Smorty is a service connecting advertisers with bloggers. Advertisers can pay bloggers to write opinion posts with links back to the advertisers site. I have actually just signed up for it and find it pretty nifty and easy to use. Though the campaigns that you get to do aren't the greatest, some are pretty decent and you can infact write about them. Get paid to blog, get paid for blogging, blog advertising, advertise on blogs, blog for money. You can actually try it out. Actually, I think its a pretty interesting concept cause I am actually getting some good campaigns that I can write about. I am hoping that I get some technological gadgets and stuff that will really interest me. If Smorty really pays me well, I might end up reviewing a lot of stuff. But a word of caution. The rules say that you must write between 150 - 300 words on the post. This is sometimes, getting to be a pain as I need a word count software. No, don't tell me to use MS Word.

Damn, I just love this new version of Opera Mini . Its got some really neat features. The one I love the most has to be the option where you can view the page in landscape format!!. Another nifty feature is that you can zoom out on the page and use the pointer as a mouse. Once you navigate to that part of the page that you want, you can then zoom in. Amazing!!. Yet another feature is the custom search function. Simply click on the search field that you want to grab on a web page and then choose "Create search" within your menu alternatives. I don't know why we don't use this number. We have it splashed across on newspapers and signboards and have even handouts given asking people to call this number after an accident. And I believe that it is a free service!. From the Hindu dated Nov 07, 2007 you might have read about another unknown person being hit by a vehicle on the roads. I was actually at the site of the accident 2 minutes after it happened. People all mill around the accident site and what I first saw was the 2-wheeler crushed under a college bus. Since I saw no one took any action , I thought the rider of the bike must have died. Going close, I saw that he was lying on his back, bloody, gasping for breath and bleeding from the back of his head. No one wanted to touch him or help. I tried asking a call center cab guy for help and he said no way and pushed off. I asked some people to help and no one came forward. I called the cops and gave them the location and then called 080-5061. Promptly picked up, they ask...

Woohoo!!! What an awesome race. No team orders, no bull!. Just pure racing and some misfortune for Lewis Hamilton saw the Iceman - Kimi Raikkonen win his maiden World Cham pion ship. Some really level-headed racing by Felipe Massa and Kimi ensured that no one else overtook them and got Kimi the championship by just 1 point!.Picture courtesy ABC Corp.Its so fun/satisfying/interesting/awesome/cool/b eautiful/gratifying to see that people do not like a taste of their own medicine when stuffed down their throat and get all hot under the collar and lose their cool. Thanks to Anwin, I have validated my new domain name using Google WebMaster Tools and also seen to it that Google crawls my new domain. Have also added a sitemap using the feed. So Google should be updating itself with this info and hope to be getting Smorty back up.

My opinion on organisations like the RIAA and CRIA is that they are killing music. They are simply hack-sawing (slowly) the goose that in the end, lays the golden egg!. They seem to be lost in the golden age of music and are following an old and unsustainable business model. A lot has been written about this and we don't seem to be seeing the end of it. DRM and other useless restrictions are destroying the freedom on music we listen to. I don't see why I can't rip onto my computer a music CD that I bought!. I paid for it. I own it. Or if there is a problem, the band that created this music in the first place owns the recording!. All these needless antics of law-suits by the recording industry on people who share music online or recently, even ripped the CD onto a computer is crazy. Recording industry - your business is flawed!. You better come up with some ideas - fast!. The point I am trying to put across here is that all these law-suits and what-not finally do not end up helpin...

Well, me thinks this is a very good idea. India is one of the few developing/developed countries in the world which does not have its citizens to compulsorily serve in the army at one point in their lives. I really believe that this will teach a lot of values to our people and make them learn discipline both mental and physical!. Also think that it will teach them to stop cribbing and crying for all the governments faults and help out more to make this country a better place. Rolling Stone has an amazing interview with David Gilmour who has just released the DVD "Remember that Night - Live from the Royal Albert Hall". In it, he discusses about the new releases, Pink Floyd and Roger Waters. Kinda sad to see him say these lines - "What I’ve been doing for the last couple of years — what I was in the middle of when Live 8 came along — was my album, and that’s what I’m thinking about. It’s been a joy and very satisfying, and the album did very well, even though Rolling Stone only gave it two stars. Everything went so well, I can’t see why I would want to be going back to that old thing. It’s very retrogressive. I want to look forward, and looking back isn’t my joy. Roger hasn’t written a lyric lately that has really been something where I’ve gone, “Wow, I wish that was part of my oeuvre.” I don’t know how one puts it, but going back into all that just wouldn’t bring me joy. It’s my time of life to be selfish — please myself....

Metal : A Pick Of Destiny

(Devilish laughter in background)....what fucking awesome movies!!. If you are a true rock/metal fan, you gotta watch "A Pick Of Destiny " and "Metal : A Headbanger's Journey". While the first one is more comedic and good fun, the second one is all in-your-face truth about the metal culture.Tenacious D star in APOD as themselves and its really good fun. I enjoyed the part where JB gets high on some mushrooms and trips like mad!! The best parts are where Dio comes to him in a vision after he is locked in his room as a kid!. And the scenes with the sasquatch!! Hahaha..Dave Grohl is also in the movie - as Satan. Great acting I should say.A more in your face movie about Metal is "Metal : A Headbanger's Journey". An incredibly awesome movie, the only thing I would have loved would for the movie to have been longer, much longer. Like say, 10 hours or so....interviewing more bands!. Its really a great documentary done by Sam Dunn meeting a cross section of metal-stars, both young and old....
