The View Goes On and On...
2008-02-13 21:07:00 Panorama view of Canyonlands, Utah, comprising of 5 shots stitched together. I made a (foolish!) attempt to climb up to Mud Lakes yesterday, I underestimated the amount of snow on the south facing accent. We were fine till we got about a mile and a half, then the snow started getting deeper and deeper, eventually we lost the trail and the snow depth was 4 - 5ft deep and soft. Snow shoes became useless and my snow loving Husky had to crawl across the top of the snow. The day ended up being one long day hike up Elk Creek, also under 2 - 3ft of snow, grrr.
