Hillary Clinton Brags About How She?s the Candidate for ?White Americans? ?
2008-05-12 23:10:00 In an interview with USAToday, Hillary Clinton had a little slip of the tongue, when she essentially said that she’s the “white folks” candidate. In fact, after recent highly racist comments were made, this picture even surfaced: OK, so obviously I’m joking. What actually happend is Clinton misspoke, and the media has blown it somewhat out ... Michigan Supreme Court : No More Health Benefits for Gays’ Partners
2008-05-09 03:59:00 Yesterday, the Michigan Supreme Court decided a case dealing with whether or not public employers are allowed to provide health care benefits to partners of homosexuals. The Court reached that decision in a 5-2 vote in the case of National Pride At Work v. Governor of Michigan. Here’s an excerpt from the opinion, written by Justice Stephen Markman: We granted leave to appeal to consider whether the marriage amendment, Const 1963, art 1, § 25, which states that “the union of one man and one woman in marriage shall be the only agreement recognized as a marriage or similar union for any purpose,” prohibits public employers from providing health-insurance benefits to their employees’ qualified same-sex domestic partners. Because we agree with the Court of Appeals that providing such benefits does violate the marriage amendment, we affirm its judgment. … CONCLUSION The trial court held that providing health-insurance benefits to domestic partners does not violate... Why Pro-Lifers Should Vote for John McCain: From a Pro-Life Prospective
2008-05-08 23:56:00 I’ve just gotten done with what seems like my 500th debate with a pro-lifer who claims they won’t vote for McCain. Now, I myself am extremely pro-life (no abortions, not even under circumstances of rape, incest, or mother’s life [except tubal pregnancies where it is impossible for the baby to survive], no embryonic stem cell research, etc…). I would NOT vote for Rudy Giuliani, and I will vote for a pro-life Democrat over a pro-choice Republican. Being pro-life has ALWAYS been important to me, since I was a little kid, and this election is no different. Many pro-lifers say that McCain isn’t pro-life enough enough, especially when it comes to embryonic stem cells. I’ll give them that - I am saddened that McCain supports experiments that have so far yielded ZERO productive results, but McCain is not an advocate of ESC research, McCain is an advocate of what works, and as it is shown more and more that adult SCs are yielding results, I think...
