2007-06-22 11:46:00 It’s wierd to be opening up iBlog after not having written at all in the last few months. This is not some life changing post where I spill the news of times past… but rather a start to get writing again - I’ve been missing it but have also been trying to work out which is my ass & which is my elbow in real life?  There’s a new man, who’s up to dating me, I’m just taking it as it comes for now. My mom has officially moved down to the South Coast to be wif her tomato farmer (he grows yellow tomatoes…. that taste just like the red ones but they’re yellow, seems silly to grow them yellow?). The Sister is a loose canon @ the moment after finishing exams, I don’t think she’s been sober enough to spell her name in the last few days. 2007-04-12 09:25:00 I’ve noticed lately that I’m keeping a rather random lifestyle. I leave work and since my mom is off gallavanting around the South Coast with her new addition Tomato farmer, I never really know where I will end up for the evening. There is no food at home so I normally try and eat where ever I end up at…. last night was by far once of the more different nights. After leaving work around 5:15 I went past Styvies digs to say “Hurrow” to Matches…then headed over to Doug’s house to collect apair of jeans I had left with Andy his brother while I was in Cape Town. So the plan was to fetch the jeans, have one drink and take my flu-infested ass home to get into bed…. that would have been the boring way out & boring is just not a word I would use to describe myself at the best of times. 2007-04-11 09:24:00 I am back in Jo’burg…. got back a week ago but due to the post travel blues I couldn’t bring myself to write a post. The Caribbean was INCREDIBLE! So I’m just doing a short one today. I’m sick and splattering all over the office, I’d love to go home right now but since I’ve claimed 5 weeks of leave and I’ve only been here since November I figure it’s not a likely option! Went to the St Johns rugby fest on the weekend - of course not for the rugby but rather for the beer… one late one at the Dodgey Roger and a few chilled ones recouperating. My sister was back for a little while as well but she was studying for her honours exams so never saw her much. In other news….my mom has been loveshacking it up with a tomato farmer down at the South Coast, this only means good things… she will be in a good fun loving mood for the duration of the new pomp, and not in her usual sour lonely I’m so lonely moo... 2007-03-22 23:11:00 So the internet here is a distant memory… sipping on a hell of a lot of rum, been in a whole lot of sun….and of course the fun!!! I am in my element, we have hit every beach bar there has been to hit, we’ve drunk as much of the local beer Carib as we can… done some snorkelling… everyone has had a good chunder off the side of the Cats - there is just too much to type in the time I have in front of this keyboard! If you saw any of the Scotland South Africa game you would have seen a bunch of Saffa’s in lime green shirts on TV…..that’s us and our Cats were filmed coming into the harbour… we’ve had some airtime on Supersport… I am in the Marriott hotel at the moment on St Kitts Island (we snuck in here and have been sitting on their delightful beach for the morning and next to the pool for the afternoon), we have got a lobster dinner in store for this evening… and Saturday of course the Australia South Af... I’m gonna do a post later when I’m not feeling as special. UPDATE: So after my morning capuccino, 1x cheese and tomato toastie, and a cheese burger the rum pang in my head has eventually stopped! I go by the name of Laaitie now since they announced me the youngest on the trip last night - which only means extra drinking and a fair amount of abuse throughout the trip. Most of the people were really cool, but if that was 14 of us I hate to think what it’s gonna be like with 52. I am over the moon in my little red shoes with excitement - he’s only back for tonight but it’s really really really super cool to see him. We sat outside and had a ciggie together - then after he left he came back - with flowers. More articles from this author:2007-03-06 08:36:02 Even with a departure time of 6:45pm, Jo’burg traffic refused to surrender & make our trip out of town for the weekend just that little bit easier… Styvie was driving my car - so I wasn’t too phased since we packed 2x 6 packs of Amstel in the car with us. I was however phased once we got further along the route & with a slight murmur to Styvie about the sudden pile up of cars in front of us… he braked and pulled out to the left of the car in front of us… stopping mere meters of the compounded cars right in front of us - SHEW! Hence, I put away more beers than expected on the journey there. No complaints from the passenger seat…just a bit of gurgelling…. Arrived at the River at a time I do not have a clue of….. had a quality alfredo pasta dinner, followed soon after by some of the unmistakable drinks that get drunk throughout our stays.
