This is Doll y , a two year old lab mix. Dolly's gentle manner endears her to everyone she meets. She was rescued as a stray with Chuy, her soulmate and caregiving responsibility. Dolly gives new meaning to the word "mellow." Dolly is full of unconditional love and caring!Dolly is currently being cared for by the Animals Benefit Club of Arizona, Inc. She will be spayed before she comes to your house, so that she won't have any more puppies.We found Buttercup currently being cared for by Aiding and A-Petting Animal Rescue in Atlanta, Georgia. Meet Jack!

Jack is a Bluetick Coonhound mix, adult of medium size. He is a very loving dog with a really sweet personality. Friendly toward other dogs and very affectionate towards people. He would be a wonderful family dog.We found Jack currently being cared for by Save Our Strays (S.O.S.) Animal Shelter. They were founded in 1981 to rescue, shelter and adopt neglected, abused and homeless dogs and cats in the city and local counties. Meet Cody!

Cody is a very unique looking tan Chinese Crested Hairless/Terrier mix with a scruffy outer coat and a smooth undercoat. He is 5 years old, weighs 7 pounds, and is neutered and crate trained.Cody was too timid at the shelter to be temperament tested. so he could be adopted only to a rescue group - as are most frightened dogs. At first when Cody was picked up to take him from the shelter, he was terrified, extremely nervous, and dug his nails in. Once he realized he was not in jeopardy, he relaxed.He is making tremendous progress at the adoption site. Once he knows you, he jumps up on your legs with happiness and excitement. He is very protective of his person and can get jealous of other animals or people. Thus, he would do best as the only pet in a single person's home. He gets upset with bicycles and skateboards. Meet Frodo!

Just as his namesake, Frodo is a stead-fast friend. He is even tempered and playful. He would excel either as an only dog or as part of a pup-pair, as long as there is lots of pup-wrestling!He is a 6 year old black tri colored Aussie with a natural bobtail. Beautiful and funny, he uses his tail as a flag to announce all manner of emotion. Frodo might be suitable in home with dog-savvy cats, but might be a little rough and tumble for very young children.Frodo has one fear, and that is that no one will want him. Why? Because he's allergic to many things in the environment and his care involves more work than most people want to put into him. We have his allergies under control, but he will likely need additional vet care when they flare up. Meet Luther!

Luther was surrendered to a shelter when he was only 3 months old because he wasn't quite "perfect." It's not known whether his "defect" came as a result of an injury or he was born this way. Regardless of the origin, his handicap doesn't seem to slow him down one bit nor stop him from living life to the fullest.Luther's back legs don't seem to get their signals quite right. They act as if they were "joined" together. Luther can walk, run, go up and down steps, jump up, do just about anything any "normal" dog can do. But when he does these things, he looks more like a "bunny" than a dog because both legs act as a "team." He has had a full neurological evaluation and testing. His condition is stable at this point and has not changed in over 2 months. If anything, he continues to get stronger every day.Luther is otherwise a perfectly healthy and normal puppy. He is very sweet and affectionate, loves to cuddle up and be with his human friends. We believe he will do best in a home ...

Lacey is a gorgeous 5 year old sheltie girl with a heart of gold. She adores people and stays right by the side of those she loves. She is one of the office dogs at Hearts United for Animals and has taken on the job of official greeter when guests come to visit.She is so congenial and happy. She does a wonderful job of making everyone feel welcome and at home with her beautiful smile and friendly eyes.Lacey is currently being cared for through Hearts United for Animals, a national no-kill shelter, sanctuary and animal welfare organization. Hearts United for Animals does long distance adoptions if there are safe flights and we have volunteers in the area to do a home visit. Bella is a beautiful 1-year-old basset hound with lots of energy and lots of love. She is as sweet as she is lovely. Bella is sure to melt your heart.Bella loves to wrestle with people on the floor and run and play with other dogs. She has lots of energy and would do great in a home with kids or other dogs. Her playful nature makes her a joy to have around.Bella may have a lot of energy, but she calms down quite easily. This girl loves to curl up in your lap and get lots of ear and belly rubs. Charlie is a charming young brittany boy who was turned into the humane society for basically "being a puppy". Yes, he does have a high activity level, and may get into a little bit of mischief (given the chance), but none of his behaviors are outside the realm of a normal brittany puppy. In fact, his foster home thinks he might have the edge on most puppies with his good looks and silly personality.He is a "conversationalist" - he likes to talk to you to get your attention. He is not a barker, but makes fun little vocalizations that add to his charm.Charlie loves to play with other dogs, and would really like a playmate. He is good with kids and other animals. He needs some socialization and work on obedience, but is very eager to please. Kodi is a beautiful Siberian Husky who needs to find a good home. He is 12 yrs old, 60 lbs, healthy, and current on all his shots. Kodi would make a wonderful companion, has a calm disposition, and loves his walks.He is house-trained and used to being able to go inside and outside as he chooses. He loves to play and if you tell him to find his ball he will look all day.He's house trained, knows how to sit and shake hands just to name a few. He needs a fenced yard, and no young children. Now, how could anyone resist such an adorable face? Mr. Murphy was picked up with his brother by a nice couple while they were on vacation. They had been hanging around the park for a couple of weeks. So they wouldn't get hit on the road, the couple took us to the local dog pound only to find out it was a barn with cages where we would be held for 72 hours for our owners to come claim us.They are currently in a foster home learning everything they need to know to be great companion dogs. He's a little shy, and should not go to a home with children.Mr. Murphy is listed with Buckeye Border Collie Rescue in Ohio. They are a non-profit organization that is run by volunteers. They are committed to the welfare of Border Collies in need in the Ohio area. The Border Collies are fostered in homes throughout the state of Ohio. Meet Freckles!

Freckles is a 2.5 year old pointer mix and 35 pounds of energy and love. She will require an active lifestyle, perhaps as an agility, frisbee, or running companion. Freckles is currently in obedience training and is responding with the routine.She is quite trainable, but needs time to settle down around new surroundings, good with other dogs, but will chase cats and other animals. Freckles would work best in a family (whatever size) with a fenced yard, where she could run and play frequently. She is very affectionate and rides well in the car. Milo, Duke IV and Silky are all Bichons, ages 5, 11 and 7 years old.Milo, the fantastic little guy on the left! Aren't they the best looking trio? They are a bit sad right now because their owner passed away, but they're also very optimistic that they will find wonderful new homes.Duke is Milo's father, and Silky is Milo's mother. They've been together a long time and would like to stay that way. However, they do understand that adopting 3 dogs is a lot to ask of one person or family. Sugar is a Cattle Dog mix of 2 years old. She is housebroken and would do well around older children (8+ years or older). She weighs about 50 pounds. Sugar has one request and that is that she be the "only" 4-legged companion in the home as she doesn't like to share the attention.She loves to snuggle on the couch with you and probably in your bed as well. Irving is so adorable! He is mostly white with some brown cow spots, an American Bulldog, Pit Bull Terrier Mix. He is just about 1 year old and is a super friendly and social little guy. He was taken from a city shelter where they had found him as a stray wondering the streets, all beat up and scarred.Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge took him in and nursed him back to health. He is heartworm positive but already underwent treatment to fix it. He also still has a lot of scars as reminder of what he has been through. After everything all he craves is attention. There are so many fun things you can do with your pups. And I know that many dogs out there would love to have a list of things they can do with their Mums and/or Dads. So, I put together this Fun Things To Do With Your Pup Link Love Project , for us to all have a great list of activities!Mum and I like to go canoing when we get a chance. We drive north about 45 minutes to a place that rents canoes, they transport us up the White River about 2 or so miles by school bus (and I do pretty well in that bus, by the way), then Mum puts on her life jacket herself and puts my Ruff Wear life jacket on me and we are off! I'm really good about staying in the canoe, so Mum can paddle us along. We stop along shore along the way for snacks and exploring and wading in the water. About two hours later we pull up to where our car is!
