2006-08-06 19:48:05 Mentionned for the first time in 1415, the monastery is impressive by its dimensions and its Gothic and classic elements, combined with Oriental adornments. It is considered to be built by the Armenians refugies in Moldavia. For a great period of time, it was the Armenian bishop?s residence. In the XVIIth century the belfry was added, then the monastery was occupied by the king of Poland, Ioan Sobieski, who surrounded it by moats.
