Immigration Controls Make Baby Jesus Cry?
2007-10-15 15:21:00
This article literally cracked me up–not just because the lefty preacher is an incurable idiot, but because Mark Tooley is freaking brilliant and I love his sarcasm. While a Methodist minister whines that those of us who want controls put in place to stem the tide of illegals are naughty little racists who aren’t ...

Jerusalem to Be Divided?
2007-10-15 06:31:00
It disgusts me to see this, but doesn’t surprise me. …Jerusalem , united under Israel i rule since 1967 with free access for Muslims, Christians, and Jews to all their holy sites (except the Wakf-dominated Temple Mount itself, where access for Christians and Jews is limited), is now again on the chopping block as part of the latest ...

They Just Don?t Know Wisconsin Northwoods
2007-10-15 06:20:00
Little local story for you. I love how Wausau and Milwaukee want to take the state Attorney General to task over the shootings in Crandon. Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen last week said law enforcers would not answer questions about the case in the city where it took place, and he relayed a ...

Miller = Queer Beer
2007-10-14 20:46:00
This column is reason #4,762 why I have an intellectual crush on Vox Day. That, and he’s cute. “Choose this day whom you will serve,” Joshua once asked the people of Israel. The Miller Brewing Company, when asked to make a similar decision, preferred to serve alcohol to catamites instead of Catholics, as evidenced by ...

No More Mom and Dad in School
2007-10-14 18:43:00
If this isn’t disgusting, I don’t know what is. And one more thing–if anyone is out there still calling The Governator a freaking conservative, they need their head examined. CCF noted that now on a banned list will be any text, reference or teaching aid that portrays marriage as only between a man and woman, ...

Gathering of Eagles Hacked
2007-10-14 11:09:00
As many of you may already know, the Gathering of Eagles website was hacked and taken down by a Denial of Service attack two days ago. Thankfully, our hosting company (HostGator–highly recommended) was quite personable and worked with us over several hours to rectify the problem. Total downtime was only about 12 hours, ...

Three-year-old Islamic Bride in Afghanistan
2007-10-14 05:24:00
Doesn’t this just make you want sharia law in the U.S.? Little Sunam is among the 16 per cent of Afghan children married before they reach 15. Her dad Parvez promised Sunam to her seven-year-old cousin Nieem. It was a gift to the lad?s mum, Parvez?s sister, who wanted a daughter. The children, from Kabul, will probably marry ...

Haditha Engineered by Al-Qaeda
2007-10-08 17:59:00
I am trying as hard as I can to not scream “We TOLD you people!” but it refuses to stay under wraps. So… We told you so. In fact, we told you on 22 June 2006–over a year and a half ago–that the Haditha incident was nothing more than al-Qaeda setting up our ...

The Next Haditha
2007-10-06 23:00:00
By now you’ve probably heard about the ruckus this week in Iraq, when U.S. forces killed 25 in an airstrike on a town north of Baghdad.  The NY Times can barely contain its glee, with headlines like “Accounts Differ Sharply on U.S. Attack in Iraq.”  Don’t you just love that?  “U.S. Attack.”  If you read ...

Hypocrisy, Thy Name is Liberal
2007-10-06 01:32:00
In the wake of Democrats whining about Rush and his comments regarding antiwar “vets,” I was pleased to see the following list show up in my email from a good friend of mine. Those of us not suffering from BDS already know about these incidents.  Of course, since Democrats have notoriously short memories, they only ...

Haditha: Small Victory, But Still BS
2007-10-04 21:04:00
A bittersweet victory for not only SGT Frank Wuterich, but all of us who have been working on these cases for so long. Another Mexican Flag Flown Above Our Own
2007-10-03 19:07:00
Uncle Jimbo at Blackfive says, “Some clown in Reno was flying his Mexican flag above the US flag at his cantina and a news crew stopping by to verify this illegal action caught a fine gentleman taking care of the situation the old-fashioned way.” He’s got the video. Jimbo, a longtime friend of ER, is ...

Ahmadinejad and International Law
2007-10-03 19:01:00
From an editorial in the Jerusalem Post yesterday: First, President Ahmadinejad should have been declared an inadmissible person and placed on the “United States’s Watchlist” of persons barred from entering the country. For American law excludes from entry any person who has engaged in, or incited to, terrorist activity, or who “has used his position of ...

A Series of Unfortunate Incidents

It’s been a long few months, and an even longer couple days. It’s a long and drawn-out story, but the bottom line is that ER has been to hell and back in the last week. Moving servers/hosts, I got the bright idea to try and finally combine the archive site with the current site. ...

Update on Special Forces Murder Case
2007-09-26 19:07:00
This from Jim at Blackfive: I spoke with the Attorney for MSG Troy Anderson today, Maj. Lance Daniels (background here). I asked him about the charging document which was signed by an E-7 paralegal whose only familiarity with the case was having read a summary and was unaware that two investigations had cleared them. He agreed ...

GOE 3, Part 2: In the Face of Evil
2007-09-20 21:05:00
Read Part 1 first. The weather cleared a bit and became fairly pleasant as the day wore on, but it was the only thing becoming more pleasant. Outside the Capitol where Jake and I were, the mood was so tense it was palpable. We sat with Michelle Malkin and Bryan Preston for a while while Michelle live-blogged, and we tried to ignore the straggling moonbats as they shuffled by in twos and threes, screaming obscenities and giving us the finger. I told Jake not to waste his time and energy on the individuals walking by?there would be far more of them soon enough. My words became true after another hour of waiting, and soon the street was awash in a sea of coward?s yellow. Signs screamed everything from ?Get Out of Iraq? to ?Stop Bombing Lebanon.? Were we bombing Lebanon? I didn?t know that. Those moonbats were sure well-informed. I asked a few of them as they walked by if they could name the countries bordering Iraq but their only answer was unprintable and had something to do w...

Part 1: Perspective
2007-09-19 06:26:00
I was there in March, when the mud and the frigid wind couldn’t stop tens of thousands of us from standing up to say, “Never again!” to the anti-American Left at the first Gathering of Eagles rally. I was there in May, when the unforgiving sun beat down upon thousands more of us as we stood before Lincoln to honor those who have gone before, and those who go today. I was there Saturday, when the “peace-loving” hippies threw eggs, kicked shins, pointed fingers, and started fights, all in the name of peace. But this time, I didn’t see them through my eyes. I saw them through the eyes of a soldier who has given more of himself than all of those rainbow-clad freaks marching under a coward’s yellow banner. SPC Jake Altman is a fresh-faced, somewhat shy 21-year-old who lost his right hand and almost lost both legs in Iraq this spring. I met him Friday night at Walter Reed when he came up to us after the counter-protest. With tear-filled eyes, he t...

Fallen But Never Forgotten
2007-08-19 18:24:00
Kory Wiens and his dog Cooper are my desktop wallpaper, a reminder that teamwork, sacrifice, and service to country are paramount. The first military working dog team killed in action together since the beginning of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were laid to rest together July 18. Cpl. Kory D. Wiens, 20, of the 94th Mine Dog Detachment, 5th Engineer Battalion, 1st Engineer Brigade of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and his partner, Cooper, were killed July 6 by an improvised explosive device while on patrol in Muhammad Sath, Iraq. They had been in Iraq since January. The cremated remains of Wiens and Cooper, a Labrador retriever, were buried together at Salt Creek Cemetery in Wiens? hometown of Dallas, Ore., at the request of his family, said Master Sgt. Matt McHugh, the family?s casualty assistance officer. ?Kory referred to Cooper as his son, that?s now much of a team they were,? McHugh said. Read the whole story. Powered by ScribeFire.

Mattis to Sharratt: Case Dismissed!
2007-08-10 04:42:00
by guest author Gary Gross My good friend Darryl Sharratt just posted the good news on Freepers. Here?s what Darryl posted: At 7:00 PST, 9 August 2007 Justin and his attorney met with a Marine Corps representative in an office at Camp Pendleton, CA. At this time, my son LCpl Justin Sharratt, was handed an official Marine Corps Disposition of Charges document declaring the charges stemming from the 19 November 2005 Haditha engagement have been officially dismissed. The last line of the two page Disposition Of Charges document ended with these words from the General, ?And as you have always remained cloaked in the presumption of innocence, with this dismissal of charges, you remain in the eyes of the law- and in my eyes- innocent.? Lt. Gen James T. Mattis Jim Robinson? My family would like to offer you a sincere and deep felt thank you. During our darkest days you allowed us to publish our story here on Free Republic. When others went deaf, you listened and you hea...

Military (In)Justice Finally Makes the MSM
2007-08-09 18:36:00
They didn’t get the case right (Hutchins is squad leader for the Pendleton 8, not the Haditha Marines), but at this point, I’m just happy someone is finally paying attention at all. The Marine veterans discussed in this article are the ones I’ve been working with for the last year and a half both directly and indirectly. I’m glad the story is finally getting out. (SALEM, Ore.) - A Marine convicted for murder in Haditha, Iraq is receiving increasing public support by those who believe he is not guilty. Marine Sergeant Lawrence Hutchins has been sentenced to 15-years for the killings in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq. Friends say Hutchins is innocent. Advocates say a number of the government’s dirty secrets bear their load on this Marine, considered by many as a scapegoat. The particular case in Iraq involves the questionable death of one Iraqi civilian male. Sgt. Lawrence Hutchins III’s parents are not taking it in stride; meeting recently with th...
