WILL THE REAL AL-QAEDA PLEASE STAND UP
2007-07-27 12:42:00 The President constantly confuse Al-Qaeda in Pakistan and Al-Qaeda in Iraq as one and the same. Exactly from whom does this President gets his information to make such accusation or is he manipulating the public, Al-Qaeda or just confused? Is there a relationship among Al-Qaeda in Pakistan and the al-Qaeda in Iraq. What this comes down to is President Bush has started a false scare tactic to keep our troops in Iraq by asserting that A-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) are one and the same as Al-Qaeda in Pakistan (AQ), who attacked America on 9/11 and that simply has not been found to be true. So why is our President presenting such and argument in this manner? Tuesday, he made provocative new assertions about Al Qaeda 's role in Iraq, using recently declassified information to make his case that the global battle with the terrorism network ? and Americans' safety at home ? hinges on keeping U.S. troops there to fight.Bush's comments were met with skepticism by some terrorism experts and fo... Impeachment, Is It Possible?
2007-07-26 13:09:00 I am starting to think this impeachment of President Bush and Cheney will never be carried out, unlike the impeachment of former President Clinton, who by the way never caused any deaths with his acts which brought on impeachment charges.President Bush in my view, will get away without any such charges and I am growing tired of our House and Senate ignoring the will of the people. Will their ever be impeachment charges brought against this President? More About: Impeachment , Ossi

Bill Maher On Iraq
2007-07-22 08:32:00 See Original StoryBill Maher comedy on HBO was very funny, including the section on Iraq . It would have been much more humorous, if it wasn't so true.If U.S. combat forces withdraw from Iraq in the near future, three developments would be likely to unfold. Majority Shiites would drive Sunnis out of ethnically mixed areas west to Anbar province. Southern Iraq would erupt in civil war between Shiite groups. And the Kurdish north would solidify its borders and invite a U.S. troop presence there. In short, Iraq would effectively become three separate nations. That was the conclusion reached in recent "war games" exercises conducted for the U.S. military by retired Marine Col. Gary Anderson. "I honestly don't think it will be apocalyptic," said Anderson, who has served in Iraq and now works for a major defense contractor.

The group?s main recommendations call for a shift from combat to training Iraqi forces and fighting terrorism, a forceful regionwide diplomatic initiative and a reduction in American financial and military aid to the Iraqi government should it fail to meet prescribed goals.General Petraeus said the prospect of any hasty removal of US troops has him concerned. "If we pull out there will be greatly increased sectarian violence, humanitarian concerns.... You don't know what could happen in terms of dangerous conflicts, what could happen along the Kurdish/Shiite/Sunni fault lines, or how [Iraq's] neighbors will react."He says that "there are all kinds of dynamics to consider: Iran, Syria, and others have distinct interests. There are a number of different concerns hanging on the security situation."If U.S. combat forces withdraw from Iraq in the near future, three developments would be likely to unfold. Majority S...

2007-07-18 13:46:00 Al-Qaida is using its growing strength in Pakistan and Iraq to plot attacks on U.S. soil, heightening the terror threat facing the United States over the next few years, intelligence agencies concluded in a report unveiled Tuesday.National Intelligence Estimates are the most authoritative written judgments of the 16 spy agencies across the breadth of the U.S. government. These documents reflect the consensus long-term thinking of top intelligence analysts.House Armed Services Committee Chairman Ike Skelton, D-Mo., called on the U.S. to "responsibly redeploy" its troops from Iraq and turn security over to the Iraqis. "In hindsight, we should have concentrated our efforts on al-Qaida in Afghanistan from the beginning," he said.Beyond al-Qaida, the report also laid out three other potential terror threats to the country:_Lebanese Hezbollah, a Shiite Muslim extremist group, may be more likely to consider attacking here, especially if it believes the United States is directly threatening... As a child I was an introvert and when I was first introduced to the stage all that left me.2. During my summer breaks in College, except for one, I would tour with my uncle and open for his band. I would also make money during college by singing in clubs around town. By the end of college I had been in two singing groups.3. I broke my noise during track and field on the pole vault.4.I lost my scholarship for college during my 3rd year and had to explain it to my family. I did so during summer break by way of a letter. I went to Americus, Georgia with a friend to help him and his family pick cotton, they were going through hard times and almost lost their farm.5. I joined the Marine Corps because I had a need to fight. I needed to let off some steam and would have made it a career, until I was injured.6. Conyers emphasized that his committee is continuing to negotiate with the White House, and told Stephanopoulos, "We're hoping that as the cries for Cheney and Bush now reach 46% and 58%, respectively, for impeachment, that we could begin to become a little bit more cooperative, if not even amicable in trying to get to the truth of these matters.""We're seeking cooperation," insisted Convers. We the people want impeachment NOW
2007-07-04 23:10:00 Yesterday, George Bush decided to let Scooter Libby, the one man who was convicted for the lies around the Iraq war, avoid serving out his prison sentence. Even Paris Hilton served more jail time than he will. And letting Libby off the hook is only the most recent example of a consistent Bush administration pattern of obstruction of justice. Warrantless wiretaps, Alberto Gonzalez, the original outing of Valerie Plame; we're all familiar with the numerous past transgressions by these criminals. As they say in civics class, America is a country of laws, not of men. It's time for Congress to stand up and use those laws to rid our country of the men who are systematically dismantling our constitution and ignoring the checks and balances that have always protected our democracy. Bush and Cheney think their administration is above the law. That's un-American, and this July 4th it's time for Congress to re-assert its constitutional authority and stop the administration's obstruction of... More About: People , Impeachment , The People

Vice President Cheney Is Above America And Its Laws
2007-06-23 05:51:00 See Original StorySo it seems that Vice President Cheney is above America and its Laws . He has resisted routine oversight of his office?s handling of classified information. No one is good enough in America to ask anything of this man. When Cheney resisted, the National Archives unit that monitors classification in the executive branch objected, the vice president?s office suggested abolishing the oversight unit and the Information Security Oversight Office, as simple as that.?I know the vice president wants to operate with unprecedented secrecy,? Mr. Waxman said in an interview. ?But this is absurd. This order is designed to keep classified information safe. His argument is really that he?s not part of the executive branch, so he doesn?t have to comply.?Mr. Cheney and his legal adviser, David S. Addington, did not believe that the executive order applied to the vice president?s office because it had a legislative as well as an executive status in the Constitution. What do we do when ... Broom Sweeping The Republican Mistakes
More articles from this author:2007-06-08 08:58:00 The Democrats are sweeping away the Republic a n 's mistake little by little. They are restoring rights the Bush Administration and the Republican majority took away from us.The Senate Judiciary Committee passed a bill to restore habeas corpus, you know the one that gives us the right to challenge government detention in court.Habeas corpus was revoked last year by the Military Commissions Act, which is unconstitutional. The Republicans gave away this right as they have most all to this President. The habeas bill can now be brought to the Senate floor by Senator Reid as soon as next month. Just remember King George could veto any legislation dealing with this issue and any others that take away from his powers.I never wish for time to move foward fast, but I must say it will be great when this President is called former President.
