My oldest son, Jamie, left me a comment asking where the pictures of him are. I do love my oldest son more than anything in the world. I just don't have any pictures of him from the last couple of weeks because he's been at his dads. I will post pictures this weekend of all of us because we are celebrating the Pisces birthdays (mine, both of my boys, my brother-in-law and my brother) this Sunday. Until then, here is a picture I have on my computer of me and my son.

I came into work and found out that our systems are all down. How much fun is that. We're taking calls and can't do anything with most of them. We're not even getting the correct calls for our department and can't transfer them to where they need to be. This is ridiculous. In other news, there is a shift bid going on at work right now so I may get an earlier shift. I won't know until the end of the month. I am concerned about the fact that there is a possibility that I could get a shift that only has a half hour lunch. I like my hour lunch and I love going home at lunch. I guess I'll just have to take whatever I get.

I lost my blogging mojo for a while, but I think it's starting to come back. I'm feeling a little more like myself again. I don't know what happened. I guess I just needed a break for a while. I'm not making any promises, but you may be seeing a bit more action around here. Hopefully I will get in the mood to express my opinion here too. My sister is doing all the work right now. I have quite a few things I'd like to write about, but haven't felt compelled to actually do it. Soon..

I know I've mentioned this before, but I truly despise having to work every third Saturday . It completely ruins my weekend. I should be at home in bed right now or, at the very least, lounging on the couch watching Sesame Street with my kids. I couldn't sleep last night so I am so tired. I think I only got about 3 hours of sleep and even that was interrupted. Is it time to go home yet?

Oh, geez.. it's February. Do you know what that means? It means that my birthday is this month - which means I will be turning 35 years old. When the hell did I get to be so old?!? Thirty-five years old? Are you nuts? I can't possibly be that close to turning 40 years old. This is insane. I'm filing a complaint!

Two blog posts in one day? I know.. totally unlike me lately. I don't know what my problem has been the last couple of weeks. I'm just tired and stressed and haven't felt like writing at all. Hopefully that will change soon. I do have another website with my sister to keep up with as well. I haven't done shit there either. I really need to shake off this BLAH feeling! Maybe it's just because it's cold and snowy and I can't stand winter. Yeah.. I'll blame Mother Nature.

CSI

I'm totally addicted to CSI as of yesterday! According to my husband, I always said "what a dumb show" every time he would turn it on, but yesterday I actually watched it and I love it! I watched several episodes (reruns) of the original show and then one of CSI: Miami. I like the original much better than Miami. I like the actors better and the chemistry between the actors. It seems much more realistic than Miami. It just flows where CSI: Miami does not. So now we have our DVR set up to record the reruns every night. That should keep me busy during the writers strike. I can't believe the show has been on for 8 seasons and I never gave it a chance. I have a lot to catch up on!!

Heath Ledger is dead

That is crazy! I was in shock when I heard it, but it's all over the place. Heath Ledger was found dead - possible drug overdose - in his lower Manhattan apartment on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. He was only 28 years old. How sad! I feel so bad for his baby girl, Matilda. Read more on CNN.

I haven't felt much like blogging lately - as you can tell. So much for blogging every day this year. I didn't even make it through the first month. Oh, well. Life goes on.. right? Not much is going on with me. Just enjoyed the long weekend and spending time with my family. Now I'm back at work. Blah.

I have done absolutely nothing today. I'm still in my pajamas, for crying out loud. I played a little Resident Evil: Nemesis on the GameCube this afternoon, played with my kids, watched a little television. Yep, I think that is about it. I have to work tomorrow and Saturday, but definitely looking forward to having Sunday and Monday off. I will probably do absolutely nothing then also. Plans for this evening: cut my son's hair, read part of a book with my son, play with my daughter and then.. once the kids are in bed.. my husband and I are going to rent Mr. Woodcock from OnDemand.

slow and shows

Everything about today is going so slow. My computer is running slow, the internet is running slow and the day is going by so slow. I'll be happy in another hour and fifty minutes when I can get the heck out of here. I am excited to watch our shows tonight. We are watching October Road which is on our DVR from last night and then Nip/Tuck is back after the holiday break. I'm hoping they will both be good episodes. We watched the Sarah Connor Chronicles on Sunday and watched the second part of the premiere last night. It's a good show and I'm glad that it's on. Not so happy that it's in the place of K-Ville, but I'm assuming that K-Ville has been cancelled and that is why. At least we have something decent to replace it.

I have been trying to catch up on all the emails that were sent while I was on vacation last week. I've been here for two hours and just finally read an email that states we will be closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day! That's so cool! So, even though I have to work this Saturday (which means that I get Thursday off), I still get a two day weekend. I also requested two days off in February so that I will have a 4 day weekend for my birthday. I couldn't help myself.

After nine wonderful days with my family I am now back at work (in hell). So far, so good. It's not overly busy so that's one positive thing. I miss my husband and kids already! I did not want to get out of bed this morning. I'm already looking at the vacation schedule to see when I can take more time off. Heh. Not that I will any time soon. I don't want to use up all my vacation time at the beginning of the year.

Well, it's almost over. My vacation, that is. I have to go back to work tomorrow. Blah. I think that's the first time I've used "blah" about anything since I've been on vacation. It's been an extraordinary nine days with my family. I know I didn't do much of anything, but it was great just hanging out and seeing my kids and husband for such an extended amount of time. Tonight we got to leave the house without the kids. We did a little bit of shopping and then went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and drinks. It was fantastic. We're both completely stuffed and barely able to make it off the couch, but that is quite alright. We plan to lounge in our pajamas and watch a few of our shows before heading back to reality.

I know I said that I would never have a Myspace page, but as of today I do. I set one up for me and my husband. I'm totally addicted to changing the theme and adding things and finding friends and so forth. I've been sucked into the world of Myspace. It's all down hill from here. I have a very old picture of me and my husband on our profile because I can't find one on my computer that I like. Until I can have someone take a decent one it will have to do. just the weekend

Well, folks.. my vacation is almost over. I only have the weekend left. It's been so nice being at home with my family.. making lunch for me and my husband, cooking dinner for the family, playing video games and watching movies, staying up late and sleeping in. I already can't wait for the next week I take off. The good thing is that it didn't fly right by. Sure, come Monday morning I will feel as though it did, but in reality it has been a nice, long, relaxing week and I'm thankful for it.

Well, my 14 month old daughter just took over the television. We've been DVR'ing Sesame Street lately because she is so in love with Elmo and the rest of the crew. No matter what kind of mood she's in... as soon as she hears the theme song to Sesame Street she sits down in front of the television with Elmo and becomes glued to the set. Right now she's out there dancing in front of the TV. I guess I'll be waiting a while before I can go back to my video game.

I have been playing The Sims 2: Castaway on our PS3 all day long. I am completely addicted to it. I don't know what it is about the Sims, but once I start playing I just can't stop. I imagine I'll be playing all night long as well.

Today is Elvis Aron Presley's birthday. He would have been 73 years old. Even though he is no longer with us, he will always be the King of Rock-n-Roll and continues to be missed by many -- especially me. Happy birthday, Elvis!

P.S. I Love You

Today has been a great 2nd day of my vacation. My mom told us to bring the kids over and sent us to an early afternoon movie. We saw P.S. I Love You with Gerard Butler and Hilary Swank -- my mom's suggestion and her treat. It turned out to be a very good movie. I cried through half and laughed through the other half. It's definitely something I would have normally rented - because I hate getting that emotional in the theater, but it was lovely getting out of the house with my husband alone. The movie had a fabulous soundtrack and the final track was one of our all time favorites by Flogging Molly.

Today is my first day of vacation. So far I've slept in until ten thirty, watched Happy Feet with my kids and made pancakes and cheesy scrambled eggs for all of us to enjoy. Now my daughter - who is 14 months old today, I might add - is napping, my son is playing a video game downstairs in the "game room" and my husband is playing Final Fantasy X on the PS3. I think it's about time I got back into playing Final Fantasy III on the DS. I haven't played in days and I've started to lose interest, but I'm sure as soon as I pick it back up I will be hooked again.

I'm counting down... three minutes until I'm out of work for nine days! Today didn't go by as slowly as I anticipated. I'm such a neat freak too. I'm cleaning my desk before I leave - even though my desk is always extremely tidy. Hey, it gives me something to do to pass the time. I won't have to worry about finding a way to pass the time in just two short minutes!
