Most designers, if not all, treat color as a major tool to establish a look and create a pleasant appearance for the entire web site. You have heard this saying before: "The main color of the site should be sage". As a designer, you know sage can be "sage green", "paramount sage", "pastel sage", "colonial sage", "dull sage", and many more. As a computer-literate designer, you also know that 256x256x256 RGB color systems will give a choice of 16777216 colors and your "sage" may become 100% different from what your client asked for. Often coloring options, such as school colors or corporate logos have little tolerance for change. What does one do when the client asks about "Deep Claret 19-1840" or "Verdant Green 19-6026"? I 'discovered' stockphotography mid 2006 an enjoyed it ever since. I use both conventional Canon DSLR's (5D and 20D) and - mainly for studio work - a Fuji GX680 6x8cm midd range format camera with Imacon Digital Back. THis cemera is almost like a technical camera with tilt, swing and shift. I shoot serveral genres but I do like product sort of photography and to experiment with 'odd' effects and reflections. Another interesting photo effect, is the ability to take a normal 3 dimensional set of photos, combine them, and then with a couple of PS tricks, you end up with the result below. This type of image forces the eyes to go in a circular direction in order to see the whole image. At first, your eyes won't know what they are looking at, and then, with a little more concentration, it all makes sense, and "wow, how did they do that"? To reproduce the effect you will need a circular panorama to work with. It is important to include as much as possible, the height (vertical) aspect of the shots. If you have no wide-angle lens - you will probably need to take 2 sets of images to gain the height you need... Rectangular to polar filter in Photo shop
