People's voice is God's voice. Use God's voice with responsibility.

US Elections would be one of the most memorable events in 2008. Not only US had the excitement sweep upon the entire nation, the whole world seemed indulged in the whole party, including Indonesia.I won't use too many words about Indonesia that went frenzy about US Elections because I have bigger question for next year.Next year. 2009. Indonesia will have Elections. How are we going to face it?It's a little bit ironic here if we Indonesians were so ecstatic about US Elections and we care less about our own nation's elections. And the question is, why?In some parts, I think it's because of the candidates themselves, the programs and the condition. As years and leaders gradually changed, the people are developing the most disastrous behaviours. Apathy and ignorance. "Don't know and don't care." How would you expect something out from people who only merely shrugged their shoulders and said that they care none the less about the issues around? From that kind of behaviours, we have...

"If you want the facts, it's a size 10 shoe that he threw"

Okay. This will be a quite short entry.Commenting an incident of shoes that thrown at President Bush during his visit to Iraq, I must say my opinions.First, I couldn't blame Muntadar al-Zaidi (the journalist) for throwing the shoes. Well, see the fact here. It was during Bush' presidency when USA attacked Iraq and created global protests all over the world. Couldn't blame that guy if he gets really pissed off. Iraqis are having demonstration at the street, demanding Mr. al-Zaidi to be released though.Second, apparently Bush has sense of humor. "It's the way of people to draw attention... It's like going to political rally with all people yelling at you.." He also even commented "If you want the facts, it's a size 10 shoe that he threw." For me it's like "whoa..." Well, he could take it calmly and Iraqi journalists are being very courteous :) Third, please consider other's feeling before you decide to attack one's country :D Well, first thing: Shoe . Next? I don't think any ...

Actually this topic was at my point of late-at-nite discussion with my friend but then I'm taking liberty of putting it here. Well, although my friend told me "it's useless to beat a dead horse. Dead stupid horse" but I don't care. Even if this wouldn't change anything, at least please let me saying out loud what's on my mind. It's about an article by this what-so-called medical people who thought themselves being a messiah by saying condoms are having no use and no effect in preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS. The article is in Bahasa Indonesia anyway. As my friend and I have did it before, lets digest the article one by one, shall we? First, nothing better than forewords. According to Health Ministry, up to Sept...

Just in case you didn't know the meaning of 'ORLY', I suggest you read this article at Urban Dictionary which also means that we geeks rules t3h world! Okay.I know this is kinda late but I couldn't keep my mind off from this article. After spending several lunatic days at the office, finally I able to sit and type about my opinions. In such a nice coincidence, there is this One Day For Human Rights event and Indonesia's 16-Days Campaign To Stop Violence. The folks at One Day For Human Rights said that they are inspired by Blog Action Day. Hey, such a cool action! See? The Internet is unlimited! Hmm, I don't know whether here in Indonesia we will have such similar action as Blog Action Day or not, but I think it would be cool if in one day we in Indonesia could blog about one topic regarding some social issues, economics, politics or many more.Okay, I'm babbling. Now, the topic for today's entry is about our Papua friends with HIV/AIDS are getting microchips.Oooo. [English] Because it's visible

Once my friend at online world asked a question "why such thing like race is important and could lead to racism?"At first I answered due to the basis of biological conditions. Several races in this world have some special conditions which could be pretty harmful if being mixed -- although thanks to recent's medical and knowledge innovations, that kind of thing could be avoided. Then just now I knew the answer."Sex and Race, because they are easy, visible differences, have been the primary ways of organising human beings into superior and inferior groups and into the cheap labour on which this system still depends."Gloria SteinemBecause it's visible. Because it could be seen from outside. Because we could see that the colors of our skin are different. And some people are afraid of a thing called 'differences'.Dear me, we all being separated just because our eyes see it as 'different'?This poem was nominated by UN as the best poem of 2006, Written by an African KidWhen I born, I b...

I should say that this topic could be quite political and there might be some readers here feel offended with this topic. Nevertheless, I'm trying to be as objective as I could although yes, there might be some words here that you could feel offensive to you and your country. Here in Indonesia we're familiar about our rivalry with Malaysia. And maybe folks at Malaysia realized it too. Some cases happened between the two countries and the cases never pretty. Some people assume it started since Soekarno discontinued the diplomacy between two countries at 1960s. The diplomacy resumed again yet some issues raised up recently which makes some things going worse. My sister told me a story about her two colleagues that got their internship at Malaysia several months ago. "I should consider myself lucky," my sis told me, "for Japan never really take a fuss about everything. Their efficiency and discipline made everything is easy for me. Unlike what my friends have encountered at Malaysia be...

So perfect a government is not for men.- Jean Jacques RousseauWe're living the era of gods and goddesses. Just when I logged in to the Net after enjoying Sunday as my No Net Day and waved some greetings to my fellow tweeters (Twitter users) at Twitter, @aulia told me that he tagged me about tweeters that we should consider as 'must-follow'.Okay, that is not easy.Me myself following 288 people. And once I tweeted, "The advantage of following cool designers at Twitter: Many access to cool resources for graphic and web designs :D"Okay, in this list I'm trying to be fair for everyone :D By I mean 'fair' is talking about top-notch, high quality guys and gals with experiences that they feel unashame to share. If you ask me personally, I would put JTUG (Jakarta Twitter Usergroup) peeps as numero uno. However, lets just say that it's for internal record XD We are so close. And super chatty. I must say that somehow we apologize firsthand when a new tweeter joined JTUG because when you're joining JTUG (or in Twitter, the ID is @jtug) it means that you're signing your very own Twitter ID D...

My best friend once commented that Marketing is similar with dating games. The main reason why Marketing is similar with dating services is because both ideas are about connecting to people. It's about how you get your target's interest, praise them or put them in fear of losing (or stuffs like that) and then explain to them about your value. Why you should get me. Why you should spend 5-minutes in your precious life to listen to my words about me (or my product/service/whatever.)However, as we all know, not all the stories ended happily ever after. When the customer finally sign the agreement to use your product/service, that's when the nightmares lurking around. In the middle of the road, you might face obstacles. You might found bumpy road ahead. Maybe your Customer Services didn't do good enough. Maybe your customers are not easy as you thought. Maybe your products need to be improved. [English] One shall forgive, but we shall not forget
2008-11-09 20:25:00
