Why Does Israel Want Our Shit !!??
2009-12-16 17:45:00
The minister of irrigation and water resources Mahmoud Allam stated from couple of days that Egypt has declined a generous offer from Israel : They want to import our wastewater !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes Israel wanted to import our waste water and we refused its generous offer. Of course many people will be puzzled and wonder ? Why does Israel want our shit ??? Well actually it does not want our shit only but all our wastewater and they want it for irrigation as 70% of of Israel's irrigated agriculture is based on highly purified wastewater according to Wikipedia. It is not a secret that Israel wanted before the Nile Water and as a country it has its water problems that can lead in to a war in the region of its own. Of course I am guessing , already I do not know what they will do with our wastewater for real as it is huge quantity of wastewater for sure !! I do not know why Israel wants to import our wastewater and in Jordan is much nearer to it. This shows us how we are having huge ...

A Revolt in Hagana
2009-12-16 00:04:00
Ezabat Al-Hagana is just an area from the various areas you do not usually hear about in the media despite its catchy name. We suddenly found ourselves today in front of huge war in it between the people from one side and the government represented in Police forces from another side. It turned out that the government started in demolishing the houses of those people living in this area , the government began to demolish about 28 residential towers ?not really towers? in this area because they suddenly found they were registered after a whole decade !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????? ????????????By the way this number seems to be untrue because the residents are speaking more than 28 buildings are to be demolished. I began to read about this crisis which seems to be going for a while , it seems that the government wants to transfer the shanty towns residents to this area and do not ask me how if this area is fully occupied !!I also read from the residents of the area that th...

We Are A Nation Good At Destroying Its Heroes
2009-12-14 23:01:00
I do not think that I imagined that I would read this news today across the Arab world : Djamila Bouhired has sent an open letter to the Algerian State and people to help her in her illness. The famous Arab nationalist heroine of 1960s who became a symbol of independence in the whole Arab world is begging from the Algerian government !! The woman is asking the government to help her especially as a woman of national pride and dignity she refused aids from the Gulf :( It is not only her in Algeria , she has brothers in Egypt from 1973 Suez resistance veterans whose pension is disgrace forcing them to work as drivers on micro-buses in Suez. Those veterans stood against Sharon for weeks defending our dignity !! In fact she has brothers and sisters across the Arab world , those who did not think too long when they gave their lives to the nation but the nation is thinking too long to give them back what they do deserve. Man we are so similar more than I can imagine , our heroes  wh...

Hearing Their Story

Suddenly and unexpectedly their story came back from 42 years ago to speak about simple people , about our soldiers who were killed in 1967 and to remind us about a lost right , the right of our Egypt ian POWs   Read their story at Egyptian POWs. net  Hopefully the Egyptian Embassy in Tel Aviv will do something for real this time. To Our Embassy in Damascus
2009-12-14 00:04:00
This is for our embassy in Damascus , I know that our Embassies are made abroad for other proposes than to stand with Egypt ians in trouble but this is too much. Syria News published a story of an Egyptian lady living in Syria after being divorced for not having Children. This lady Mrs. Mahasan has lost her sight and she also lost  contact with her family in Egypt , she did not receive any thing from them for the last 15 years. After her divorce she worked in hotels and houses as a cleaning lady before of course losing her sight. She lives alone in total poverty in mount Qasioun. Mahasan is a very poor lady who seemed to be from the unfortunate uneducated class in Egypt who find a goods opportunity  in a foreign husband to their daughters regardless of what their daughters can meet in the future. Mahasan needs a doctor and a ticket to Egypt where she can find her family. Shall dare and ask about our honorable embassy in Damascus !!?? I hope  that Mrs. Mahasan did ...

A Prime Minister of An Arab Country
2009-12-13 10:47:00
I think Saad Al Hariri is the youngest prime minister in the Arab world and he will not be that good like the rest of his counterparts in the Arab world too. Please watch this video below from his speech in front of the Lebanese parliament after the long birth of his cabinet. The prime minister of Lebanon can?t read Arabic right !!?? This video is making fun of him with scene from the famous 1970s play ?The Children have grown up?  where Said Saleh reads the letter from his father?s mistress and can?t complete it because he can?t read actually!! I love Nabih Barry Mr.Prime minister do you want someone else to complete reading the speech !!?? And I Was Right?
2009-12-12 23:26:00
I was right when I said there is something going on in Algeria and the Algerian regime is using the game to divert the people?s attention from something sinister as it is the habit in the third world countries. I was right but I could never ever have imagined what that sinister thing is , it is beyond the usual hereditary scenario . Qatari Al Jazeera is reporting that an Algerian dissident has exposed an America n-Algerian agreement to host temporary American bases in the Algerian territories. Algerian political dissident Mohamed El-Arabi Zaiout claimed that the Algerian government used the game to reach for a final agreement with the Americans as they used to refuse hosting permanent bases. They had secret negotiations for months or even for years as the Americans wanted to use more than jails and torture in North Africa especially in the French influence territories. Zaiot claims that the Algerian regime has three terms from its side in order to host the American army tempora...

A Death In House of Al Assad
2009-12-12 17:25:00
Earlier today SANA reported Majd Al Assad , the younger brother of Syria n President Bashar Al Assad has passed away after suffering from a Chronic disease. Majd was suffering from this disease for years. He was married for 15 years but had no children. He was 40 years old according to the news reports coming from Damascus. He was graduated from the faculty of economics and political science , Damascus university. I think his illness made him a media shy personality comparing by his siblings. By the way there were rumors circulating in the Syrian opposition websites that Majd was suffering from some psychological disease that forced him to avoid public.  I think he is the first man from the right He will be buried tomorrow at the family cemetery in Qaradha beside his brother and father. May God bless his soul , this is what I can say. Technorati Tags: Politics ,Arabs,Arabic Faces,Syria,Majd Al Assad,Bashar Al Assad,Regional ,News,Mideast,Middle East

Has He Ever Been To Beirut Or Tehran ??
2009-12-12 13:32:00
I think you should read this at Jad Aoun?s Lebanon News: Under Rug Swept. Mr. Holger Awakens has never been to Beirut and Tehran and yet he believes they are so bad to the level he believes that sort of violence which is normal scene in the night clubs only to be seen in these two cities because of the difference in political regimes and ideologies !!!?? If I were from Mr. Awakens I would first search in the history of those two old great cities and I would read blogs about these two cities to see what my media does not show me because of some political agenda and then I would think if I should refer about these cities in this ill way. Here are two nice blogs about Beirut and Tehran which Holger does not know and does not want they do exist : Blogging Beirut and Tehran 24. You know he is right , this is no Beirut nor Tehran .. it is Santa Monica !! Mohamed ElBaradei : 1St Edition Interview ?Part 1?
2009-12-12 09:44:00
Here is the first part of Mohamed ElBaradei?s interview with El-Moslamany in Vienna during last summer. ElBaradei spoke about many things and many issues in Egypt in specific and in the Arab world in general despite he was being asked very few questions compared to his long answers. He spoke about the revolution and its principles which he really wished that they had been fulfilled , he spoke about the cons of Nasser rule and he spoke about the six days war , which he believes that we are still suffering from its impacts up till now Historically he mentioned stuff ordinary people in Egypt do not know about regarding what happened backstage in UN between the Egyptian delegation which he was a member in and the US delegation right after the start of War by 24 hours , also this UN resolution the Arab world managed to down despite it may have been in their sake !!?I expect that these two incidents will cause a debate in Egypt. ElBaradei is not against Pan Arab nationalism, he su...

Another Apparition
2009-12-11 18:05:00
Yesterday was a big night at Al-Waraq as it was reported that the Virgin Mary suddenly appeared there at night , you can see a video taken by a mobile phone from someone who was there and recorded  a part of the big night . People were shouting ?Film it , film it? and then they began to shout the famous football cheer ?Look and watch what the Virgin does !!???  It is so stupid and unrespectable also considering the status of the Virgin Mary in both Christianity and Islam too regardless of what you think about this apparition Does anyone remember the 1968 Zaitoun apparition ?? I smell the 1968 apparition in this one too. Technorati Tags: Citizen Journalism,Egypt,Egyptian Life,Media ,National,Politics ,Appartion,Vi rgin Mary,1968,History,Video ,Mideast,Middle East,Society

I Do Not Love You Showtime Orbit
2009-12-11 11:18:00
Showtime Orbit is going to air ?I love you Man? on Showtime Cinema TV Max for this week to its subscribers , I do not know if the network knows the controversy it has caused last year as it contained an insult to late President Sadat and currently Ruqaya El-Sadat is suing the film and is planning to sue the production company in the States too.?I love the part where she said it is film for gays which was peeped in the TV show for unknown reason? Showtime does not edit or cut anything from the films they show on their channels and thus those two insulting scenes in the film will be aired again across the Arab world. The Showtime network used to be more wise than this , it is enough that up till now they do  not dare to air ?Brokeback mountain? and this shows they know and understand very well the culture of the region and what should be aired and what should not be aired. In fact I remember now they have not aired ?Syriana? up till now because of its criticism to political regim...

Egyptian X-Files : On The Human Rights Day
2009-12-10 22:02:00
What is more disturbing than the disappearance of a famous human rights activist on the human rights day in his way to celebrate the international event ?? May be a family that does not know what really happened to to that man for years !! I do not think that there will be  a perfect time  to discuss Mansour El-Kekhia?s disappearance than the international human rights day , after all the human rights activist Kekhia disappeared on the 10th of December 1993 , the human rights day in Cairo near from his hotel. Just like the murder of David Holden , it is not a pure 100% Egypt ian X-File , it is an Egyptian-Arab X-File with the following two facts : Dr. El-Kekhia is a Libyan and he disappeared with no trace in Egypt. El-Kekhia disappearance could be considered the tip of the ice-berg in the political personalities disappearance related to the Libyan regime. No one can compete El-Kekhia in his media impact and coverage except Musa El-Sadr . Strangely Musa El-Sadr disappearanc...

ElBaradei : No Party For Me
2009-12-10 22:00:00
Mohamed ElBaradei has made it clear in Al Masry Al Youm : He will not represent any party in the coming presidential elections. He will run as an independent presidential candidate and I think it is logic because he demanded a constitutional amendment that allows all citizens to run for the post with no partisan background and all those impossible conditions in infamous 76 article ; the longest article in our constitution !! This makes me so happy because representing any current party in Egypt will weaken his cause. We all know that these parties are not real parties in the first place and he even said so in his short interview , even that constitutional party which I have never heard about before !!  Dr.ElBaradei said that he wants to change the constitution along with the people peacefully. By the way Al Dostor claimed that ElBaradei would arrive to Egypt yesterday and that it was a matter of hours when he starts the real battle ; well I waited for him all day long and he d...

An Egyptian Blogger Loses His Job Because of His Blog

Reda exposed the current ongoing corruption in the company online in his blog ?Scream? and on the facebook where he was calling for workers? union. ?Petrotrade? is a public company and it bothers me to find it suffers from corruption because in the end of the day this is our money which is being stolen. Do Not Blame The Jews, Blame Yourself
2009-09-23 22:39:00
Farouk Hosni is back and he is whining like a lady on the conspiracies made by the Jews of the world against him as Egyptian, Arab,Muslim !!   It was clear by the end of the competition that there was a conspiracy against me There are a group of the world's Jews who had a major influence in the elections who were a serious threat to Egypt taking this position !! Strangely from two weeks ago he was trying to show the world that he is the best friend the Jews have ever got , it is ironic , is not it !!?? Now Farouk Hosni is turned in to a national hero who lost because of the west and the Jewish lobby , I could not believe myself to find a number of the so-called nationalist writers and intellectuals standing behind him against this plot even the Muslim brotherhood !!?? I understand their position from Zionism but I can?t understand their position from Hosni who has been always accused to be pro-Israeli and Pro-western not to mention his long history in the Mubarak r...

Breaking News : Farouk Hosni Lost The Elections
2009-09-22 23:02:00
Yes boys and girls Farouk Hosni has lost the UNESCO elections in front of Bulgarian Irina Bokova who has become the first woman to head the international organization :) Farouk got 27 votes and Irina got 30 in the final fifth vote. Now there is uncertain news that they busted some member in the Egyptian delegation trying to bribe the delegates , the sum they are speaking about is $50,000 !! Now I wonder if Farouk Hosni will be a man of his word and resigns as he promised to do or he will resign and Mubarak will not accept it as usual or he won?t resign and stays in his position !! Man I am so happy but I am sad on that money spent on his campaign and the humiliation and comprises Egypt had to pay all those month to win the minds and hearts of the United States and Israel. Of course he will return and keep bitching about how biased the UNESCO committee is to stand with an European woman and not with an Egyptian Arab Muslim man and surely the official media will go on with him compl...

A Tie For Hosni
2009-09-22 15:43:00
Now it is either Egyptian ?unfortunately? Farouk Hosni and Bulgarian Irina Bokova after their tie in yesterday?s fourth round in UNESCO elections for 29-29 votes. The last 48 hours were tense for Hosni , after all what he got 4 votes compared to Bokova who got 16 votes. The United States and France for sure are standing behind her along with the Europe an countries that believe Hosni does not deserve this important cultural position. The international press continues its attack on Hosni who always felt that the national press was attacking him , let him taste the really media attack is ,  French Le Monde attacked him and NY Times introduced a new disturbing unknown fact to the Western reader about Hosni : While being the Egyptian cultural attaché in Rome, he helped to organize the escape from Italy in 1985 of the hijackers of the Italian cruise ship Achille Lauro !! This  fact was taken from an Elaph?s website article that I can?t determine whether it is with or agains...

Why Do I Smell A Conspiracy In This !!??
2009-09-22 13:30:00
Yesterday I was shocked to find a photo in Al Dostor newspaper?s first page for kids inside the rare birds cage in the Giza Zoo !! One of these kids was carrying a very rare  peacock in his hand as if he was holding a chicken or something !! Terrible photos and terrible start for the morning after being sick for the past 2 day !! The report spoke also about the poor salaries of the guards who can?t protect the cages from similar attacks , after all they take only about LE 240 monthly /LE 8 per day ? $44 per month/$1.45 per day !!? , how will they protect the cages !!?? The newspaper goes today with its reports on that black day in the Zoo with experts warning that the day will come and we will find lions roaming in our streets !!?? Not to mention the diseases the animals they will transfer !! Strangely the Zoo had much more animals in the past and they did not transfer any disease to anyone !!?? Honestly I do not know why I feel or I smell a conspiracy theory in this scand...

Do Not Blame It On The Pigs
2009-09-22 10:30:00
Michael Slackman has decided that the latest garbage problem in Egypt is the result of Mubarak?s decision to kill all the pigs despite the direct reason ?which he mentioned in his report in a fast reference if I may say" is the disagreement between the foreign garbage companies and the governorates. Just put things straight here I would to mention some points : The main reason of this problem is the disagreement between the foreign garbage companies with the governorates. Another main reason to be honest is how our government is dealing with the crisis, if the government wants really to solve this problem ,it could do ; after all when Gamal Mubarak visited Agouza, the streets had been cleaned for him and I saw it by my own eyes !! Sometimes this regime like previous regimes creates crisis for its own people to make them busy from things that really matters. Not all the pigs were killed , this is a fact Mr.Slackman forgot to mention , for some reason suddenly the decision was froz...

Laila Abdel Salam Speaks For The First Time on TV
2009-09-22 10:12:00
Honestly I wish that Mona El-Shazely did that interview with Laila Abdel aka the Real Samia Fahmy who is currently working in Al Ahrar newspaper. Laila Abdel Salam speaks with Amr Adib along Ambassador Dr.Rafaat El-Ansari who had his share in the real spies war. Ambassador El-Ansari has very interesting story which insh Allah will be featured in Egyptian Chronicles after my recovery ;) She revealed more information about her story which is simple and so short , her trip in Italy , it only took about a month or even less to arrest Mario , the Spy of Israel in Egypt , yes he was not in Rome but in Egypt. By the way here is Laila in early 1970s, she looked like Nahed El-Sharif more than Menna Shalby if I may say.

The Next Minister Of Culture Will Be?
2009-09-21 18:44:00
There are too much speculations about who the next minister of culture will be if heavens forbid Farouk Hosni wins the UNESCO elections and even if he does not win , the sources of Egypt ian Chronicles say that he may resign for real this time. I got three names and three different scenarios related to each other somehow : Mohamed  Salmaway : The current editor of Chief of Al Ahram Hebdo and the heads of the writers? union , the Orientation of the ministry won?t be different than Honsi?s time. ?It is something well known? Dr. Zahi Hawas : He will not head the ministry of culture but the newly found ministry of antiquities , there are rumors that either the ministry of culture will be cancelled and replaced by the supreme council of Culture or it will continue as it is either with Salmaway or someone else. Dr. Mohamed Kamal : I told you that the famous NDP figure is a candidate for a ministerial position before !! Gamal Mubarak?s aide will surely change the policies...

The Key To Qaddafi?s Personality
2009-09-21 13:18:00
I know that I am lazy and I should have written this post from couple of weeks ago when the Fath so called Revolution 40th celebrations were the talk of world after all it was not usual to see all those guests especially from the west celebrating with Qaddafi , the same man they fought for 40 years. 40 Years had passed and the Libyan policies have been changing in the same way the moods of Qaddafi have been, from socialism to capitalism, from East to West , from Arab nationalism to Africa n nationalism, from a colonel who downed a monarchy to the king of kings of Africa. Of course in this year?s celebration the main focus Qaddafi as it has always been in the past 40 years in Libya. To understand the key of this man?s personality who many consider mad , we must go back to history but I must tell you that this an is not mad as you may think. It was well known and documented that when Qaddafi led his coup against the As-Senussi Royal Family in 1969 President Nasser congratulated th...

She Needs Your Prayers
2009-09-21 13:04:00
Former Princess Ferial Farouk is currently in a critical condition in Switzerland , she needs our prayers now so much more than any time. I know for sometime now that she fought cancer for a while in her life where she conquered it with a very high price : part of her digestive system was removed :( . For some reason it was not declared ; may be because she considered something personal and I respected this decision from her side . Yet unfortunately it seems that in the past few weeks the cancer has returned back in vengeance. She has returned back to her simple home in Switzerland after being in the hospital , she is currently 24/7 medical surveillance. The former princess had visited Egypt earlier this year and made an interview with Ahmed El-Muslamany which I am currently looking for to post here. Ferial Farouk needs your prayers now , this woman had seen a lot and remember she went and other Republican princesses came and enjoyed the wealth of this country more than any ...

Another Blow To Independence Judicial System Movement in Egypt
2009-09-20 13:51:00
I am still shocked and I can?t understand or classify what has happed except that it is another blow to the independence of the Judicial system movement in Egypt : The famous and honorable Judge Mahmoud El-Hadiry has resigned from his position as the vice head of the cassation court  !! Judge El-Hadiry known for his support to the independence of Judicial system movement in Egypt is also the head of the Judges? club in Alexandria. This resignation comes after 46 years of working in the judicial system in Egypt , 20 years of them were in the cassation court ,Egypt?s finest and highest court !! The main reason behind this sudden resignation is the objection on the intervention of the regime in the judicial system !! I respect this reason very much but with my all due admiration to the honorable ex-judge move ,the regime will welcome this resignation so much because it does not want these types of judges working in the current system , men like El-Hadiry are like obstacles i...
