  After listening to the basic story line of Heyy Babyy, the first question that came to every Hollywood-savvy reporter’s mind was; is it a rip-off of Three Men and a Baby? And director Sajid Khan was busy shooting down queries with his standard response, “Do you think I’d be so dumb?” He maintains that the film would be as similar as Munnabhai is to Patch Adams… in other words they would be nearly nothing alike. Now, we can only tell if this will be the case after the day of release. The woman and her lover were repeatedly stabbed by the husband in a hotel room in Sharjah where they were spending their honeymoon. They were married few days ago, police said. The 19-year-old from Khor Fakkan was married to her cousin. She was transferred from Al Qasimi hospital to Sharjah Central jail on Thursday. Her lover is still in serious condition in the hospital and will be transferred to jail after his condition improves, police said. The public prosecutor is investigating the case of the woman and her 28-year-old lover who is also a father of two daughters. Both are accused of adultery.

Brigadier Al Zafein is dismayed by the increasing number of pedestrians being killed after being run over by vehicles.    Dubai : Pedestrians who cross streets without following traffic rules will be arrested and charged with endangering others' lives, Dubai Police has warned. Brigadier Al Zafein said that he is dismayed over the increasing number of pedestrians dying after being run over by vehicles. "In most of these accidents, it was the pedestrian that was at fault," he said, because people cross busy roads without following road rules. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) will also assist traffic police patrols, he said. Brigadier Al Zafein, quoting statistics said, the number of pedestrians being killed, represent 30 to 40 per cent of total deaths on Dubai roads annually.He said figures show that 115 pedestrians were killed last year, compared to 98 pedestrians the year before.
