Third World Network VS. Network Abroad
2007-02-04 00:22:00 Okay. So I have this love-hate relationship with my current cellular network. I think Globe, Smart and Sun are the 3 big cellular networks here in the Philippines (did I miss out someone else?) and right now, I'm with Globe... ever since I got my first ever gsm mobile when I was in 6th grade. Back then, if I remember it right, calls where like 15 pesos compared now which is just around 8 pesos. Good thing back then was that text messaging was free... bad thing about it was it was only for network to network sms.Anyway, now, I guess the rates are ok. Offpeak and Peak hour rates vary and my current network offers unlimited text messaging per day for a very minimal price.I'm happy about that... but sometimes, the service just sucks balls.Anyway, I have a few friends who now have migrated in the states and amongst the thing I envy about them (top of the list: they got to migrate) is that they use their cellphone just like a landline. Friday, whatever happened in the mornin and afternoon, I was either drugged from all the meds I took... now now, don't get ahead of yourselves. I've been under the weather lately... well, Me, Kc, Andrea and Lory have... I think there's some bug going around lately and it got to us. Anyway, I think I was drugged and slept the entire day. Oh wait, I went to the mall to meet up with Paul, Lory, Mark and Estoi and we had dinner. We then went to Cafe Teatro to celebrate the eve of Blenn's birthday with vodka and tequila.*shudder* I remember soooo much how vile the taste of vodka was during that time. Don't get me wrong. Vodka's my choice of drink, but having your taste buds all fucked up cause of fever or whatever makes me think otherwise... NOTHING TASTES GOOD! I want to maybe do a little shopping but my motor skills are all fucked up... duh! what do you expect after lying in bed for over 24-hours++.Mom: *knocks on door* have you had dinner already?Me: *mumbles* i'm sick (in a very faint voice)Mom: wake up and have your dinnerMe: I'M ON VACATION!I get so irritable when I'm not feeling well. We arrived at Bigfoot Mactan around 9-ish..the show started with around 7 or 8 guys all in gold-paint dancin' in a seductive manner on stage...it was like I was in a male strip club! Blenn and I were laughing our asses off cause it bordered being cheesy and cheap... anyway, it was fun though look at the guy's bulges outlining their undies and play a game "which one has the biggest dick".By the time they showed the models in their swimwear, the heat inside the studiod/warehouse became unbearable. The mojitos cockatils they were serving didn't help eliminate the heat. 2006-12-02 16:10:02 I had dessert and tea with Lory and Blenn at Cafe George after having dinner and doing some errands earlier.It was a serious moment for the three of us where we asses ourselves, eachother, our current stage in our lives, our dreams, our friends etc etc... You know what, I prefer gatherings like these... intimate. candid. honest.After an hour or so, we left and dropped by the Y101 station and visited dj Charlene. Lory and Blenn also had to inquire how they could redeem the trip-to-boracay prizes they won last week at Vudu. So I'm using up all my Vacation Leave Credits left... terminal leave, is that what they call it?What I'll do after? Sherry's Farewell Party and Halloween Weekend
2006-12-02 16:10:02 (huhuhu! I only had 3 hours of sleep today! ugh!)Thursday... Lory, Blenn, Rockell and I met up at the mall. I wasn't able to catch up with Sherry who shopped for strappy sandals she was gonna pair with her Lory Mer Villareal dress.Lory and I had a haircut at Fix... after that, Rockell left while the 3 of us went to Parklane Hotel to prepare and change for Sherry's farewell party that evening. Paul caught up with us in the hotel room and we all freshened up.... and fooled around...Sherry's dress is sooo beautiful... utterly fabulous! Duh! It's a Lory Mer creation for god's sake! (love ya lor!... and oh, the vest I'm wearing... made by Lory! LOVE IT!)Anyway, we had dinner. Catered by the hotel, and held at the pool area (4th floor) which by the way, had no water in it.
