2007-09-07 15:41:00 I've been spending all of my free time getting images ready to print. I have so much photography it's time I try to get my work in a gallery and get my name out there. I'm focusing on doing a series of the "tiny planets." After doing some research, I found out that the ones I created were done incorrectly. There's another method to creating them that makes them look way better then what I've been doing, the only problem is photoshop wont do it, so I have to learn a few other programs that will do the correct merges. Take a look at Gadl's flicker images. Notice how it looks like you're actually looking down on the planet and there is no vanishing point in the center like the ones I've been creating. This is a equirectangular panorama that I'm trying to figure out how to create, photoshop won't do it. The final image is called a stereographic projection converted from an equirectangular one. Vacation Summary
2007-08-27 16:33:00 This was by far the most enjoyable vacation. The weather was perfect. I took an obscene amount of pictures (the best ones will be on IdeaAttic.com). I visited Nassau, St. Thomas, & St. Maarten, all were great but St. Maarten gave me the best photos. Ok, so here's the best part, while on the cruse I attended an art auction. I bought (drum roll) a Salvador Dali and a Petter Max. The Dali is a signed lithograph from Destino which was the collaboration of Walt Disney and Dali in the early '40s. The Peter Max (think Andy Warhol) is an original which I bought with intentions of reselling for a profit. I also bought 5 other artiest but those two are the best of the bunch. I'll be receiving them within 4-6 weeks and will do a huge post on the Dali, Max and the other artiest once I get them. 2007-08-17 00:03:00 I'm off to the Caribbean guys. The last time I went I ended up deleting lots of the pics then later wish I hadn't so the goal on this vacation is photography (and alcohol). I'm bringing 3 still cameras plus the video cam so I hope to have lots of pictures, however hurricane Dean is close to where I'll be so there might just be a lot of drinking going on an not much else :(I'll be here on Sunday :) TheBobBlog More About: Back

New Portfolio
2007-08-10 15:24:00 I finally updated my protfolio website, IdeaAttic.com and it was long over due. The site was created with Apples new iWeb 2.0, part of iLife '08. I did a total site redesign which took me 6 hours to do. Please give me feedback if you have a chance. I tested the site out on 3 of my computers (all Macs) and they loaded fine. I need feedback especially from PC people to see if the site loads correctly or if there are any dead links. It was very much like "The Shining;" a writer in a very creepy Hotel. So unless your a big John Cusack fan, wait for the DVD.(I did like the part where the room is in total shambles and looks all creepy, I love photographing places like that.)TheBobBlog
Canceling my Sprint Contract
2007-07-27 05:02:00 So let me tell you about the drama I've been going through the last week with Sprint . Jer and I recently got iPhones so I had to cancel our family plan with Sprint. Now I realized all along that there was going to be a termination fee and I was willing to pay it with no problem. However, when we signed a new contract last year, we asked the sales guy how much it was going to be and he told us it didn't matter how many phones you had under the family plan, that there was one fee of $200 to cancel. We thought this was a good deal so we added his mother to our account for an extra $9 a month. Now we always had trouble with dropped calls and weird things with voice mail not arriving till days later, but it wasn't really that big of a deal to call and complain only because we don't use the phones that much. So we get the iPhones, and we were smart enough not to port our old numbers over to AT&T. I call Sprint and they tell me it's $200 per phone to cancel. Well I went off the deep e... Busy Summer
2007-07-23 02:52:00 Sorry for not posting a lot lately, summers usually do that too me.Here's what happened this past week:Finally got an iPhone ( which is amazing , I just have to get out of my family plan from sprint that is going to cost me $600).---------o0o---------Jer and I went to see Transformers lastnight, which is now tied with my all time favorite movies; 300, FightClub. The special effects were unlike anything I've ever seen. Most of Transformers was done in a program called "Shake" (an Apple program), which I have, I just have no clue how to use it, so that might have to be a winter project.---------o0o---------I also got my first pair of Crocs this week. They are so comfortable that I just had to order another pair online. They might look a little silly but I could care less, those suckers are like wearing nothing at all.---------o0o---------And today I got to meet Terry Ridgers and watch him paint at his studio. Little Duce Coupe
2007-07-06 23:43:00 Next week is the huge car show at the fair grounds. My father always brings down his Streetrod, however this year it's staying parked in the garage, which is a total shame because the car won't get driven at all this year. I look forward to this all year and now it's going to be a total let down. The street rod has a rumble seat which I get so sit in as we cruse around town. Here's what I added:Snap gives you a high quality link preview so you can easily decide if a site looks interesting enough to fully load. ~------o0o------~Plugoo enables you to chat directly from your Instant Messenger with any visitor of your blog. You use the plugoo on the side bar as your IM window. ~------o0o------~Twitter is kinda like a blog within a blog. Sometimes your not doing anything interesting enough to warrant an actual entry, but you might want to keep any stalkers up-to-date with what/who your currently doing/thinking/having sex with. ~------o0o------~MyBlogLog is a cool way to interact with others in the blogosphere. I played around with doing all the keyword meta tag stuff, but for my portfolio site, it's super hard to get traffic a flowin. The site has practically no text (and I want to keep it that way) so I'm having to rely on getting my work on other sites to drive my traffic.
