Traveling Abroad

Maybe you are like me and trying to find a way to travel and vacation a bit before the summer is completely over.  Make sure you plan well, and really go somewhere you want to.  Keep your money safe however is best for you and be sure that if you are traveling out of the country or even close to have international credit cards.  You know you don't want to be stuck somewhere and whip out a card that the person frowns and gives a shake of the head.  lol

Still Losing Weight

I guess once you start losing weight, your metabolism just increases if you stay at it and you keep losing.  That's what the experts say.  So now I just want to maintain mine.  You can always start off with some of the top diet pills to get you started, but I would suggest using them with diet and exercise.  Oops, not the diet word or exercise word.  What I mean is just eating better like keeping fruit around and eating breakfast and finding ways to walk 5 or 10 minutes a day.  You'd be surprised at how hard it is to stop these good habits.

In The New House

In the new house which is almost brand new.  This place is only a year old and yet there are still little things that need to be done.  I'm not a proficient user of tools, but you have to love all the air tools that are on the market now.  They can help trim, drill, and do all those things that tire out my hands when trying to use the basic screwdriver and such.  Or even hammer on some things.

Acne Cures

We've tried everything for my son's acne.  There are so many acne cures out there and some have actually worked for a little while.  My son's acne was so extreme and he actually told me that the ones that hurt were what bothered him most, not just the look of it.  With so many things out there to cure acne, I don't understand why parents would not at least try something to help their kids.  The last resort is a dermatologist which we have gone to in order to try to clear his completely.

Need A Vacation After Moving

Besides the euphoria of moving into a larger nicer home, what's so great about the move itself?  Boxes and boxes and furniture you didn't know you even had.  I thought I had so little and then bang.... try to move it all.  I think I'm still sore and I've still got so much to do.  I need a vacation.  Somewhere that's still nice and sunny even with all the storms out in the ocean.  Maybe some Orlando golf and beautiful beaches.  Now that's the ticket.  But with the day job, school's back in, and just trying to keep up, I don't know how we'll manage a break this late in summer.

All These Great Accessories

With all these great accessories like the USB ports, speaker wires, and a Cat5e patch cable, I can't find a way to keep them all organized!  I know where they are, but all the stuff like so many tubes coming from the computer as if it's on life support!  Jeez.  And then you have to filter through them to find the one you want and it's usually the last one you check!!

One of the best ways to make money is to save it.  If you find something that can decrease your spending each month, then that is just as good as money earned.  It's still more for you, right?  Be sure when thinking about your auto insurance compare the prices you are spending with what you may be able to get from a different company.  Do consider the ratings of a company also in your decision, but take that time to shop around.  You might be surprised.

New Cookware For the New House

It's almost laughable.  When you move into a bigger home it seems that nothing fits.  Even your cookware.  My stuff looks and feels so old!  I need some new stuff most definitely.  Maybe I should go ahead and have that house warming party my friends keep asking for.  I need to make sure that I put a paella pan, among others that I need on the list of gifts that I need or would like.  Ms. Sue claims to be a fantastic organizer and able to get the best gifts out of people.  At least the site I found has some pretty great deals so that I don't feel like anyone went too far out of their way on the gifts.  Check out Myson Products, where they even have closeout deals or I take cash, ya know?  HaHa!

Do I Actually Look Like Someone On Diet Pills?

Take a scroll down and see the article below.  I got to thinking, do I actually look like I'm taking diet pills to lose weight?  Now, I did at first two years ago, just for a couple of months to get the loss started, but that's all.  I think I like my new eating habits a lot better, though.  It keeps the icky feeling of over eating and heartburn and gas away, too.  Everyone have a great night!

I Must Need a New TV And Stand

We got moved into the new house that is about 4 times bigger!  Yea!! But now all my furniture looks sooo small!  My tv is way too little for this huge living room and I think I may need to look at new tv stands instead of settling for my lovely old bookcase that I just can't seem to part with.  It's this really old glass doored bookcase that I keep all my favorite books and pics in and just kinda set the tv on top.  Oh well, maybe I'll make enough this month with my blogs to get another tv.

I May Be Gaining Some Weight Back

Take a look at me two years ago.  No, I was not pregnant.  Shame on you!!And me in February.I lost 15 pounds the first year and bought new clothes.  Then lost another 15 pounds, in a year, mind you, and then when I bought new clothes again this summer, everyone is telling me I'm losing too much weight!  They think I'm taking a diet pill or something.  Not that just eating better might be the reason. So now I have pigged out all week thinking I need to put a couple of pounds back on.  And I feel like crap.  I keep getting heartburn and feeling all bloaty.  I think I'll go back to eating my fruits and veggies and leaving the greasy stuff to the nay sayers.  LOL.

Pretty Faucets

A little off topic here, but you know I just moved, even though we just redid some of the house because of the flood upstairs.  I found a great place that is so much bigger for me and my son!  Of course, now I seem to have accumulated more children all claiming rooms!  Lol.  Everything here is so nice and new, but I would like to see more of the Danze faucets like I wanted in the old place.  They are so nice and just look so good.  But overall, I am very happy with the new place.

In an earlier entry I was talking about weight loss and maybe using weight loss pills as a start.  Number one you should be sure to check with your doctor about what is right for you first.  And know that anything with Phentermine is not good for you.  There are sites that have an alternative like Fentraphen , just do your own research and do what is the best for you.

I've been toying with the idea that maybe we could use promotional products to advertise our sites, not just using online tools.  This is my new project for the month of August and September.  Make and order freebie stuff that advertises your blog or website and just see if it increases your traffic.  People are more apt to visit a site that they see advertised locally somehow.

Should You Use Weight Loss Pills?

Ok, I've lost over 30 pounds in the last 2 years and everyone wants to know how I did it.  I did start out with weight loss pills, but then I mostly changed my routine of eating and started walking a bit.  The more active I was, the more I found to do physically.  I don't think you should depend totally on pills, but they can give you kind of a start and a boost, if you will, that will encourage you to do more.  Like keeping fruits and vegetables around, taking the stairs, parking further out.  That sort of thing.  It does not come off fast, but you really don't want it to.  Things start to sag if you lose too much at one time.

My Son, Golf?

Ok, my son is a skateboarder.  That's his thing.  And that's ok with me, he works hard at it, and even makes a little money selling boards.  His dad just suggested he get some golf shoes and sign up for golf at school next year.  I'm still in shock and am wondering if this man has ever met his son.  You know, baseball maybe.  Golf ?  Come on!  My son looked at me horrified at his dad's suggestion, like "Are you gonna make me?"Course not, jeez.  Everybody wants their son to be a Tiger.  Not me, I just want him to be himself.But see, Dad is the one that loves golfing and that's completely ok for him.

Are Your Kids Downloading Too Much?

Between me and my son, we are always downloading pictures, games, programs, etc on the computer.  And this is the computer that use for work, which also requires some downloaded programs.  I'm not always aware of what my son is downloading and wonder sometimes if I bought a computer with enough memory, lol.  It's hard to imagine that these little machines can carry so much!And then my niece comes over and she loves, loves to take and upload pictures.  I try to keep up with what they are doing and sometimes just delete things myself.  However, I am starting to get the picture bug myself, maybe as a result of losing 30 pounds, but anyway, I want to make sure my little computer is going to hold it all.

I know I've been remiss at posting the last couple of weeks and I am so sorry.  The move to the new house was supposed to be the weekend before last, but was changed to this past weekend, and we had a lot of changes at work with the day job and everything is kinda mixed up, you know?  My routine is all off and I just got my cable straightened out in the new house and can now get on the internet, so I am a little backlogged.  Hang in there with me while I get back on track and find some more great opportunities.  Have fun!

I do love books.  Buy.com has a great selection that I check out for the newer stuff.  Nora Roberts is one of my all time favorites.  I kind of grew up with her reading her books back in the 80's and now she has the new trilogy of The Hollow which I am on the second book.  The third has yet to come out.  I just could not wait this time.   But usually I buy the whole trilogy at once because not only is it cheaper, but I got these three great books that I can read back to back and stay in the story.

How Much RAM Do The Kids Take Up

I'm trying to figure out how much ram (Random Access Memory) on our computers the kids actually take up.  I mean, my son downloads games of all kinds, my space, pictures, videos, etc.  Especially his skateboarding videos of himself and his friends.   And then there is my camera bug niece who takes pictures of herself and everyone else.   She even takes pictures of signs when she goes on vacation!  All gets downloaded/uploaded to our computer, deleted, and then more added.  My son claims that once you delete them and then clean out the recycle bin that it no longer affects your computers random access memory (ram).  Does anyone know how to check this?  There is a site called 4 All Memory that will let you add ram to any computer.  Maybe this would be an idea for me as I have the kids working and playing on the computer as well as me.

Who the heck came up with that line anyway?  Surely it was not a woman.  Just some phase to lead us desperate ladies to believe that a pad is going to make us happy during this one time each month that we do not enjoy being a woman.  Maybe some progesterone or a stiff drink would do the trick.  LOL  I just seem to get into a tangent where my temper gets short and my feelings are exposed and I can't for the life of me figure what is wrong with me.  Then boom, here it comes.  This has been going on for some years now.  You'd think I'd know.
