Miss , Miss You

2007-09-27 21:39:00 Since I haven't officially completed EVERY unit, I am still a student and I get the news. Here's the latest: "Area Found Safe After Calls of Alleged Gunshot Fired University Police officers responded immediately to calls reporting the sound of an alleged gunshot heard in the area between the University Office Building 94 and Building 1 at 2:08 p.m. this afternoon. The entire squad of on-duty officers arrived on the scene within three minutes. After a thorough investigation, officers found no evidence of criminal activity, and the area was deemed safe. Building 94 was searched room by room, and at one point access to the dorms and roads in the area was closed. Normal activity has now resumed in the area. As more information is made available, it will be posted on PolyCentric at http://polycentric.csupomona.edu/" More About: News , Other , Campus

Philippine Trip: USA versus Philippines
2007-09-27 05:00:00 Here are some differences that I noticed with the Philippines and the United States: First off, the obvious one. The time difference. Pretty much anywhere else in the world you go, there will be a time difference, and you'll probably suffer from jet lag. Man! when I was in the Philippines, I think it took me about 3 days to get adjusted to the time - probably longer. I had a headache from that big difference in time. I would wake up at 9am, and it would feel like it was 10pm. It's so messed up, that you don't even feel like you're on Philippine time or on American time - it's just in between. The wall sockets are 220 Volts. I almost plugged in some things into the socket, and some things would have messed up my electronics. Other things like laptops, Nintendo DS, and my phone charger were all fine - but I didn't use it just in case. Nowadays, the electronics here can accept 100-240 Volts. I could have plugged it in, but I didn't. Instead, you have to use a trans... More About: Life , Trip , Versus , Lippi

The Lincoln Trip
2007-09-26 04:02:00 This past weekend I went with Maricel to Lincoln , California. It's right outside of Sacramento. It was cool, and comfortable. We went for Gavin's Baptism. We stayed at Maricel's cousin, Viclaire's house. The people that stayed there were Viclaire, her husband Gemil, Gavin - the baby who's Baptism it was, and Gemil's parents. We flew in from San Diego and took Southwest flight 1048. I read online that each seat was leather and it's supposed to be comfortable. It is a good idea to get your tickets online, and check-in online, then you just have to go straight to Security Check, and you save a lot of time. The thing is that it seemed like it was leather from the late 70s or something. And the plane was VERY small (especially compared to the 747 that I went on to go to The Philippines a couple months ago). On the way to Sacramento, there was VERY BAD TURBULENCE. Man, that was the worst turbulence I have ever experienced. I thought we were going to crash! I just pu... More About: Life , Trip

Packing for San Francisco
More articles from this author:2007-09-20 22:01:00 I'm preparing for San Franc isco . Actually it's Sacramento. I don't know what to expect from this trip. It's for a baptism, so I don't know if we'll be able to go around a lot. Either way, I'll be able to use my camera somewhere. I get to test it out. Right now, I'm trying to run the battery out so I can recharge it and be ready. I'm using the new time-lapse feature on my Canon G9. I don't know what to pack, so I'm packing one dressy, one warm, and one cold, and a couple back up underwear and socks - never know when a shart attack might happen. Just Kidding. That's nasty. It should be fun because I'm going with Maricel. It'll be cool. Literally. I looked up the weather and Thursday and Saturday = change of rain. Friday and Sunday = mostly sunny. I'll see how it goes, I'm excited. More About: Life , Packing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 |
