Witch Hunt -present
2007-06-05 03:56:00
Witch Hunt 1950s-Present This is really what it is. That a giant indignity takes place when a person is make to excrete anything for analysis seems to have been passed by the wayside. What is the right to privacy if not the retention of one's own bodily fluids and sera? Ok you can look in my pocket, in my car, in my house, up my ass. It's all cool. Those who want marijuana legalized know it is events like this that are what the battle is really about. Whether a man or women can smoke something they grow with their own hands in their own house is secondary to this, the strains and injustices and unconstitutionalities that arise when you try to enforce a ridicuolus, feeble-minded law with no basis in scientific fact ot even probable reason. Laws must be reflective of what the people want. A conservative estimate, based on the last "marijuana decriminalization" ballot in Colorado, is that at least 30% OF VOTERS find no problem with the end of this new Prohibition against marijuana, ...

Congress Gives in to the Bushwhacker HERE ARE YOUR CANDIDATES To Vote For i
2007-05-25 03:28:00
May 24, 2007It is a sad day for those who have held out hope that saner heads would prevail and Congress would bring a stiff end to this war in the Middle East, or at least force Bush to fight without any money. No, today the House approved a bill that will send more money to the Iraq and Afghanistan operations, and worse than that, they signed a bill that establishes absolutely NO timetable for the withdrawal of troops from the area. In essence your representatives have given in and said it is OK for Bush to have more taxpayer money for his misrepresented and lost cause, and furthermore that we can stay there as long Bush likes...even if he still doesn't have a plan. The Senate is expected to approve the bill tonight. While there are dissenters, this again shows how far removed from the people are these people we erroneously call our representatives. None of the major Democratic candidates for President made a peep about the bill, afraid to lose the pro-war fanatics, apparentl...

Bush Makes His Choice: I LOVE WAR
2007-05-14 01:33:00
As of today George Bush will allow no withdrawal timeline for getting the troops out of Iraq. This despite a majority of both House and Senate in favor of ending this third lost conflict. We have completed a trilogy of foolishness, forcing our will and lifestyle on other, poorer nations, for marginal---some would say delusional---"threats" to "our way of life," for a third time. Vietnam, Korea, now Iraq and the Middle East, for too many years have cost us  human lives, trillions of taxpayer dollars, and respect in the eyes of the world.      Perhaps not so coincidentally our taxes during these years have risen from practically nothing in the 1950s, to taxes on everything we buy today, and even of course on our income itself. Property tax, sales tax, income tax, capital gains tax, tariffs, stamps, cigarette tax, luxury tax, driver's license cost (which is a tax), registration for your vehicle, inspection of your vehicle, maintaining mandatory insurances (all...

A Good College Education

We have composed  two videos to help provoke a little thought, you can view these videos through the hosting of the kind folks over at www.dailymotion.com. If the response is good we'll post some more and some of those sent in.The news today, with apologies for the hiatus, is about a certain young man of Korean descent who shall remained here unnamed. Let's start by acknowledging that, even should they exist, no man can allow himself to succumb to these perhaps only real "demons" that live in his own mind. But let me also be the first to try to see this grisly tale from his point of view. Now, other than his being portrayed as macabre and perhaps weird in other ways, as of this time his record is known to be clean. He was not a criminal. He wrote in his plays about the macabre, about killing and molestation and all those other things too many people take as real but which nevertheless have made men like Quentin Tarantino esteemed and very rich. Horror, terror and the macabre ...

Health Insurance Required REALITY in Massachusetts AND Phony Drug Results
2007-03-21 09:01:00
In the continuing saga of Us-versus-the Health Care Totalitarians, I wish to bring to attention today two stories of note, both published in USA Today in the last week. The first, as reported by Julie Appleby, concerns the actuality of required health care, now instituted by the state of Massachusetts. While this is not necessarily a Federal issue, it is the lack of Federal involvement that has essentially made this a reality. All Massachusetts residents are being required to carry health insurance or risk penalties and fines. These policies range from about 120 dollars to over 800 dollars a month. Those who cannot pay are being subsidized by the government for now, and this being done we need to ask ourselves what exactly is being accomplished here. The ones who can afford health insurance already have it and hardly need this program. Those who cannot are still being looked at as welfare recipients and still being supported by our tax dollars. How about this, how about we require pl...

Saints or Sinners? Who Shall Lead Us?
2007-03-11 17:01:00
Make what you want of the numbers, but according to a new story by Ron Fournier/Trevor Tompson and appearing in the Examiner online here, 55 percent of Americans polled care more about a candidate's "character" than his or her stance on issues.I paragraph break because I want to say some things about this poll. First, what is the character of it, how was it done? How was the question asked, exactly? Second, I want to know what the results mean.To the first they answer that the "...AP-Ipsos poll of 1,001 adults, conducted Monday through Wednesday, found honesty was by far the most popular single trait - volunteered by 41 percent of voters in open-ended questioning."What? I need more information, guys, I mean there are two of you reporting this story. Actually three if you count the "AP Survey Expert" Dennis Junius. What I need to know is how was the polling conducted? How many people did you survey? Where were they from? What were their education levels? How does...

Continued Lies about The War on Terror
2007-02-22 10:26:00
Yesterday in a very under-publicized story (USA TODAY 8A), the US Justice Department's investigations of Terror Crime reporting has found that many crimes have been classified as Terror-related by Federal prosecutors when they were not. Since 9/11, the Fed prosecutors have been counting crimes such as drug trafficking, immigration violations, and marriage fraud as terror-related! According to the article, "The flawed data appeared to result from haphazard disagreement over how to report the numbers..."Flawed data and information seem to be a trademark of this current administration. While on the surface this seems like a small story, in actuality this is a major deal and should be pursued to find the source of the "errata" more specifically. What such innocent mistake reports do is allow the President and the military to back up their saga about the extent of terrorism in America with bogus numbers. More money, more clout, more troops, they can all be had by accepting such data...

Anti-Smoking Militants are INSANE
2007-02-09 21:58:00
Today the USA Today published the results of yet another new cigarette study, this one conducted by Heather Wakelee and Ellen Chang. It was written by Maggie Fox, the health and science editor of the USA Today. I don't know about Maggie, but that Ellen and Heather are anti-smoking militants cannot be denied. According to this study, it was found that women are more likely to contract lung cancer than men. It also states that they do not know why, but they of course blame second hand smoke. I mean, how else are they going to get smoking banned?Despite the fact that their nasty perfumes and likely overall ugliness can themselves be legitimately considered cause for my aesthetic disease, harming my olfactories and eyesight, rather than seek reasons other than cigarette smoke (uh, maybe space shuttles busting holes in the atmosphere, thousands of planes emitting toxins every day into our closed atmosphere, the makeup they stick on their faces, factory pollution, automobi...

Vaccinations and the Pharmaceutical Industry
2007-02-09 10:01:00
Yesterday it was announced that the Feds in their usual cooperation with the pharmaceutical industry, will be soon fast pushing a new drug that supposedly can help prevent cervical cancer in women. If the testing be validated properly, and the long-term effects studied for enough time, perhaps this is a good thing. But all indications seem this is yet another way for the "legal drug" companies to get rich, by mandate no less, at your expense. It seems this new vaccine, which experts in the field say should not be considered a cure for this cancer, but rather a sort of deterrent, will become, like that for polio and the rest, required for all females, all newborn or recently-born female babies. This is yet another slippery slope, and if this mandate passes and it does indeed become required for enrolling that female child in school, then all marginally beneficial drugs which make similar claim for other illnesses will fast become the norm. Paid for by tax dollars through the Feds...

Health Insurance to be REQUIRED?
2007-01-24 10:18:00
And now the Feds have been working on a new push, similar to the one that requires you to have auto insurance to drive a car. Led by of all people the Two-Terminator himself, Arnold, Bush and his whackers seem intent on doing everything possible but provide American citizens with health care. The insurance bigwigs can be said to have a big hand in running this country. They have customers courtesy of the government, who require it for using an automobile, and soon they will require it for health care; simply, you will be denied certain benefits, driving an automobile, losing out on tax breaks, and so on, if you do not have health insurance.Like many things we have no choice about, including auto insurance, this will add one more requirement, and add yet more customers to the insurance (read "extortion") business. No doubt we need health care, and like every civilized Western nation, we should have it too, paid for through a small tax increase, and subsidized by the government. ...

USA PICKS A NEW TARGET
2007-01-09 10:22:00
THE WAR MACHINE KEEPS ROLLINGToday the USA has launched an air strike against Somalia, keeping its reputation as warmonger intact. In this latest escapade of our federal government, and in our continued WILD GOOSE CHASE after members of Al-Qaeda, we have violated yet more international agreements and placed more innocent lives in peril. It seems now nothing can stop us, and so, worse than Russia ever was, we invade foreign sovereigns seemingly at will, and OVERKILL has become our buzzword. When will it all end? Is it not fair to say now that Al-Qaeda has won? Is it right for these Feds to make us enemies everywhere? When will we realize that the more we spread our display of power the more we will become targets of terrorists?Notice that this is a declaration of war against Somalia and will be treated as such. Yes, it is "only" Somalia, but it is an AGGRESSIVE action founded on shady intelligence, and was done without approval of Congress. Apparently the War on Terror catch-all...

Happy New Year NASA!
2007-01-02 23:37:00
Yeah sure there was a time I got into everything spacey. I read all the "Chariots of the Gods" series and Erich Von Daniken stuff, and during about a five year period it drove my entire research instinct. I couldn't get enough info on the Mysteries. First on Aliens and UFOs, then with this as my gateway drug, after looking at all the photos I could find and evidence of extraterrestrial life available to me I was fast swept into other realties, Ramtha and Jane Roberts, Madame Blavatsky, Bermuda Triangle, Yeti, Loch Ness Monster, parapsychology, mysticism, yoga and magic, theosophy, and some remnants of this Quest for the Unknown probably remains in me. It is interesting stuff, this exploration of possibility. But I remain skeptical.I am more skeptical about NASA, in fact, than I am about the rest. More sure am I that Nessie dwells in Ireland, that we are being visited by people from far far away, that there are spirits communicating with morta...

The death of Saddam Hussein
2006-12-30 15:10:00
Saddam Hussein today has been hanged for alleged crimes against humanity. I say alleged because although the international community seems fairly certain about the allegations of genocide and using chemical weapons against the Kurds and Kuwaitis, the truth is the entire defense really made no use of their time in court to prove their innocence. Instead, Hussein and his co-defendants disputed the legitimacy of the court itself, and Hussein especially made constant allusions to the quite possibly valid claim that he is, or rather was until his death, still the legitimate President of Iraq. I encourage anyone unfamiliar with this high-profile act of capital punishment by checking out the article at Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trial_of_Sad dam_Hussein since it provides a good introduction to what just has transpired in this 21st century world. Some highlights of the trial are reported elsewhere and are very striking. They also lead to the claim, by some, that the...

Robert Gates, Head of Pentagon, Secretary of Defense
2006-12-19 22:28:00
Yesterday Robert Gate s was sworn in as George Bush's newly appointed Secret ary of Defense , replacing the abdicated "Herr" a.k.a. "Get Outta Dodge" Rumsfeld. As experience Gates has a resume glistening with even CIA Chief experience. He is lauded by Democrats and Republicans alike. But the way he spoke just after his initiation ceremony gala (CHA-CHING! That's YOUR money!), I think he seems but another madman. He said (USA Today 12-19-06 10A, after prefacing with the usual jargon about wanting to "bring home our sons and daughters"...):   "...we simply cannot afford to fail in the Middle East. Failure in Iraq at this juncture would be a calamity that would haunt our nation, impair our credibility, and endanger Americans for decades to come."WHAT NONSENSE is this? Coming from the new head of American defense? Let's see if we can't analyze these statements. What does he mean by saying we "cannot afford to fail"? ...

The Right Wing / Left Wing Joke
2006-12-07 10:27:00
Hello everyone, and welcome to my first real blog.Today I want to discuss and so bring up for discussion the myth of the right and the left. It seems everyone today chooses one team or another, the right wing or the left wing, and most still fancy themselves either democrat or republican, as if there is any difference between the two.Well today there is no difference between the two. A conservative democrat and a liberal republican are virtually indistinguishable. More importantly, most uf us citizens today do not easily fall into either category. Some of us may be for abortion rights but against gay marriage, anti-death penalty but for prayer in schools, against the war in Iraq but for freedom to bear arms. Consequently, there are many of us without any real representation by the Feds. Like stooges, we are made to pick a side, often having to settle for the lesser of two evils, while our own views get compromised. In short, there are MILLIONS of us who have political views that spa...
