Picture was taken in my studio for abstract arts - the dark and cold toilet. There was a time in the 70’s when men wearing ear piercings was considered extreme - I’m sure it’s considered extreme even today in some circles. Today I live in a society where tattoos aren’t only worn by ex inmates, sailors, etc. Same goes with earrings - man with pierced earlobes isn’t necessarily a member of the gay community, nor does he have to be a drug pusher. We’ve come a long way in terms of decorating ones body. Some people might call themselves modern primitives in terms of wearing tribal style tattoos, scars and piercings . Still, people do much more than get scarred or branded. They wear implants, modify the shape of their ears.. Some people amputate fingers, some have their tongue cut in half and some decorate their genitals. Wearing genital piercings isn’t really that new.
