Danum Valley Part II
2008-01-05 22:31:00 Went to a gay date in MidValley with my gay partner Acrix and KelvinLoh aka Kv.. Pretty much lepaking in the Mall doing nothing other than fooling around..Had our lunch at McD with Kv's so called "PROPELITY" burger.. Later met up with Kv's friend Shirley at the Finnegan's Irish Bar, had a jug of Heineken and 15 years Glenfidich on the rock "belanja" by Kv.. :P Had dinner at a restaurant opposite Finnegan's.. then we went to Coffee Bean to chill out and had a wee chat until 9.30pm..As usual, i traveled by bus/public transport.. due to the slow bus service and the overwhelming number of passengers.. I only managed to reach home by 12.30am, provided that i left MidValley and walk to the bus station at about 9.30pm.. sigh~Enough about today's adventure.. here's part 2 of Danum Valley..Ever wonder how many insects and animals you could see in a primary lowland forest like Danum?! fyi, primary forest is a virgin old grown forest where there has been no logging activities in the past... Induction week & Opening ceremony
More articles from this author:2007-12-28 20:19:00 1-8 Oct 2007We reached Kota Kinabalu on 1st October. We got into a big problem before boarding the flight in LCCT due to overweight luggages, in the mist of repacking we found out that we had already missed the luggage check-in time which is 45min before the flight. So, the solution was Vincent to be left over in the airport to check-in our all our luggages on the next flight while 3 of us board the flight. Met SiauYong, Samuel and YuJoe at the airport.Stayed in Step-in Lodge in KK, good hostel but with a slightly expensive cost. We were fetched by Rory himself by a Raleigh Land rover to the Field Base.. Here's a photo at the field base with a typical "Before" expedition "Look".. Malaysia Boleh!!L-R: me, YenJun, VincentTanes & EelaineAfter that, we got sent to "Jungle Camp" at River Kiulu where we met the Sabahans, Aussies, Britons, American and Dutch.. There were total approx. 80+ participants & 90+ person plus staffs. Later, we were separated into our Alpha groups, Vincen...
