2008-05-22 23:07:00
We don't know how, but somehow ABC Action News got sly and obtained audio recordings of phone conversations that Nick Bollea (aka Nick Hogan ) has been making from jail to his parents, Linda Hogan Bollea and Terry Hulk Hogan Bollea. In the calls, Nick sniffs as if he's crying, and complains that he can't take 8 more months of sitting in a windowless room half the size of his bathroom.

2008-05-22 23:03:00
How awkward is this: Republican presidential candidate John McCain, who has said in the past that he's proud to have led an effort in [Arizona] to protect the sanctity of marriage as between a man and a woman, and who supported the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act (which banned federal recognition of gay marriage and domestic partnerships), was on the Ellen DeGeneres Show today.

Singers Apparently Forget Singing Is An Art, Too
2008-05-22 23:03:00
Dang, what's up with all the singers wanting to be actresses, and not wanting to call themselves singers anymore? According to yesterday's SFGate Daily Dish, Beyonce Knowles semi-confirmed her April 4th New York wedding to Jay-Z by saying, I don't deny it. I just don't talk about it...A lot of actresses that have had successful relationships don't talk about them, so neither do I.

A Possible Victory For Both Cattle And Beef Eaters
2008-05-21 13:31:00
Strange that there could be a victory for both vegetarians and meat-eaters alike, eh? But a new bill could mean just that. The Downed Animal and Food Safety Protection Act could protect both cows and people, as it would ban USDA inspectors at slaughterhouses from approving meat from downed cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, and equines. According to the HSUS, at least 13 of the 16 cases of mad cow disease in North America have involved downed animals; and in February, the largest beef recall in U.S. history was revealed after animals who appeared sick, injured, and unable to walk were led into the food supply.

2008-05-20 05:08:00
No, Charles Barkley didn't call himself a dumbass intentionally: it was a little trick fellow anchors on TNT Sports TV played on him. Within the wording of the teleprompter, one of his co-anchors typed something funny on the screen...and Barkley read it out loud. Funny stuff! Check out the video.

Janet Jackson Turns To Authoring
2008-05-20 05:06:00
Unfortunately for Janet Jackson , her last album hasn't gone so well: it started out okay, with the first single, Feedback, reaching #19 on the Billboard's Hot 100. But the singles released after that didn't make a splash, and the album sales for Discipline have dropped to about 310,000 copies in the US, making it one of her least successful albums. But Janet isn't discouraged; she has a couple of things in the works.

2008-05-20 04:56:00

While the Chinese , knowingly and intentionally, export inferior products and dangerous toys and goods to be sold in American markets, the media wrings its hands and criticizes the Bush Administration for perceived errors. Yet 70% of Americans believe that the trading privileges afforded to the Chinese should be suspended. Well, duh..why do you need the government to suspend trading privileges?

Unswayed by the leaps in converts to the Democratic Party this year, and also by the million or so voters just tacked on for Ron Paul, Senator John McCain's campaign is stepping it up a notch and embracing green stuff. Not to be outdone by climate change references in the Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama campaigns, McCain's campaign manager Rick Davis announced new Eco Friendly Clothes this week.
