Indians grovel before the Brits

Look at the irony - On the one hand we have the shilpa shetty episode where we are all outraged by the brit's attitude and on the other hand we have these Indians (who are settled in Britain under the HSMP scheme) grovelling before the brits to allow them to stay in UK (apparently they have filed some kind of an appeal)My question to all these Indians - guys where has your sense of pride gone? If you are really so skilled do you really need to beg these brits to allow you to stay? are you all so shameless - ? India and Indians would still welcome you back with open arms. If Brits want to eject you out - remember it is their loss not yours ( I agree that you will not get your daily fix of the scotch cheaper) but then in my opinion it is better to pay a slightly higher price for a scotch and living with dignity rather than living like a second grade citizen. Brits boot out Indians

Much hue and cry is being raised over the brits booting out asians who have gone under the highly skilled manpower scheme. Me says - the brits are possibly doing something right after a very long time.What are the Indians cribbing about? Didnt they know when they left their motherland that they are opting for a second class citizenship in a foreign land? Agreed, 15 years ago the opportunities in India were limited and as such a lot of Indians opted for foreign land. But now with the economy booming and India being touted as one of the leading salary paying countries I see no reason as to why these Indians are cribbing to comeback to India where they rightfully belong. What is wrong in Brits opting for booting Indians and thereby creating more job opportunities for their own people. We Indians would have also done the same.Maybe the problem these so called Indians face will be the prospect of shifting into a country which is dirty, fraught with problems, unhygenic - but then guys ..h...

Noida - skeletons in the closet

My home pageThe Noida affair of children's skeleton is getting grislier and murkier by the day resulting in new skeletons tumbling out of the closet (sic) . The entire issue and the police handling of the affair makes one sick to the core. The episode brings to light the pathetic condition of the law and order system of the country. The police have been changing their stance on the issue quicker than you can say shut up.First of all the alleged culprits - what kind of sick and mentally deranged individuals are we dealing with. No person with an iota of saneness would indulge in such acts of crime which can only be termed as heinous and sickening. Saddam hanging videos

The webspace is awash with video clips showing saddam's hanging in all its gruesome details. Even I have seen the video and it was quite disturbing to realise that we (including me) find a very sadistic delight is watching a man being killed (I would not like to term it as justice being met -- thats a different debate altogether).Is this some kind of erosion in human sensibilities - that we find immense pleasure in watching another human being killed.
