Roadies 5.0 , and this time they go international !! The auditions were on today and the city which gets the best roadies out , the city which gave us BANI .. chandigarh was completely disappointing this time around in terms of attitude of the people and more importantly ...in terms of babes ..or the lack of it !!Three people got chosen from the city - Vibhor - he sure does look like he will add something to the show, guy has a john abraham hangover with the personality of a carcass. 2nd guy from the chosen lot - Varun , who seems umm well boring. I seldom miss a pretty face on the tube, Rohini has to be one of the prettiest ive seen oflate , those eyes shine like diamonds , she hardly has done anything worth mentioning on the tube, small roles here there. A contestant at the Gladrags Mega Model 2003 contest , rohini has been the 1st Runner Up Miss India World Wide 2002.She actually does look like she would do wonders on the ramp, not seen her in any major ramp shows though. Saharashri Subroto Roy can absolutely do anyhing , Chak De Yaaraa was an event where the Indian & Pakistani cricketers got together along with ShahRukh Khan. Quite a few Indian cricketers got on the stage and danced their way through , most prominent being sreesanth who seemed a pro. None of the pakistani cricketers got on the stage & naturally as most of them seemed to have a stick stuck on their rear , taufiq umar , younis khan sat like zombies throughout the show. Their captain shoaib malik was tongue tied when he was asked a question & the ever witty sajid khan slipped in a please answer politically correct manner to him which probably made him a little nervous as did face a lot of flak because of his post match interview after the T20 finals. Amrita was on Saregamapa recently & looking pretty as always. This was for promotion of her new movie "My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves" , movie also stars mithun chakravarty & newcomer Nikhil Dwivedi who made appearance on the show as well.. The movie hasnt been promoted really well , somehow i never get the promotional strategies , all they show is a song or two for promotion and naturally if the song doesnt catch on no one goes for the movie specially if it doesnt have any stars. Even Dus Kahaniya which had a few really good stories failed at the BO because all they kept on showing was the songs. E Niwas has directed "My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves" & has gone downhill from where he started, his debut movie shool was spectacular in every way and e niwas was set to be the next big director , His next "love ke liye kuch bhi karega" was genuinely funny , then came dum which looked like a bad copy of a bad movie called ghaath , with Bardaasht ..e niwas fell even below. Another thoroughly unimpressive & regressive tv show. I really wonder who writes & directs such first rate bull, what kind of a education and childhood would they have suffered to make such a piece of thrash. For starters a princess should look like a princess , neha marda is just one alphabet more than being a mard , that actually says a lot for her. The lives of royal families are glamorous , what people would like to see on the screen in a more dramatized manner , while this has a princess which is locked away from the world and dresses like an ayah. The only good thing about the show is Rujuta Shah , who wasnt even in the press releases nor gets a proper billing in the show. Neeru was one of the stars of first Nach Baliye , as pretty as they come , Neeru did work a lot on Telly & that too she had a certain standard , never did any of those run of a mill shows saas bahu dramas etc. She was also the best thing in the show jassi in a long long time. Guns N Roses was probably where neeru was at her best , they should really go in for another season of the show. She did a few movies in punjabi , also a few music videos no & then but overall neeru hasnt quite lived up to her talent & ample talents she possesses. Sonali started off as a newsreader on ndtv hindi & starnews a few years back , she moved on to entertainment anchoring and did appear in a lot of such shows , was also breifly with cnbc awaaz in a show called 'Glamour Bazaar' which seems to have been taken off air for reasons best known to them. Suprisingly sonali moved to television acting in a lot of tv shows and for quite some time now, she seems to be off the page3 parties & i have never seen her interviews on tv perhaps thats why she hasnt really become a household name just yes, but one thing for sure there are many fans of sonali verma around , more than actually one can imagine. For two decades Helen was not only the most sought after 'item girl' but also the premier when it came to playing vampish roles. Her westernized dressing & gorgeous looks made her a crowd pleaser like no other. A 'helen song' was considered quite a treat in a movie and never did once helen look vulgar , she was always her dignified self even in edgy cabaret numbers. And she looked stunning for quite a long period of time and very much in a very modern sense rather than the usual 'wideness' that was associated with most leading actresses of that era. Jhoom India is actually turning out to be a well contested & interesting show. Currently the singing contests have taken a turn for the kids which makes for not just boring but also to a large extent unmelodious viewing. A better idea would be to go for a genre probably classical or ..even better would be item songs , would really boost the trp's for that channel. One of my favorite shows hosts daughter of ex Deputy Prime Minister L.K. Advani?s Pratibha Advani. She had a show back on SAB tv title "swayam" which probably has been one of the best interview shows on indian tv. She was always very courteous with with guests & her questions were well directed and to the point and the best part being she had no cockiness which is usually attributed to interviewers ie karan thapar, prabhu chawla etc Plus she makes a pretty face to look at as well.Her company Swayam Infotainment has been making some tv shows since a long time some pretty good shows like Ghoomta Aaina. Replacing Neha Bhasin, Aanchal Sabharwal is the new host of Saregamapa Hungama on Zee Next & she is one fine chick. Had seen her in a tv show a few weeks back where she played a side role but this chick sure caught my eye. She plays the role of Zoya in Aek Chabi Hai Padoss Mein. Not much dope on her on the net , even zee hasnt really had any press releases for the show / her which they had done so for neha bhasin, come to think of it the whole channel itself zee next seems to have been put up in a hurry without any proper publicity i place. She is doing films alright, might be bit roles & might be with tushar kapoor , but sophie is hot and mtv is where she is at her best , looking her best. MTV has gone horribly wrong in the choice of VJ's recently (channel V as well) , but sophie stands a class apart. She was also the only good thing about the movie speed.She was actually in three movies this year - aggar , speed & hey baby (special appearance in the song) and by the look of it seems to be settling down well in bollywood.
