Open Letter to fellow Georgian Ron Paul Supporters :Many of you already know me as someone who worked very hard in support of Rep. Paul in his quest for the GOP nomination for President, that is, up until the business end of the GOP started.  With the assistance of some very dedicated individuals, we were able to give Dr. Paul the highest percentage of votes in the state in our area of concentration, Athens/Clarke county Georgia.  After reading the AJC article by Aaron Gould Sheinin this morning on how awful you all were treated at the GOP state convention, I was  compelled to write this letter.For some of you, this past year was the first time you became active in politics.  Others have been at it for a while.  Many came to recognize some time ago that it is futile to try to change the BIG government parties from within.  I can be counted among those with this belief, which is why I did not participate once the business portion ...

I believe there is great people in the Georgia GOP but none of them at the state level stood up for you guys. If you want to have input for the presidential candidate selection process then call me. I write this since it seems many Libertarians are unaware of the criteria which will be used to determine which LP Presidential candidates will be able to participate in the CSPAN debate held at the LP National Covention in Denver this May. I am attaching a letter (below) from LP Executive Director Shane Cory which explains the criteria. Over the past two weeks, I have received several inquiries from Libertarians concerned about how a presidential candidate "qualifies" to participate at the National LP Convention in Denver and/or "qualifies" to participate in the CSPAN debate. Several of you are concerned about the "Liberty Decides" program and whether that has anything to with qualifying as a candidate to participate - it does not.  This past Sunday Garrett Hayes and myself interviewed Mike Gravel . We talked about gun rights ,nuclear power, fair tax and democracy. After the interview I am now less likely to vote for Mike Gravel in any form. I thought it would be nice to have him on the ticket with Barr or someone else (maybe Ruwart or Phillies) but after the interview i know say NO. I am not sure what you guys think of democracy.
