Where is My Candidate?
2006-12-02 16:30:02 First Off To Your Right Is an Icon that says Cast your Vote. Click On That to Vote for your 2008 Presidential Candidate . Now With The Topic:There are always more people announcing their run for President especially in the third party realm. Unfortunantly I cannot put them all on one poll. Which is why I have came up with this solution. I have chosen only to hold the Democrat and Republican Poll. If your candidate announces his or her run or starts an exploratory committee then they will replace one of the "minor" candidates on the poll. For Example someone like Karen Keville who people have propably never heard of would not stay on the poll if someone like Barrack Obama or Hillary Clinton ann... More About: Dida , Here , Where

Vilsack Added to The List
2006-12-02 16:30:02 Tom Vilsack, the Democratic Governor of Iowa announced Thursday that he would seek his party's nomination for President in 08. Although there are many Third Party Candidates Running I will just list the Democrat and Republican Candidates so far.Democrat:Randy CrowMike GravelTom VilsackRepublican:Saint Michael Jesus ArchangelHugh Cort IIIJohn CoxDuncan HunterAs for this Saint Michael guy, well he def. wont be in the Iowa Caucus and unless he can somehow come up with $1,000 he wont be in the New Hampshire one either. Hugh Cort and John Cox, although not talked about as much in the media, still are gaining alot of ground with American Voters. Duncan Hunter a Congressman from California is not considered to be a "popualr" candidate. But as I began to look over all the candidates running I noticed something, these "popular" candidates, how did they become popular? It's all done by the media. If the media stayed out of labeling "popualr" and "unpopualr" candidates these Races would come... More About: List , The List , Sack

And though they are not mentioned often in todays political rehlm, there are definately other partys such as my favorite party the Greens, Libertarians, Constitutionalists, and the Reforms. also various other less popular political partys (Natural Law,Socialist,American Communist Party, ect). People are starting to get annoyed by being practically forced to choose between the lesser of 2 evils, and often mock it as being a decision up to the flip of a coin. With this agitation people are starting to vote for 3rd parties more and more, f... More About: Voice , VOIC

Keep in Mind that Politics One On One does not endorse any one writer. The writers are strictly stating their opinions on the issues they chose to talk about. Now with today's post:For me it was no surprise to see the Democrats take over the House, but after seeing them take over the senate as well, I knew President Bush was not going to be happy. I was extremely surprised at the fact that Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld resigned his position yesterday. Could it be that President Bush is trying to get on the "good" side of the Democrats by getting rid of someone who the Democrats and Average American Hate? Or could it be that President Bush really does want a change of direction in Iraq and knows that Donald Rumsfeld won't bring that change? Personally, I think the President does want to see a change in I... More About: Nation , Sign , Resignation

Parental Notification
More articles from this author:2006-12-02 16:30:02 All This Week There Will be Guest Writers for Politics One On One. Today (Sunday) is Stacy Cayce from Oregon who will be talking about Pare nt al Notification. Keep in Mind that Politics One On One does not endorse any one writer. The writers are strictly stating their opinions on the issues they chose to talk about. Now with today's post:This past Tuesday voters in Oregon voted down a ballot measure that would have notified parents if their teen daughters were seeking an abortion. Oregon is only one of six states that did not have a parental notification law as of last Tuesday. The law would allow a process to protect a teen girl who had been the victim of rape or incest. A simple phone conversation with a judge would keep her safe and avoid notification if she was in a bad situation. As a parent of a teen daughter I fully supported this bill. I also was a teen parent myself, and while I chose to keep my child and raise her, I feel that parents need to be involved. Not only is it im... More About: Cat , Rental , Rent 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 |
