Our mascot - Ernie - still needs a home!
2007-10-02 12:18:00 Ernie, the cute pup featured in our logo is still looking for a home!Is he cute, or what? Ernie, a young Straffordshire Bull Terrier, is a sweet boy who loves to cuddle! His foster mom says he has quite the delightful personality. He's happy, but not hyper, and gets along great with non-alpha dogs and cats too!He would do best in a home without small children. Like many big dogs, he may bump a little kiddo over without meaning to. He will need a fenced yard.Ernie loves to go for walks, and walks well on a leash - even on the busy Monon Trail! He's crate trained and housebroken. He sleeps in his crate at night, but can be left alone without being crated during the day. Ernie likes the two cats that live with him. When the cats hiss, he gets scared and jumps in his foster mom’s lap!Ernie is being cared for by a foster family associated with the Southside Animal Shelter (that's my shelter) in Indianapolis, Indiana.Click here for more information about Ernie! He was pulled from the shelter and brought to OnPoint Rescue at a chance for him to find a home with a family that understands Pointers are more than just "hunting dogs".Mr. Gilligan is beginning to settle in to his new foster home. He is one of the sweetest, most gentle Pointers. Gilligan came to his foster home very scared and uncertain of every noise and movement.
