2007-03-21 03:09:00
Spring is here again! Time for green grass, gorgeous, colorful flowers and trees to turn from brown to a beautiful green. It's also the time for bugs to begin their annual renewal. This is usually the time that we begin looking into medications or chemicals to prevent heartworm, fleas, worms, round worms, ticks, mites, and other pesky parasites that attack our cats and dogs. You have seen the advertisements; put a drop of this or that on your pet and it will keep fleas, ticks and mosquitoes from bothering your cat or dog for a 30 days. Spring and Chemicals in the Parks
2007-03-16 01:27:00
Spring is in the air and many of you will be taking your dogs out to the parks. We wanted to draw your attention to something serious--chemicals being sprayed on the grounds of every park, show ring, lawn, golf course and every other public and private grass grounds in this country. These chemicals cause your dog to lick its paws and try to get the toxicity off its paws. The fact is that this even makes it worse because the moisture from the mouth reactivates the chemical and now it is a vicious circle. Now your dog will be experiencing skin problems that the Vets label as "allergies" when the root cause is toxicity. What to do? First dip its paws in Terra Cleanse and a little bit of water. Second, you need to remove these chemicals from the liver and kidneys immediately. We have Hemotox (removes chemicals) and Metaltox (removes heavy metals which are the foundation of binding the chemicals together) for this procedure. You put the remedies either in the water once ...

A Dog with Allergies - My Journey
2007-01-16 02:34:00
About 10 years ago, I adopted my first precious furry baby, "Buttons" a Schnauzer mix breed from North Shore Animal League.Even as a puppy Buttons would itch and scratch terribly. I did the usual, brought oatmeal soap and conditioners and took her to Vet after Vet who gave her steroids, antihistamines, antibiotics, ointments and salves. She was particularly miserable in the Spring and Summer months with some relief in the Fall and Winter. But as her allergies worsened it seemed that she was suffering year-round.Even with all the medications she was taking, she was still suffering and at times was literally covered from head to toe in crusty spots. I have to admit when it got really bad and I thought I had no other choice, I considered putting her down; I felt she was just suffering too much. Watching her scratch, lick and bite herself constantly, she seemed like she was in agony and I felt absolutely helpless and guilty. Guilty because I felt I wasn't doing all I could do t...

2006-11-25 13:25:00
What Causes Ear Infections Ear infection can be caused by a bacterial problem in the beginning which turns into a fungus and continues to grow within the ear causing discomfort and pain.Antibiotics Will Fix it, Right? Many Vets prescribe various antibiotic medications to get rid of ear infections in cats and dogs. The problem is using a medication to treat the symptom just pushes the infection deeper and deeper into the body and the problem usually resurfaces after the antibiotic is used; reoccurring ear infections that are harder to deal with. Using an antibiotic medication is a band-aid solution, it does not get to the root of the problem which is your cat or dog has a compromised immune system.
