The World's Worst Camera Phone

The World's Worst Camera Phone
My mobile is one of those Motorola flip open ones that everyone has. The camera on it is really terrible but I kind of like it. You have to take a photo of something really big and spectacular to even be able to work out what it is. This is a blog of

Old Street, Great Eastern Street and Columbia Road, London
2007-09-28 13:38:00
I thought I would try and bolster the popularity of this blog by posting a picture of a billboard of Louise Redknapp in Triumph bra and knickers. I chopped the top off again. I'm sure it was visible in the viewfinder so perhaps my camera phone chops off the top off things that are visible in the viewfinder. Or perhaps a bad workman always blames his tools.A building on Great Eastern Street .a tower block on Columbia Roadsome balconies on Columbia Road. I must try and take more photos of these houses - they are pretty amazing and garish.a tower block on Old StreetTwo adjacent derelict buildings on Great Eastern St. Even the fly posting is derelict - some of them are for Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. I'm always surprised that there are still derelict buildings in big cities but particularly so in this part of London .an office on Great Eastern Streeta disused tube train placed on top of some "vandalism" just off Great Eastern Street.
Berlin

there are lots of magnificently utilitarian tower blocks in East Berlin that are so ugly they almost manage to be beautiful in the bright sunshine. It's a lot like Elephant & Castle in that respect.this was in a shop windowthese two giant seahorses were in the corner of a bar

Nine Elms

a very unspectacular view of the spectacular building that is Battersea Power Stationa view from Nine Elms looking east down the Thames with a crazy Mad Max-style boat in the foreground and the MI6 building in the background. This bit of the river is odd with nothing going on except some industrial works.

there's something fascinating about the way old industrial and other buildings are being converted into housing and restaurants in London.

New Zealand House, London
2007-08-29 21:26:00
There is a bar on top of New Zealand House with great panoramic views of London . This, however, is the view of New Zealand House from the no. 12 bus.The building always looks very grey and utilitarian. I think all the windows have grey curtains behind them which seem never to be drawn.

two views of Trellick Tower, London, today

Lots of tower blocks in London are like this in that on one side they look completely deserted, and on the other side, there are balconies so plenty of signs of life.

views from Somerset House, London
2007-08-24 04:27:00
I was attending a pop concert at Some rset House , but my camera phone is celebrity-averse. On the rare occasions I try and take a picture of a celebrity, the camera bathes them in white light or darkness. It copes OK with cranes and buildings though.

A building on the South side of Westminster Bridge mid way through demoliti
2007-08-23 14:39:00
It was derelict for years but they're now building an apart-hotel on the site. The old building looked like a multi-storey car park but ironically it used to be the Greater London Council's planning department, apparently. The old building was magnificently ugly. The new building looks like it will be a bland glass thing. I preferred it midway through demolition.
