No sign of relief
2008-06-11 00:00:00 I just read that gas prices are expected to hit $5.00 a gallon in my area over the next month or two. WTF? I drive forty minutes each way to work and it?s killing me at $4.09 a gallon already. The cost of gas is effecting everything. I see it when I go to the grocery store big time. I can take the heat and the boys
2008-06-11 00:00:00 In light of my last post and freaking out I decided to stop in a local pizza place that had been advertising for part time help on their flyer?s to see if they would hire me for a couple evenings a week. The lady pretty much laughed at me. Said she mainly hires mouthy teenage boys that I would have to deal with and pointed out it gets easily over a hundred degrees in there in the summer time. I told her I could handle the heat and the boys with out a problem but when I said I have mostly just office experience, I could see the look on her face. It was like yeah, right! She said she would keep me in mind but I doubt I?ll hear from her. I am pretty bummed because it?s literally a couple blocks from my house. More About: Heat , Boys , The Boys

Just what we needed
2008-05-31 00:00:00 We were home from up north around 10:30pm last night. By the time we unpacked and settled in it was after 11:30pm and were in bed about an hour later. I was doing really good all morning but now I am sitting here at my desk ready to fall sleep. As tired as I am it was all so worth it. We had a great time. We spent a lot of the weekend with my parents and friends, which for us is always a good time. We enjoyed good company, good food, sitting my the camp fire and lots and lots of laughing. It was just what we needed!
A huge difference
2008-05-23 00:00:00 I have been working in this small two person office for almost three years now. It?s a machine shop ran by three men over sixty years old so you can imagine how undecorated it is. Every thing is brown and old. The walls are brown, my desk is old, even the chairs where customers come in and wait are really out dated. Since I have been here I have been trying to talk the office manager and owner in to shopping for some Modern Furniture . I am telling you, Commercial Furniture has really come along way. I would love to walk in the door every morning and see any other color than brown. It?s just such a downer. Just by getting rid of the old and adding some nice colorful Modern Commercial Furniture would make a HUGE difference in any office and can even change an employee?s attitude through out the day. Thinking of Fathers Day already
2008-05-20 00:00:00 Each and every year I go through a lot of stress trying to decide what to get my dad, my step dad and my husband for Fathers Day. I am still clueless on what to get my dad and step dad this year but with my husband starting his own company recently I am thinking this is a good opening for some gift ideas. At work today we were placing an order for new self inking stamps when I saw online how easy it is to order business cards and such. I am thinking they would be a great gift. I know when a small business is just getting going you can not have too many business cards to hand out or leave around town. Another great idea I am thinking of is a car magnet for his truck. I see them all over the neighborhood so I know they are the thing to have when you own your own business. I think he is going to be thrilled with these as gifts. I know they sure are easy on my end.
