tracking it
2008-05-21 05:56:00
I am a total nut when I have a shipment coming in from an online order. I can't help but check the tracking number repeatedly throughout each day until the item gets here. My point.... our Xbox 360 should be here tomorrow! I'm going to have to run out and rent some new video games!! Dead Rising here I come.

clean it out
2008-05-21 05:35:00
My dad is the healthiest person I know next to my husband. I never realized why until I started reading a site about Colon Clean sing. Have you ever read about it? Have you ever considered it? Or maybe some of you out there have already used a body detoxification product. Anyway, I was reading about it because I was curious about why people do such things and found out a great deal of information. I know this may seem like a silly post, but I'm being completely serious. I had no idea that having a toxic colon could cause so many different health issues! It can be the cause of weight problems, a weak immune system and even things you wouldn't think of such as bad breath and a lack of energy. Did anyone else know this? Am I the only one not sitting on the pot here? It seems crazy that I would considering using a colon cleanser because I've always laughed at such things, but maybe it would help me in my quest for being healthier. What do you think? As I stated in the beginning of ...
in the dark
2008-05-21 05:31:00
It's ten thirty at night and my husband is outside in the dark changing the oil in my car. It needed it badly. He also put two new front tires on it for me. I still have to take it in to get them balanced and to get a front end alignment, but for now it will be better (and safer) than the tires I had on it. They over stayed their welcome for sure. I wish I would have done it sooner, but sometimes it's hard to fit things in. Since we are going away this weekend and have a several hour drive each way, we wanted to make sure all things were good on my car. I can't wait until the weekend gets here!

let it end
2008-05-21 01:08:00
I'm so tired of being at work and it's only fifteen minutes past six. Another hour and forty-five minutes of dealing with annoying customers. I know.. I'm not very nice. I can't help it. It's been one idiot after another today and I'm ready for it to end for the evening. I'm much more chipper in the morning before I've been exposed to an over abundance of stupidity. Is it Friday yet?
new contacts
2008-05-19 21:05:00
My sister is always talking about how her eyes are dry and irritated from wearing her contacts. She is frequently taking them out and having to put her glasses on. I feel so bad for her. It makes my eyes water just watching her deal with that aggravation. I'm so glad I don't have to wear glasses or contacts. I did, however, recently tell her about acuvue oasys because I came across an ad online. Not only will she save money - up to 70% off the current price she is paying - but they are better for her eyes. She will no longer have to switch back and forth from her contacts to her glasses. One really wonderful thing about 1-800-GET-LENS is that she can buy them direct instead of making an appointment with her eye doctor every time.

long and hard
2008-05-19 20:20:00
It's only twenty minutes after one and I am already tired. We have been so busy at work that I can't even get a break between calls. Where do all these people come from? It amazes me that so many people call in every day. Do they have nothing better to do than call their insurance company? Sigh. I wish it was Friday.

long Monday
2008-05-19 15:58:00
Today is going to be a very long day. I'm working from 8am to 8pm. Fun, fun. It's not as bad as I anticipated though because they actually adjusted my schedule to give me 3 breaks and a lunch to make up for the extra hours I'm working. They normally don't do that. Usually when I work OT they pile the extra hours on top of my already planned schedule and I have to wait 5 hours for my first break. I'm so glad they changed it. That will definitely make it easier to get through the day. Although, my lunch is at 12:15 and I'm used to going to lunch around 3pm. I can't complain though. At least I don't have to wait until 1:30 pm for my first break.

good weekend
2008-05-19 03:42:00
It's been a pretty good weekend. I really enjoyed going to church with my mom and sister and then we had a good time at the candle party at my mother-in-law's house on Saturday night. I got a lot of great stuff. I can't wait until it gets here. Today wasn't as relaxing as I'd hoped, but it has been sort of "blah" kind of day. I'm already bummed that tomorrow is Monday. I am working a twelve hour day. I volunteered for it because it's three hours of over time, but I'm still not looking forward to it. What I am looking forward to is next weekend. I get to have a "date" with my husband on Friday night and then we're taking off for the three day holiday weekend with the kids. I hope the week goes by fast.

leather obsession
2008-05-18 19:04:00
On a day-to-day basis I am a pretty tame person. Sometimes it's nice to spice things up though. My husband and I are going out on a "date" next Friday. Our kids are going to spend the night at my mother-in-laws house so we are going to go out to dinner and a movie. After that we will have the house to ourselves for once. Having no kids in the house equals time to get a little crazy. I've been shopping for a little something special to wear that evening. Perhaps a leather corset would be nice. I think my husband will be thrilled. I don't know what man would not enjoy his wife buying something leather to wear for him from time to time. We're going to have a good time. I can't wait until next weekend! Leather Obsession is a great place to find anything you need to spice up your special times. And for you men out there that are looking for a gift, they even wrap your purchase in gold tissue paper and a glossy black box. If you're worried about not getting the right size there is...
finally home
2008-05-17 03:52:00
I'm finally home from work and the "boys" just left for the movie theater. My husband was nice enough to put my daughter to bed before I got home in hopes that I would have a quiet evening. Unfortunately she is in her room crying right now, but maybe if I let her be for a few minutes she will find her "binky" and go to sleep. If I have to go in there, she will most definitely want to get out of her crib and hang with mom for the entire night. She stopped crying now so my fingers are crossed that she is content and on her way to dream land. I can't remember the last time I was home alone. I really have no idea what to do with myself. Maybe grab some left over dinner and rent a movie from OnDemand. It's kind of exciting knowing that I can do whatever I want with my evening. I sound pathetic, don't I? This is what happens when you're married and have young children.

too slow
2008-05-17 01:40:00
This evening is going by way too slow. Why do Friday's seem so long? It drives me crazy. I don't want to talk to any more customers. I just want to go home and enjoy my evening. Is that too much to ask for? Tick... tick... tick... One hour and nineteen minutes to go....

scoping out furniture
2008-05-17 01:39:00
So, as I mentioned before, we have some work to do on our back yard before we can throw my son a graduation party. Since I am stuck at work and bored out of my mind, I decided to start looking at some outdoor furniture to go along with our newly designed back yard. I was looking at teak tables at a place called Befurnished. I really like the teak bar set and would love to have that for our yard. It's made from one hundred percent solid plantation grown teak wood made in Indonesia. I think that the bar set is my favorite out of all the furniture they have on their site. I just don't know if I can afford it right now. Yes, we just got our stimulus check, but I don't think I want to spend it all on one set of lawn furniture either. It is great though, isn't it? I am so torn. I would like to get new yard furniture regardless. Maybe I can find something that better fits into my budget on their site. I'm going to keep looking. I know they have fabulous benches that would look great...

happy weekend
2008-05-16 19:19:00
I'm so happy it's Friday! Sure, I'm at work right now, but it's still the beginning of the weekend. My husband is taking our son to the movies tonight to see Iron Man. I'm sure they are going to have loads of fun. Once my daughter is in bed for the night, I will actually get some "me" time - silence in the house is what I'm looking forward too. A little computer time, maybe a little red wine, a little music. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Our Stimulus payment was deposited into our checking account this morning and we've already made the first purchase -- an Xbox 360. We'll call that my husbands early Father's Day gift. The rest of the money will go toward bills and we'll leave a chunk in the bank for safe keeping. My oldest son's high school graduation is on June 3rd! I'm so proud of him. We are going to get our backyard in shape so we can throw a graduation party for him next month. Tomorrow I think I will go shopping, get my nails repainted, go to 4:30 Ma...

easier than expected
2008-05-16 00:44:00
Well, dealing with my really long day has been much easier than I expected. Sure I still have an hour and fifteen minutes until I can walk away from my desk, but that is OK. I'm not letting it get me down. Before I know it my break will be upon me and once that is over I will only have 45 minutes until I can leave for the night. And we all know what tomorrow is -- Friday!!!
starting to see the light
2008-05-15 18:45:00
Tomorrow is Friday. I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the long-ass work week. Today is payday so that is always good. It's beautiful outside today which puts me in a good mood too. The only thing I am slightly disappointed about today is my schedule at work. I have a meeting from 2:45 until 4:30 so they have me scheduled for a 1pm lunch and then I don't get a break until 7pm. The people that make up these schedules really must not care what they are doing. Why would I want to go to lunch only two hours after I get here? And then I can't get away from work until an hour before I leave? How freaking stupid. I asked my boss to submit a request to have it changed to a 1pm break and then my lunch hour after the meeting, but so far it hasn't been changed. I'm so bummed. It's going to make for a really long day. And now they are just teasing me. I had an alert pop up stating that my schedule had been changed, but they were just adjusting my times for tomorrow. Grrrr. ...

nearly half way
2008-05-14 18:00:00
It's hump day! I'm nearly half way through the work week - thank God. This has been a shit week and I'm desperately looking forward to the weekend. I'm super tired today. My daughter decided that she wanted to get up and play at about 11:30 last night. I don't think I went to bed until about 1am. Between the lack of sleep and still trying to get over the viral infection I had last week, my butt feels royally kicked today.

game systems
2008-05-13 18:26:00
My husband and I are quite the gamers. Well, not so much me anymore as he is, but only because I can't find a lot of games that thrill me. I have to wait years between installments of the games that I truly enjoy. Right now we have these game systems: Playstation 2 and Playstation 3, Wii, Nintendo Game Cube, 2 Nintendo DS (one regular, one lite), Nintendo 64, Sega CD and an Xbox. I'm probably missing a system or two, but that gives you an idea. We've been tossing around the idea of getting an Xbox 360 (finally) in the next couple of weeks. There are a lot of games that can be played on the 360 that aren't released on other systems such as Dead Rising - which I love. So, yeah... I think we'll be purchasing one soon and then we're done getting any new game systems for a while.

better things
2008-05-13 18:08:00
OK, well enough of the bad news. We're on to better things now. I may be a total geek for stating that this is better news than I've heard all week, but I am going to post about it anyway. The Online Backup program that I found a year or so ago did not, at that time, support Mac platforms or iPhones and now it does! Could it be any better news? I think not. I was so disappointed when I found out last year that it had everything I needed except supporting a Mac. I am most interested in the storage capabilities of the service since I have so much data to store and frequently worry about running out of space. IBackup provides an extensive enterprise ready feature-set for secure online storage with superior performance including snapshots, network drive, sharing, collaboration, sub-accounts, web folders and mobile access. IBackup is the most recommended and used online storage and backup provider. Now can you understand why I was so disappointed? and why now I am so happy that it fi...

not getting better
2008-05-13 17:56:00
Well, I guess this week is just going to be a bad news type of week. I just got to work and found out that a girl that works here died last night. Everyone is crying and there are going to be grief counselors here. I knew her. Not well, but I knew her. She was extremely nice.. always smiling, always saying hello to everyone. It's very sad.
this week sucks
2008-05-12 21:46:00
It's only the second day of the week and already it sucks. I've gotten bad news both days so far. I'm too "blah" right now to even go into detail, but yeah... this week totally sucks. I just want to go home, climb into bed and forget about it all. Is it Friday yet?

summer time fun
2008-05-12 18:51:00
I don't know if I mentioned this or not, but we are getting a pool at our new house. My father-in-law is getting a new pool so he is giving us the one he has now. I'm so geeked and so are the kids. I've never had a pool before. Well, we had one when I was little, but I don't remember it because it was taken down before I was old enough to go swimming. Now that we're getting a pool, I'm thinking that it would be nice to have a lay z spa too. I found it while looking at different things for pools and such. Just the thought of lounging on the weekends with a pool and a hot tub makes me smile. Can you picture it? Here, let me give you a visual aid. Looks like they're having a good time, doesn't it? I've made up my mind. We're getting one! We've been trying to come up with a list of things we want to spend our Stimulus payment on after the bills get paid and I think my husband and I both agree that this is a good purchase.

mother's day weekend
2008-05-11 03:42:00
My children bought me a manicure and a pedicure for Mother 's day today! It's been a long time since I've been pampered like that. I think I've only had my nails professionally done one other time since Gabrielle was born. They look so pretty and it feels wonderful having them done. We also spent a little money shopping at the mall. I got two new outfits for work and some new dress sandals too. Of course my kids and husband got a few things too. Evan got a new leopard Webkinz and Gabby got her first Lilkin - a white kitten. Evan will get the code for playing online, but she's in love with the kitty. My husband and I are going to watch movies, have drinks and play House of the Dead 2 and 3 Return on the Wii tonight. Then we're having family over tomorrow for a barbeque - fingers crossed that it won't rain even though it's heavily predicted. So far it's been a fantastic weekend! I hope everyone else is enjoying theirs as well.

one year anniversary
2008-05-09 23:51:00
This day last year I started working for the company that I presently work for. I had taken 6 months off after the birth of my daughter and decided that I didn't want to travel as far as I had been for the 4 years before that. I found a large, reputable company with great pay and benefits only five miles from home and today I am celebrating one year with the company. Time sure does fly. It's a good thing that it's only five miles from home too with the way gas prices are. I wouldn't have been able to afford the seventy mile round trip I was making with the previous company. This post also reminds me that my daughter just turned 18 months old this past Monday. Wow, can you believe it? A year and a half already. I can't believe how fast they grow up!

lost it
2008-05-09 20:59:00
OK, a few minutes ago something crossed my mind that I wanted to write here, but by the time I got off the phone with my customer and opened MT to start writing, I lost what I wanted to say. I have absolutely no stinking idea what it was about. I think it was something good too because I feel really disappointed that I can't remember. Is that crazy or what? Apparently I've taken too many drugs for this viral infection because I have completely lost my mind. On a brighter note... an email just went out a few minutes ago saying that there are several Chicken Ceasar wraps from our cafeteria -which are the best things in the world- left over from a recent meeting. Yum. I was on the phone, but had one of my favorite co-workers grab one for me!

computer gaming obsession
2008-05-09 18:57:00
We are pretty dead at work today - which I am totally fine with. I don't mind only taking one or two calls an hour. It's much better than being swamped and feeling overwhelmed. Anyway, my point is that I have been surfing the internet for random information on a variety of things. My husband has been obsessed with computers lately. He's a serious video game freak and always has been, but now he is determined to start playing computer games. He's been thinking about building a computer for himself for just this purpose. So, in my "travels" online I came across the perfect site for him: How to Build a Computer . It seems simple enough to me. The kit includes everything a person would need to build a computer. He can also get upgrade kits to increase the ram or replace the CPU. I know I will end up regretting telling him about it, as I will probably never see him again because he'll be locked in a room with this project, but I know he will appreciate the information!

Thank you all for your well wishes. I am feeling better today. Still hacking my lungs up, but at least I feel better. I got a good amount of sleep last night and woke up feeling like a different person. I am definitely not back to one hundred percent, but I feel like my body is trying to reach for it. Good stuff. Also... happy Friday!
the plague
2008-05-09 01:04:00
Yes, I have it. I have a viral infection that is wreaking havoc on me. I'm taking Musinex (over the counter) and a cough syrup with Codeine in it and 800 mg Motrin for all the aches and pains. I feel like I could pass out at my desk any minute. I took yesterday off because I could barely speak and was running a fever, but came into work today. Only an hour and a half left and I can go home and get some rest. I hope this is gone soon. I despise being sick. Well, I'm sure most people do. I don't know anyone who enjoys being ill, but I just thought I would throw that out there anyway.
lupus awareness month
2008-05-06 20:16:00
Did you know that May is Lupus Awareness Month ? I didn't know until about five minutes ago. Now I'm really hoping that we get that Stimulus money deposited very soon because I would like to donate some money to help raise money online for lupus. I know we don't all have loads of money to throw around, but every little bit that you can part with helps. If just the small amount of readers I have here donated a little bit of money, we could help someone reach their goal. What do you say? Are you ready to give a little bit in order to help a lot? I am headed over there now to see how I can help.
stimulus rebate check
2008-05-06 20:14:00
I am really looking forward to getting our Stimulus rebate check. I would have already gotten it, but we didn't file our taxes until around April 10th so we didn't fall into the schedule of when they were being deposited. The tax return has to be processed by April 15th, not just filed. I hope we won't have to wait too much longer. We could really use that extra money about now.
