White's Tree Frog
2009-09-08 19:22:00 White's Tree Frog The skin of a White's tree frog has a waxy cuticle that helps prevent water evaporation allowing the frog to survive in arid conditions. The frog's skin has many perforations of skin glands that also keep it moist. White's tree frogs are bright green in color or a mixture of green and bronze, often with scattered white spots on the sides. The White's tree frog is found in the provinces of Western Australia (northern portion), Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia and New South Wales. The frog is also found in southern New Guinea. More About: Tree Frog

Storm Over Teston
2009-09-04 19:33:00 Storm Over TestonWe tried to do a walk around Teston a few days ago, but the heavens opened so we headed back to the car and drove home. Obviously it was fine and sunny after that, but hey ho, we made the right call at the time. Hindsight is both wonderful and annoying. More About: Storm

James Morrison
2009-08-31 19:33:00 James MorrisonThe Missus went to see James Morrison at the Royal Albert Hall back in March, and, as expected, she did nothing with the photos. I think photos should be on display, so here are two from the gig. Big respect for smuggling in a Nikon D50 with 18-200mm VR lens attached - that's no mean feat in itself. The pics aint too shabby either. More About: James

Wedding Cake
2009-08-26 19:57:00 Wedding Cake A wedding cake is the traditional cake served to the guests at a wedding reception (or in parts of England, at a wedding breakfast) after a wedding. In modern Western culture, it is usually a large cake, multi-layered or tiered, and heavily decorated with icing, occasionally over a layer of marzipan or fondant, topped with a small statue representing the couple. Achieving a dense, strong cake that can support the decorations while remaining edible can be considered the epitome of the baker's art and skill. But you all knew that, right?
