2007-07-30 19:28:00 Hello everyone! A good friend of ours came over Saturday afternoon and brought me the most beautiful flowers that he bought at the farmers market. And as an added bonus corn on the cob! Now I love fresh corn smothered in hot melted butter; my stomach is starting to grumble just thinking about it. We had it with spaghetti that night, yummy :)I didn't have a vase for the flowers so I put them in a huge cup after my own heart that says "Coffee pot to Go" and this mug is like 64 ounces! The flowers look beautiful, I have them sitting on my kitchen table. 2007-07-29 13:37:00 I was watching the news this morning about a man who has created life size cardboard cutouts of real kids to slow down speedy drivers. He sets these cutouts by the road for drivers to see. I for one would love to make lead foot drivers slow down so that my kids would at least have a fighting chance if they run out into the road. Now mind you I watch my kids really well but there is always the what if accident that could happen. This idea would be great if it worked but there is always the flip side to everything?.Now imagine a person driving down the road drinking their coffee, daydreaming about whatever with one hand on the wheel the other around there Java fix. They have you take this ridiculous prescreening test that has nothing to do with the job your applying for.Take for instance these 2 questions that I was asked, now mind you I was not filling in an application to work for a grocery store but I was asked questions pertaining to one. Lots of room for a swing set :) Not to mention the backyard barbecues with new found friends and family. Yummy I can already smell the aroma of tasty hotdogs and hamburgers cooking on the grill. Big ole metal bucket filled with ice and Corona beers! Feeling the cold cool glass and the wetness of the ice on the bottle, drinking a huge swig! ok that's it I am having me a beer right now without the damn barbeque! I don't drink that often but man doesn't that sound good? :) My sweetheart planted some of the most prettiest flowers right before I got here and wow they are just beautiful! 2007-06-22 12:03:00 Hey everyone! so sorry I haven't posted in awhile but I have been recuperating from that two day amtrack train ride across the country! My bottom, legs, back, you name it was sore after that. When they advertised the seats as plush as lazyboy recliners, they lied the bastards!! It was more like a greyhound bus with no tilt button.The first night I slept in the seat it was pure murder then the second night I got smart :) I took my blanket and the insanely thin pillow they give you and went to the observation car. I slept on the floor and I was in heaven. I stretched out and fell right to sleep :) I was not the only one doing this alot of people were so I didn't feel to weird except for the next day when I woke up and was the only one still laying on the floor and everyone was staring at me lmao!! There was nothing she wouldn't do for her children. This year all the women in my family are stepping in for her and wrapping our arms around the kids for Paige. My mother is one of the most brave dedicated women in the world. She took care of Paige while she was dying and I know that was the hardest thing my mother has ever had to do in her life. Being a mother is tough, hard, sacrificing, but one of the most rewarding jobs in the world. I remember something my oldest daughter said to me and I will never forget it.
