The Global Warming Medicine Show
2008-04-03 00:57:00 Global warming and cooling, according to our more down-to-earth earth sciences scientists, seem to occur in 1500-year cycles. People's lifespans, something like 35 years or so for century after century before capitalism came along and, much to the chagrin of lefty hollowhead Marxist anti-capitalists who still blindly deny it, extended the average life expectancy out to 70 or 80 years or so, was just too short for people grubbing in the ground for their grub in the form of grub worms to take much notice of these great climate shifts. Today it seems that we are living in one of those 1500-year transition periods. read more More About: Science , Global Warming , History , Medicine , Show
Deadly Sins for Everyone
2008-04-03 00:47:00 Since the Catholic Church scored big with its first Seven Deadly Sins back in Century No. Six they've recently decided to do a sequel (Seven Deadly Sins II?). Predictably, the new Deadlies are a mix of politically correct, socially manipulative and ruling-class-friendly injunctions. And vague. What is "obscenely" rich? What is "social" justice? read more More About: Society , Religion , Satire , Morality
How To: Disable Your Passport's RFID Chip
2008-04-02 21:05:00 "All passports issued by the US State Department after January 1 will have always-on radio frequency identification chips, making it easy for officials ? and hackers ? to grab your personal stats. Getting paranoid about strangers slurping up your identity? Here?s what you can do about it. But be careful ..." "4) The best approach? Hammer time. Hitting the chip with a blunt, hard object should disable it. A nonworking RFID doesn?t invalidate the passport, so you can still use it." read more More About: Bill of Rights , Chip , Passport
Where's our anonymous electronic money?
2008-04-02 20:27:00 ?First, Congress banned the use of credit cards ?and other payment forms? to settle Internet wagers. Now the San Francisco Chronicle wants to impose a similar ban on the use of credit cards to make purchases from online pharmacies. ? Credit cards and other payment systems, once seen as a potential route to financial flexibility, have become tools of political control. There are alternative means of payment, but these have proven vulnerable to government pressure. read more More About: Electronic , Money , Anonymous
Before the JEC, on Regulation, by US Rep. Ron Paul
2008-04-02 07:00:00 I have never been opposed to regulation, although my idea of regulation differs from that of many people in Washington. The free market and its forces of supply and demand are the most effective regulator of the private sector, and have never been known to fail absent government intervention. But piling more public sector regulation on the private sector will have a detrimental effect on the health of our financial system and sow the seeds for the next financial meltdown. read more More About: Regulation , Inflation , Ron Paul , Federal Reserve , Paul
Statement Before the Financial Services Committee, On UIGEA, by US Rep. Ron
2008-04-02 07:00:00 I stand opposed to the regulations being discussed today because I opposed the underlying bill upon which these regulations are based. The ban on Internet gambling infringes upon two freedoms that are important to many Americans: the ability to do with their money as they see fit, and the freedom from government interference with the Internet. read more More About: Services , Finance , Financial , Committee , Financial Services
Tin Roof 2005 Syrah Cabernet Sauvignon California

On Money, Inflation and Government, by US Rep. Ron Paul
2008-04-01 07:24:00 These past few weeks have provided an unfortunate opportunity to discuss inflation. The dollar index has reached new all-time lows. The total money supply, M3, as calculated by private sources, is growing at a disturbing 17% rate. The Fed is pumping dollars into the economy at an alarming rate. Just recently the Fed announced new loan auctions totaling $100 billion. That is new money created from thin air. If these money auctions, combined with the bailout of Bear Stearns, continue to be the trend, we are in for some economic stormy weather. The explanation lies in understanding the basics of money, and why it is dangerous to give government and big banks control over it. First, money is not wealth, in and of itself. You cannot create more wealth simply by creating more money. Wall Street bankers cry out for more liquidity, but what is really needed is more value behind the dollar. But the value, unfortunately, isn't there. read more More About: Economics , Government , Money , Inflation , Ron Paul
Statement on H Res 997
2008-04-01 07:00:00 Mr. Speaker, I rise in opposition to this resolution calling for the further expansion of NATO to the borders of Russia . NATO is an organization whose purpose ended with the end of its Warsaw Pact adversary. When NATO struggled to define its future after the Cold War, it settled on attacking a sovereign state, Yugoslavia , which had neither invaded nor threatened any NATO member state. read more More About: Ron Paul , Ukraine , Georgia , Statement
On Alexander Litvinenko?s murder, by US Rep. Ron Paul
2008-04-01 07:00:00 Mr. Speaker: I rise in strong opposition to this ill-conceived resolution. The US House of Representatives has no business speculating on guilt or innocence in a crime that may have been committed thousands of miles outside US territory. It is arrogant, to say the least, that we presume to pass judgment on crimes committed overseas about which we have seen no evidence. read more More About: Murder , Ron Paul , Paul , Alexander
Tin Roof Cellars 2006 Chardonnay California

Twin Fin 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon California

Tisdale Merlot California
2008-03-28 22:54:00 Mellow, soft, and very tasty. While it doesn't have great depth or intensity, it is an all around 'great' drinking and companion wine. Pick a young immature sprite to drink this with. And at this price, it also good for a night of carousing. read more More About: California , Merlot , Wines , Tisdale
The Great Privatizing Ploy
2008-03-26 23:05:00 The public planning oppressors are at it again. In a Fort Worth Star-Telegram article ("Is the time ripe to privatize our urban mass transit systems? NO") a government coercion apologist cited a counterfeit case of "privatization" as a justification for damning all privatization. The writer makes it clear that he's against the very concept of privatization by describing the act of transforming any taxpayer-plundered boondoggle into a money-making enterprise "as close to vulture capitalism as one can get." He then offers Transantiago, the government-run bus system of Santiago, Chile, as his position-clinching Exhibit A. read more More About: Business , Transportation , Great

Emergency Update on the Real ID
2008-03-25 05:51:00 This story broke this morning. You NEED to know and take action immediately. The Global Agenda for control has ratcheted up its agenda; it is now moving faster than we imagined possible. We need to get Mark Lerner to Washington D. C. immediately to speak for us. Congress has listened to Mark before, they will listen again, if he can get there.read more More About: Update , Real , Emergency

On Five Years in Iraq, by US Rep. Ron Paul
2008-03-23 18:23:00 Five years ago last week, the US military's "shock and awe" campaign lit up the Baghdad sky. Five years later, with hundreds of thousands of Iraq is and nearly four thousand Americans dead, we should pause and reflect on just what has been gained and what has been lost. From the beginning, the march to war was paved with false assumptions and lies. Senior administration officials claimed repeatedly that Iraq was somehow responsible for the attacks of September 11, 2001. They claimed that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. They manipulated the fear of the American people after 9/11 to further a war agenda that they had been planning years before that attack. The mainstream media was complicit in this war propaganda. read more More About: Ron Paul , Paul , Years , Cons

Ron Paul Statement After 10 Years of War with Iraq
2008-03-23 03:47:00 The occupation of Iraq began five years ago today, but few realize that the march to war began ten years ago under Bill Clinton , when regime change became official U.S. policy. In 1998, I took to the House floor in protest of the Iraqi Liberation Act to warn that, ?I see this legislation as essentially being a declaration of virtual war. It is giving the President tremendous powers to pursue war efforts against a sovereign Nation.? My warnings were largely dismissed at the time, but five years later, we were bombing Iraq. read more More About: Ron Paul , Paul , Years

Dating tips, or how to save your Marriage in one easy lesson
2008-03-21 23:28:00 In reality, it takes two to tango and a marriage is both give and take. It constantly baffles me that the majority of American woman don't seem to understand that their husbands have biological needs. And you woman, by agreeing to be married, have committed your life to meeting those needs, and if you don't accept that, you should just start the divorce proceedings already. Now men, don't think you get off scot free here, your wife has physical, biological, and emotional needs that you too have committed your life to meeting. read more More About: Marriage , Dating Tips , Dating , Tips , Save

Better Living Through Chemical Warfare
More articles from this author:2008-03-19 23:13:00 Keen-eyed observers of the Mad Scientist wing of the American military research complex have noted that the Pentagon is at it again. With so many billions of taxbucks tied up in building last century's mega-weaponry, such as fighters and bombers and aircraft carriers and space-based surveillance and assault platforms, one would think there would be nothing left over for dabbling in the development of "non-lethal" esoteric futuristic Weapons of Mass Derision. One would be wrong. read more More About: Living , Chemical , Warfare 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 |
