Sextuplet boom: 2 moms, 2 states, 12 babies
2007-06-13 17:05:00
Exceedingly irresponsible, inhumane and ignorant! ... I thought I would throw this news-report up and show-case the illogical reasoning behind people's selfish motivations to have children at all costs and no thought for either the children or their fellow humans. Humans are not supposed to breed like animals, six or more babies at a time. It is completely against all natural laws. I present to you, the illogical fruits of religious poisoning:---Sextuplet boom: 2 moms, 2 states, 12 babiesPOSTED: 2:07 p.m. EDT, June 12, 2007PHOENIX, Arizona (AP) -- Two sets of sextuplets were born in different states less than a day apart, a rare occurrence but one that fertility experts say could become increasingly common as more couples seek artificial methods of conceiving babies.Brianna Morrison, 24, who used fertility drugs, gave birth just before midnight Sunday in Minneapolis, Minnesota. About 10 hours later, Jenny Masche, 32, who used artificial insemination, gave birth Monday in Phoenix...

Multi Drug Resistant-TB: Russian Economic Collapse Will Lead To Global Spre
2007-05-31 17:10:00
Science Daily ? The Public Health Research Institute, Doctors Without Borders (Medecins sans Frontiers) and the Medical Emergency Relief Network International (MERLIN) have issued a joint statement about the need for international attention and support to combat the epidemic of drug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) in Russia, which is threatening to become a global problem.Referring to the disease as "Ebola with Wings," the organizations released their plea after members of the PHRI/Soros TB Advisory Committee toured prisons in Tomsk and Kemerovo the week Sept. 7. PHRI has begun pilot programs in prisons in Tomsk, Ivanovo and Marii El as part of a $12.3 million project funded by philanthropist George Soros to combat TB in Russia. Before their tour, PHRI and the Russian Ministry of Health hosted the International Workshop on TB in Russia on Monday, Sept. 7, 1998 to address the serious public health problem.Following is the statement from three organizations. Al Gore Newsletter
2007-05-23 00:22:00
Dear ...,In the months following the release of An Inconvenient Truth, I began to focus on why our democracy has been so slow to deal with the climate crisis. The unwillingness to solve this problem is not only the result of a lack of political will, but it has also been caused by the emergence of a new political environment dangerously hostile to reason, knowledge, and facts. In the long-term, this poses a threat to the very basis of American democracy: the ability of a well-informed citizenry to use the rule of reason to hold government accountable. This Assault on Reason is the focus of my new book that goes on sale today. You can purchase the book at your local bookstore or by visiting:http://www.amazon.com/Assault-Re ason-Al-Gore /dp/1594201226When George Bush launched his preemptive war in Iraq, more than 70% of Americans believed Saddam Hussein was linked to the terrorists who caused 9-11. After the 2004 election, when asked what stuck in their minds about the campaign, voters i...

Albert Einstein on Overpopulation
2007-05-22 23:26:00
A quote by Alber t Einstein on overpopulation ..."I am convinced that some political and social activities and practices of the Catholic organizations are detrimental and even dangerous for the community as a whole, here and everywhere. I mention here only the fight against birth control at a time when overpopulation in various countries has become a serious threat to the health of people and a grave obstacle to any attempt to organize peace on this planet." [Albert Einstein -- letter, 1954]"I think that sums it up nicely. The main cause of overpopulation can be found by examining the Industrial Revolution.More information about the causes and repercussions of unstemmed overpopulation may be found in Guido Moosbrugger's book "And Yet ... Leaders urged to be "brave" on population growth
2007-05-04 17:25:00
LEADERS URGED TO BE ?BRAVE? ON POPULATION GROWTHNews Release - March 13 2007 - Optimum Population TrustThe extra human population forecast for the planet in 2050 will have an effect on climate change equivalent to nearly two more Americas, the Optimum Population Trust said today (Tuesday, March 13).Commenting on the new population projections released by the UN in New York today, which show global population rising by 2.5 billion to 9.2 billion by 2050*, OPT co-chair Valerie Stevens said: ?The world needs to wake up to the devastating effects the growth in numbers of our own species is having on the climate, on planetary ecosystems and on human survival prospects.?Year after year population figures are released that must spell increasing crisis for all of us and yet they are met with a deafening silence. Everything we manage to achieve for the natural environment is being wiped out by the nearly 80 million extra people each year who need to use up space and resources.?We know that p...

Children with no families ...
2007-05-02 21:57:00
It is truly a crying shame that there are currently about 513,000 children waiting for foster care in our Dept. of Human Services. These are children that have been deprived of a healthy and happy childhood because of teen pregnancy, abject poverty, parental physical and sexual abuse, parental drug and alcohol abuse and so on (orphaned by the death of one or both parents is another matter altogether). The aforementioned are parents who should not have had children to begin with and would have thus spared these unfortunate innocents much pain, hardship and deprivation.Having a child is indeed a privilege that should be granted through humane and logical reasoning only to those parents who have the required wisdom, maturity and means to provide for, and support a child in all the said child's needs and requirements for developing and growing into a responsible, truly humane and righteous human being.Just because we are capable of producing offspring biologically does not mean that we ...

Overpopulation and emerging infectious disease epidemics and world-wide pan
2007-05-01 20:15:00
Another scourge of overpopulation ... the ever-increasing number of infectious diseases nature is visiting upon us due to our own ignorance and increasing overpopulation of the Earth; the crowding out of nature to make way for our burgeoning cities, industry and agriculture. Our Earth currently is overpopulated by more than 7.5 billion human beings, a number which is increasing every minute of every day - a vast drain on the planet's not-endless natural resources. Something has to give, and give it will, at a very dear cost to all life on this planet if people do not finally realize how absolutely crucial an issue overpopulation is. Scientists speculate that we have not yet discovered up to about 14,000 different faunal and floral species resident in the rainforests of the world. For emphasis that should read: "Essential to our continued existence" rainforests that are gobbled up at a rate of over 150 acres per minute, every day!! A completely criminal act against planet Earth an...

Area Of Influence Of Earthquakes Could Be Larger Than Currently Thought
2007-04-29 16:09:00
Aah how interesting ... The Plejarens (see "FIGU" links on this blog) provided the information in a public contact report with Billy Meier in the 70's about the "trigger" effect of earthquakes, i.e. that earthquakes are not a single event and restricted to one area of influence, but do in fact lead to more earthquakes in other parts of the world due to energy transference - something like a "ping-pong" effect. The scientists have only recently started figuring this out:Area Of Influence Of Earthquakes Could Be Larger Than Currently Thought Source: Universitat Autonoma de BarcelonaDate: November 27, 2006Dr Álvaro Corral, a Ramón y Cajal researcher for the UAB Department of Physics, studies the relationships between the time and place of earthquake occurrences (ie, the jumps between an initial earthquake and another earthquake at a later time in another place) using statistical physics methods. By analysing data on the distance between consecutive earthquakes, Dr Corral has concluded t...

Global warming causing thirstier trees
2007-04-28 19:25:00
Global warming causing thirstier treesOAK RIDGE, Tenn., April 24 (UPI)U.S. scientists have determined increased levels of ozone associated with the release of greenhouse gases are causing vegetation to use more water. The research conducted by the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory found increased levels of greenhouse gases might intensify the effects of global warming on ecological systems.Researchers Sandy McLaughlin of the University of Tennessee and Stan Wullschleger of ORNl studied of trees in the mountains of East Tennessee. They found current levels of ozone amplified the effects of climate stresses on large tree growth, transfer of water from soil to the atmosphere and rates of stream flow from forested watersheds. The mechanism for those effects, implicated by several studies, is plants' reduced capacity to regulate water loss through stomata -- the breathing pores in leaves.Researchers cautioned, however, further tests are necessary involving addition...

To The People Of Earth! SEND THIS APPEAL TO ALL ...
2007-04-25 00:56:00
To The People Of Earth ! SEND THIS APPEAL TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES There are times where the sky is burning; -- there are times where the earth is torn apart, oceans flood the country and thousands lose their lives; there are times, where mothers are forever separated from their children, times, where lovers see each other for the last time, friends say definitely good-bye and the dearest die in a blazing inferno. There are times, where the hope for a safe future is robbed by the greed for power. Times, where a fanatic philosophy of life strangles the desire for love, hate abandons the endeavour for living harmoniously together and the will to kill is stronger than the will to respect and to protect the splendor of the gift of life.In spite of these times of darkness and madness, never forget to smile if you have the possibility; never forget to be amazed when the sun rises behind the horizon and a new day is dawning. Never forget to love yourself and the ground whereupon y...

Overpopulation 'is main threat to planet'
2007-04-21 17:43:00
Overpopulation 'is main threat to planet' By Steve Connor, Science EditorPublished: 07 January 2006 Climate change and global pollution cannot be adequately tackled without addressing the neglected issue of the world's booming population, according to two leading scientists.Professor Chris Rapley, director of the British Antarctic Survey, and Professor John Guillebaud, vented their frustration yesterday at the fact that overpopulation had fallen off the agenda of the many organisations dedicated to saving the planet. The scientists said dealing with the burgeoning human population of the planet was vital if real progress was to be made on the other enormous problems facing the world."It is the elephant in the room that nobody wants to talk about" Professor Guillebaud said. "Unless we reduce the human population humanely through family planning, nature will do it for us through violence, epidemics or starvation."Professor Guillebaud said he decided to study the field of human repro...

EcoWellness: Climate change and health
2007-04-20 23:21:00
By CHRISTINE DELL'AMORE News Daily ReportMELBOURNE, April 19 (UPI) -- Climate change may have already set in motion serious and drastic impacts to public health, a trend that requires swift reactions from governments to adapt, experts said Wednesday.Recent heat waves, hurricanes, droughts and growth in infectious diseases may all be linked to global warming, though they remain "tantalizing clues," said Tony McMichael, director of the National Center for Epidemiology and Population Health at The Australian National University in Canberra."As opposed to the 1990s, when we were anxious about basic climate science, now we need to pay attention to what the impacts are and what they're likely to be in the future -- and what steps need to be taken," McMichael told a panel at the World Conference of Science Journalists in Melbourne.Experts suspect heat waves will cause more deaths as the world warms, a trend that may be already under way. For instance, in August 2003 a French heat wave le...

Group Calls for Population Control to Stop Global Warming
2007-04-20 22:24:00
By Monisha BansalCNSNews.com Staff WriterApril 18, 2007 (CNSNews.com)See original article here.Ahead of Earth Day on Sunday, an advocacy group warned that the United States is ignoring "the most crucial factor in reducing global warming" -- population control."Human population growth is the paramount environmental issue," Ric Oberlink, a spokesman for Californians for Population Stabilization, told Cybercast News Service."Global warming is a very serious problem, but it is a subset of the overpopulation problem," he said.Oberlink argued that an increase in the emission of "greenhouse gases" -- carbon dioxide and other gases blamed for climate change -- is a result of human activity, "like most environmental problems."Although one part of the equation is what people do, he said, the other part is how many there are."If we had half as many people, we wouldn't have much of a climatic warming problem," argued Oberlink."Many have noted the disproportionate impact of America on greenhous...

Volcanic eruptions - Effects on climate
2007-04-20 18:46:00
You may wonder what my sudden fascination with volcanic eruptions are all about. Well, I will tell you this much ... it has a direct bearing on human overpopulation, in many more ways than one (including the proliferation of earthquakes and other drastic climate changes). Not only are we the main cause of "global warming" but our actual "mass" (yes -our cumulative weight) is seriously affecting the dynamics of the Earth's crust - causing pressure points and unbearable strains which ultimately lead to disturbances in the tectonic plates --> leading to earthquakes --> leading to volcanic eruptions, etc. and so an ever widening "cycle" of destruction is created. This is only one aspect of our "western" civilization and its affects on the natural world. I will go into more detail and more explanations about this particular subject in a future post. For now I want to share with you information about the effects of Volcanic eruptions on climate, and why it is important to pay heed to these...

Nevado del Huila volcano erupting - over 10,000 lives in iminent danger
2007-04-19 01:38:00
Here again is a prime example of the "Nancy-Grace-ism" (i.e. "sensationalism") that is increasingly taking over the more popular and well-known news agencies. CNN's top story is still about the Virginia Tech killings. Now while it is a shocking event, and a tragic loss of life, it is nevertheless not any more important than the Nevado del Huila volcano that erupted yesterday, endangering the lives of more than 10,000 people!!! Yet, this significant and important report, again, is buried into obscurity. Now it does not take a genius to figure out which story is the "real" seller, you know, the money-maker of the two, i.e. Virginia Tech vs 400+ year old massive exploding earthquake causing volcano. You guessed it, they opt for playing on people's horror and penchant for sensationalistic stories for their best greedy money-making effect. The story about the significant eruption of this particular volcano does not merit more than a passing glance ... oh no! heaven forbid we actually h...

The Earth She Is Weeping ...
2007-04-17 20:27:00
UN study cites growing human damage to ecologyThe Associated Press - 5 April 2005LONDON - Growing populations and expanding economic activity have strained the planet's ecosystems over the past half-century, a trend that threatens international efforts to combat poverty and disease, a UN-sponsored study of the Earth 's health has warned. The Millennium Ecosystem Assessment, a four-year, $24 million study released Wednesday, is the largest to show how people are changing their environment. It found that humans had depleted 60 percent of the world's grasslands, forests, farmlands, rivers and lakes. Unless nations adopt more environmentally friendly policies, increased human demands for food, clean water and fuels could speed the disappearance of forests, fish and fresh water reserves and lead to more frequent disease outbreaks over the next 50 years, the report said.Jonathan Lash, a member of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment board, said in London that the report was an audit of na...

Global warming could spur 21st century conflicts
2007-04-16 21:48:00
OSLO (Reuters) - Droughts, floods and rising seas linked to global warming could spur conflicts in coming decades, experts said on Monday, the eve of a first U.N. Security Council debate on climate change. The poor in tropical regions of Africa and Asia are likely to suffer most, perhaps creating tensions with rich nations in the temperate north which are likely to escape the worst effects of warming widely blamed on use of fossil fuels."Global warming increases the potential for conflict," Janos Bogardi, head of the U.N. University's Institute for Environment and Human Security in Bonn, told Reuters."The most imminent effect is probably desertification and land degradation," he said. His group says climate change may force hundreds of millions from their homes in the long term.Bogardi said violence in the Darfur region of Sudan, where 200,000 people have died, was "probably the most prominent example" of a conflict partly caused by land degradation. In the longer term, rising seas c...

The Crusade Against Overpopulation
2007-04-15 19:44:00
On Thursday, April 8, 2004, at 8:00 pm, there lived 7,101,500,011 human beings on Earth! See "Over population". Since this date this number has now increased to around 7.5 billion, according to Plejaren calculation. Some comments on Overpopulation excerpted from the Questions to Billy section on the FIGU Forum??the most urgent solution to be taken still is the birthrate check, because if the terrestrial population growth cannot be stopped and then continually reduced, all the big problems of our time cannot be solved.???The more people are living on a planet, the less value is granted to one?s fellow-human being and the more indifference is around.???The human way to reduce the population should occur through the use of reason and self-responsibility and by measures that apply to all countries and all people as proposed by FIGU").The Crusade Again st Overpopulation (excerpt from FIGU's "Manifesto"):?One of FIGU's great concerns is making Earth's inhabitants aware that the majority o...

Global Warming - The Real Cause & Solution
2007-04-13 16:16:00
Right, so now the Scientists have finally agreed that "we" are the primary cause of Global War ming . Governments are starting to take notice, but the truth is, it is a little bit too late. The boulder has started its descent down the steep mountain side, and it is gaining speed at a rapid rate.Don't fool yourself - the cataclysmic natural events predicted are already happening. Nature is not going to wait for you to live out your life and then start it's inevitable reaction to mankind's raping of her. Come on! Wake-up.If the massive 2004 Indian Ocean Earthquake and it's resultant destructive Tsunami didn't wake you up, then what will? Not to mention Hurricane Katrina (which btw, is small-potatoes compared to what's coming), the ongoing droughts in Australia, the USA (the once mighty Colorado River rarely reaches the Ocean any more) and other parts of the World, flooding and earthquakes, the melting of the Arctic ice-cap, the rapid extinction of faunal and floral species - the l...

Hypocrisy of the Catholic Church

Today's main headline on CNN reads "Pope: 'How much suffering' in the world" ... it is really quite hypocritical and quite laughable. Anyone who does a little research into the abhorrent behavior of the Cat holic Church over the ages, and even as recent as our own times with the disgusting child molestation by it's pious leaders should know that this most recent "lament" from the Pope is nothing more than a sham, designed to lull people into false beliefs. It certainly does not reflect true humanitarian motives in any sense of the word. In truth, the Catholic Church , including many other Religions, is guilty of the murderous bloodshed of untold millions, exceptional greed, suppression of Truth, deceptions and lies, and many more dire sufferings brought upon the Earth and its humanity to this very day! It is an evil and criminal institution, not a 'holy' vessel.Find out for yourself ... I found the history of the Church fascinating. See The Wars of Religion And what about the ch...
