This is our town's version of a yellow cab. The tricycle (traysi) is the major means of public transportation here. It is a motorcycle with a sidecar and has a canvas roof stretched over metal bars frame, welded to the sidecar. I usually find Giles Andreae?s work equally clever and entertaining except for this one, which is rather ridiculous.This is an illustration of an archaic and narrow thought. I wouldn?t know what?s on his mind when he made this. Wasn?t he aware that Aristotle and Ptolemy have long provided physical arguments supporting the idea of spherical earth rather than flat and straight? I am tempted to say more, but then, why would I bother to counter his thoughts? Sure, straightness may suggest lot of different things. And maybe, I am just overreacting and tired of the plaguing homophobia in our society.Btw, pardon me Mr. Andreae for my hair is not even straight.

Exciting historical information you need to know about shipping manure:In the 16th and 17th centuries, everything had to be transported by ship.I t was also before commercial fertilizer's invention, so large shipments of manure were common. It was shipped dry, because in dry form it weighed a lot less than when wet, but once water (at sea) hit it, it not only became heavier, but the process of fermentation began again, of which a by-product is methane gas. The mood is festive. The whole neighborhood is still up at midnight which is atypical in this small town. All houses are well lit. Folks are animatedly chatting and children playing.
