One of the men responsible for the terrorist attack at Glasgow Airport on June 30th died today following complications due to him dousing his body in gasoline and lighting himself, causing 90% of his body to be seriously burned. The man's name was Kafeel Ahmed, a 27-year-old who may have been the driver that rammed his Jeep into the terminal in Glasgow. Ahmed was an engineer with a degree in design and technology from Bangalore, India. His death is considered a loss mainly because of his possible ability to reveal other terrorist cell members. Besides that, good riddance.Seven women and one child were murdered and mutilated in the Cabo Delgado region of Mozambique this week. According to country officials the practice of murdering, mutilating and exhuming bones has become widespread for use in witchcraft rituals. Rush Hour 3 is coming out soon and after seeing the trailer for it I started wondering if Chris Tucker had ever been arrested. I know that seems odd, but I would seriously like to see him behind bars. Tucker was arrested on April 19, 2005 in McDuffie County, Georgia for for reckless driving and fleeing to elude after he did not pull over immediately. Police charged him for doing 109 mph in his Bentley.Tucker spent about 30 minutes in the slammer before posting a bond. His reason for speeding? He was in a hurry because he was late for church. The Sunni Accordance Front, which is responsible for representing the Sunni minority in Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's government, quit the Iraqi cabinet today. Five cabinet members and their Deputy Prime Minister walked away from the Iraq ruling body, plunging the country into chaos. So far over 70 people have been killed by suicide bombers across Baghdad today. This move is seen as a boycott but President Maliki has assured U.S. President George W. Bush that discussions between the two sides will continue despite the mass resignation. The Sunni Accordance Front has cited security differences as the reason for leaving, saying that Maliki's government has refused to grant them more power to protect their population.Of the seventy killed today, 50 died as a result of a suicide bomber who packed a fuel truck with explosives and detonated himself inside the truck at a petrol station. 60 other civilians were injured in the blast which tore its way through the Mansour district of Bagh...

Yanni, the New Age musician, was arrested in Florida in March of 2006 for domestic abuse after he allegedly struck his live-in girlfriend. Yanni was 51 at the time and is said to have struck his girlfriend after ordering her to move out of his mansion. Police reports have it that Yanni also called her many names in their presence, including but not limited to "cunt," "whore," and "garbage." Officers also mention in their report that the girlfriend had red marks on her arms, a split and bloody lip as well as dried blood on her face. Yanni denied ever touching her and spent a total of 11 hours in jail for the incident. Beyond that, no one has anymore information.Motiveless Crime is on the rise.

So far I've posted a few of these but this one really incenses me:And here I thought bloggers were the honest version of news outlets like FOX. Instead of trying to act neutral about things, we come out and blatantly state our opinions. Yet somehow FOX News gets away with hiding their ulterior motives by attacking the little guy. Flash back to nearly forty years ago and Northern Ireland was riddled with fierce clashes between Republican gunmen and British forces. The Iraq i parliament went into summer recess today after having stalled on discussions regarding a set of laws that the US has been pushing. Washington believes that the set of laws before the Iraqi branch of government, if passed, would establish stability in the country and lessen the need for foreign occupation. "We do not have anything to discuss in the parliament, no laws or constitutional amendments, nothing from the government. Differences between the political factions have delayed the laws," Kurdish lawmaker Mahmoud Othman told Reuters. The Iraqi parliament is playing ignorant to the laws, which makes me wonder if the entire situation is being manipulated by different factions. Jackson was taken into custody, booked and tested for his blood alcohol level which was at .14 (NC legal limit is .08). After posting $1,000 in bail, he was released. Jerry Oppenheimer, who wrote "House of Hilton" claims that Conrad Hilton, Paris' grandfather, has become so unhappy with Paris' rep that he cut her out of his will. Conrad doesn't appreciate how his granddaughter has dragged the Hilton name through the mud. Word has it that he has cut almost the entire family out of his will so that he can donate his billions to charity. How much did Paris lose out on when the old man croaks? $60 million. The actor was in town shooting that ill-fated drama/thriller, Domestic Disturbance. Celebrities need to stop taking time off for themselves on the weekends. Yesterday's gossip just didn't cut it so I scrapped the daily segment but luckily enough Guilty Pleasures has enough meat today.Miss Lindsay Lohan is having money issues. She recently contacted a tabloid (the same one that posted pictures of her passed out in a friend's car) and tried to sell pictures of herself for a hefty $30,000. Some are taking this as a sign that Lindsay has had her purse strings pulled in by someone. She tried to do the same thing last September. Of course paying $25,000 in bail for your second DUI in a year isn't cheap. Perhaps she should take up less expensive hobbies. Imagine how much she could save per month without doing an 8-ball per weekend, plus bail and legal expenses (not to mention lawsuits). Nicole Richie was sentenced today, so what better time to present her as our mugshot of the day? Richie has had her fair share of run-ins with the law. First she was arrested in February of 2003 for driving under suspended license and possession of heroin. Then on December 11th, 2006 Richie was pulled over adn failed a field sobreity test and was arrested for driving under the influence. Several witnesses saw Richie swerve through traffic and even driving on the wrong side of the highway. She admitted during the arrest that she had smoked marijuana and taken Vicodin before the incident.Nicole was sentenced today (July 27th, 2007) to four days in jail, fined $2,048, was ordered back to school for an alcohol education course and on three years probation. A car bomb in a Shiite neighborhood in Baghdad exploded today, killing 25 and wounding dozens of others. Macaulay Culkin, that former child star from the Home Alone movies, has some issues. Not only was he on the defense side of Michael Jackson's trial for child molestation but he has also had his own run-in with the law. In 2004 Culkin was arrested and briefly jailed for possession of marijuana as well as two dangerous controlled substances, Xanax and Clonazepam (for which he did not have a prescription). While none of these equate hard drugs, the amount found in his possession was staggering. Culkin had 17.3 grams of high-grade marijuna, 16mg of Xanax and 32mg of Clonazepam (a sleep aid). The Bourne Ultimatum had its major LA premiere last night and all of the stars were on the red-carpet, making the rest of us look bad.
