Finally back to KL!
2008-02-15 20:34:00 Finally I am back from KB (Kota Bharu), didn't really had much of a CNY celebration this year other than the angpao(s).. Stayed in grandmother's house for four days doing nothing but sitting in a room stealing free wireless internet from "Mr Ong" who generously shared his internet connection to all his neighbours... :P Bet he was wondering why his internet speed was so slow these days.. Blame it to the Lousy Streamyx!! :PSo what did i do during CNY? Besides 2x reunion dinner with two different 'parties' of the family and getting angpao from relatives the following day.. basically i stayed in a room facing my computer or read my books... Cousins all have their own friends and the younger ones are more fond of playing playstation.. Adults are stubborn Amway distributors who never listen, television was controlled by adults.. so what else could i do than staying in a room and 'zhi bi'?!Anyway, on 12 Feb 08 (sunday).. after a long bus journey, i am back to the place that i familia... How to deal with Incompliance?
2008-02-09 11:28:00 A BNF can be considered as one of the bible(s) for pharmacists..Only pharmacists, doctors and nurses or maybe dentists could understand this.. So how do we deal with incompliance? I actually have a case with my relative which have a very serious compliance problem to her medicine taking because what she eat is actually being controlled by somebody else. Me as a pharmacist yet couldn't really do much although I am the one that witnessed what happened here..The patient has got type II diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, hypertension and diagnosed postmenopausal osteoporosis.. She was prescribed normal type II diabetes treatment with Gliclazide (Diamicron) and Rosiglitazone (Avandia), Atorvastatin (Lipitor) for hyperlipidaemia,Amlodipine (Norvasc) for hypertension,Alendronic acid (Fosamax), Calcitriol (Vitamin D) and Calcium lactate for osteoporosis..So what happened was the self-proclaimed "nutritionist" and Amway distributor said that all medicine given by doctors are harmful to her body.. KL Towerthon 2008
2008-02-05 11:25:00 3 Feb 2008 Participated in Towerthon 2008 held in KL tower.. Previously planned to run as NGO team.. but due to the expensive participation fees.. so we ran individually.. those running include KarLye, CK aka ChenKang, Adriano Yeo aka "leng lui" and also another three guys (ChinGian, ZhiYongCheong and JiaLoon) who ran blindfolded as their fundraising effort..a mirror image of KL tower..before reaching the tower, there is a 1km uphill road up bkt nanas..Upon reaching the tower, we were welcomed by 2058 stair steps till the top of the tower..was concerned about the amount of steps.. but yet we managed to reach the top in less than 30 minutes.. blindfolded guys about 45minutes.. not as hard as it looks.. but the champion reached the top in a mere 14 minutes.. that's so fast!After that we went on to manage the Raleigh KL booth.. purpose - to promote Raleigh KL and expedition..Lots of other booth around, with free membership to Rakan Muda, free games and sportswear selling booths..the bo...

2008-02-02 18:04:00 Cycling in Tmn Pertanian was another one of Raleigh KL type monthly meeting.. we had rent ourselves a bicycle then the cycle around until we reach the meeting place, then we cycle back out.. Was late 45mins from the actual meeting time at KL Sentral 8am, because of "The inconvenient truth"!! hahaIt was quite a good response, a whole lot of new guys turn out for the monthly meeting..LuYi and JiaLoon sharing on their fundraising experiences for their expedition this coming wednesday..Alvin cerita pasal Delta punya PIWP..Pada hari sebelum itu, kena "con" untuk pergi LembahTengah.. jadi pergi makan di The Prince.. baru dapat tahu si Raymond Lam datang malam tu.. jadi kami (Christal, KarLye and saya) pergi tengok-tengok kaipo juga..Tak pernah dengar satu lagu dia pun.. tapi dia tidak juga terlampau terkenal.. jadi tidak terlampau banyak orang..Gambar si Raymond Lam yang paling dekat hari itu.. Raleigh KL Road show MBS
2008-01-31 20:03:00 Woke up 6am to get the bus to Petaling Street.... Reached there at about 7.30am .. you can see Petaling Street was still so quite without anyone walking around.. meet out with Vincent who arrived there 6.30am to have some porridge breakfast..Later on we went to MBS (Methodist Boys School) nearby to do a 1 hour introduction for the boys there..Here's a photo of Mr President having a speech..The last part was my speech on my experiences during expedition, prepared a long script so that i can just read through it without thinking.. in the end, due to short of time.. I had to summarize it on the spot.. was kinda "kelam kabut" at first then in the end I just end up talking without refering to the script.. haha :PFelt kinda pity of those guys studying in this school.. 100% guys.. wouldn't it be so boring?!! 2008-01-27 17:26:00 went on to Midvalley for a gathering with Acrix and Jasmine.. had some vietnamese lunch and had a nice chat.. Later on, Jasmine go on shopping leaving me and Acrix nothing to do.. so we decided to watch a movie..Wanted to watch Cloverfield, but yet the seatings were just not suitable.. so we decided on a musical story of vengeance called "Sweeney Todd: The Demon of the Fleet Street ".. First thing i would like to say.. too much censor.. was a bit tired before watching this movie, so the starting part seems to be boring to me and i slept for few seconds once in a while.. "P.. Anyway, its still okay to watch, prepare for lots of blood..Anyone wants a hair cut or shave?!! More About: Movie

To be honest, I was really surprised to see the orphanage is that big with complete facilities.. Pretty much the most luxurious orphanage i have been to so far.. They must be getting lots of donations from the community.. covering the size of three bungalows, it's complete with common hall area, dining area and study area, offices, and accommodation enough for 72 orphans..Currently taking care of 60 orphans, although i said "luxurious" above, its just a comparison to the other orphanage.. however if you compare to the luxurious u have at home.. that's way far better than they all..
