No more Future TV for Now
2008-05-09 10:34:00 OK Future TV of El-Hariri in Lebanon , the very famous Future TV is controlled now by Hezbollah elements ,oh yes they invaded it , it turned out that the journalists in Future Media group "Newspaper,Radio and TV" were ordered by the army to clear the Premises for security reason ,also to stop the broadcast of their radio and TV channels temporarily . there is no signal in the NIleSat whether for Future TV or Future News , surely terrestrial channels are also stopped. Future TV is from the oldest channels on the Nile and Arab Sat since the 1990s , its fame started with the coverage of the Qana first massacre in 1996. Then later the channel became popular in the Arab world for presenting light TV shows like Mesho , Zahi Wahbi show "I do not know what his position now as he is from the South and from the friends of Hassan Nasrallah" and Super Star "The Arabic version of American idol" This is a slap to Future and the 14th of March , already I knew... Hassan Nasrallah press conference
2008-05-08 19:41:00 Wow I have just finished watching the Press Conference of Hassan Nasrallah , the head of Hezbollah in Beirut . Again and again I will tell you that this man knows how to speak in a speech , he was clear as usual and controversial as usual. "Sorry my PC crashed several times" He said what can be considered ultimatum to the government that he called "Walid Jonbalt"' government along with the rest of the 14th March that he would cut the hand which will try to get to the resistance weaponry "Hezbollah weaponry" even if it were the hand of his father. To be honest it was not the only ultimatum in the press conference today , he said warnings more that ultimatums in fact The first warning and the most important one was indirect message to Israel and the IDF that the party is ready to go to war in two fronts , with Israel and with Israel allies in Lebanon . Nasrallah revealed that the party put a group of scenarios for a possible Israeli attack as a... More About: Regional , Press Conference
To clarify something about Beirut riots
2008-05-08 17:33:00 I am noticing something that the media in the west and east are ignoring the economic factor in the Lebanese issue. people do not understand that the majority of Shiites in Lebanon are from the Blue collar working classes whether from the farmers or from the labours. The last economic decisions to raise the price of fuel and diesel in Lebanon just like another Egypt made this class extremely angry especially their wages were the same ,even after the very fast small raise the cabinet had decided from two days before the protests. The Cabinet decided to raise the minimum wages to become $US 500 , useless raise in front of continuous rising prices. Again this protests were not planned by Hezbollah and allies but it was planned by the Lebanese Labour Unions on objection of the very low minimum wages there , it was planned right after the Mahalla Strike. Hezbollah and allies sponsored it as another means to form a pressure on this cabinet and force it to leave after its provoking dec... More About: Economy , Regional , Beirut , Arab

From Mahalla to Beirut ; more than a strike , more than a protest
2008-05-07 20:04:00 I think no one imagined things would be go this route in Beirut ,in today's labour strike and protest except of course who planned to make this way . I mean it is a decision taken in the moment to bring your weapons and start attacking the others in the protests or strike just like this , especially when it involves guns, rifles,Molotov and RBG !!No to mention the army presence !! It is more than usual riots of angry blue collars for sure and because it is Lebanon you should know that this is another round between the on going the opposition and the cabinet. It took an ugly form that reminded the people of Beirut with the civil war ,I know a friend of a friend who told her online that she hided in her bathroom along with her kids when she saw the two fighting parties with big guns in the street, It is enough to see the images to make you feel that you are back again In Beirut of the civil war . Fires every where , the way to the airport was closed and cut , the scene of young ci... More About: Regional , Protest , Strike
Baby Osama bin Laden
2008-05-07 15:37:00 Guess who is that cheerful baby ?? He was Osama Bin Laden ; the most wanted man in the world , the leader of the terrorist group Al Qaida and here is the photo of his father Mohamed Bin Laden and his mother Hamida Al-Attas, oh yes his mother I think they did not know what was hidden in the future for their little baby. His father looked like a real Yemeni person , where as his mother reminds me with Famous Egyptian star diva Sohair El-Babaly in 1970s . He looks his dad more , in fact all the Bin Laden offspring looks like big Bin Laden , Ysalem and his crazy daughter look like him. Hamida was the tenth wife of Bin Laden , she divorced him after Osama's birth , she is Syrian from Latakia.I do not know if she is alive or not Here was Osama with the rest of Bin Laden Clan in 1970 in Sweden and here is an image for another two Bin Ladens in Saudi Arab ia , I think they are other half brothers of Osama, I do not know their names. The First Egyptian Cartoon
2008-05-06 18:20:00 This is the oldest animation in the history of Egyptian Cinema. Historically the art of animation began in Egypt in 1935 by the Brothers Frankel, who managed despite the limited technical potential to produce many of the business and made the first Cartoon Egyptian Character Mishmesh Effendi They carried out many cinematic tricks, which were very advanced then, like the integration movement of living with frees animation. I found this animation through my dear Friend Sherif Naguib who closed his blog unfortunately , but thank God for the Facebook , Sherif found it by his turn in a group called Animation department , the video is owned by Tohamy Mohamed Tohamy. Please enjoy it :) Technorati Tags: Egypt,History ,Cartoons,Cinema,Arts,Animat ion,1935,1938,Brothers Frankel,Culture ,Media ,Video ,Facebook,Arab s,Middle East,Africa
What went wrong in the 4th of May Strike ??
2008-05-05 20:25:00 There is nothing wrong in you dummies , there is something wrong in the system A Cultural Film "Film Thakafy" Ok the 4th of May came and it did not go as we all hoped , it was not as we all expected whether from people who too much hope on it or from the regime that put the worst scenario in its mind for it. This strike is not a success like last 6th of April by all measures , still it scored some points. Again it proved how frightened the regime is from any public agreement on moving against it and the evidence is the campaign that started since 6 April when this strike was announced in the facebook, the evidence is the respond I found here in the poll and also in my Arabic blog poll from a support on the net. Also it proved that many people want an end for this era , want the better for this country and are total discontent with the level it reached to , it is not about food international prices crisis , it is more than that . I was having hope... More About: Politics , National , Egypt , Democracy , Wrong

When Blogging saves a life
2008-05-05 10:40:00 It seems the Egyptian bloggers are not leading the change in their country only but also the Saudi bloggers have their share too. Blogging opened a new vent to Saudis to express themselves in a country and society that are from the oldest dictatorships in the Arab world. I think blogging came in the right time for Saudi younger generations just like us , a new vent especially for the young ladies. I will not going to speak more but I mention a little incident that shows that blogging can do something , can reach something socially. There is a Saudi female blogger called Hadeel , a novelist who is popular among the Saudi blogsphere ,this young lady from 10 days ago became very ill and entered a coma suddenly , her father the writer Mohamed El-Khadeif called the Saudi Red Crescent ambulance ,the medics told him that she should immediately enter a hospital to the Incentive Care, they took her to several governmental hospital that refused to take her in either because there was no... 2008-05-04 17:49:00 May be there were no protests in Cairo , but there was a protest in Beirut for sure , that reminded me how much Mubarak is popular outside Egypt Here are photos from the protests of today from Souwar , a Marxist from Lebanon It is great , in fact it is the first of its kind in the history of Egypt , usually our embassies and presidents are called names because of the President's foreign policies towards this country or this , not because his internal policies. I love the picture where the Lebanese security officer takes the Mubarak Mask , I was surprised in fact. In Jordan things are bit different , I received news that it is not so different in Egypt and there are several arrest campaign , my dear Jordanian friends you I need a confirmation. Anyhow if the Jordanian Regime began to imitate its Egyptian buddy the results can be bad ,it will enter them to dark road !! Follow Up : The day of the strike ; the birthday was a normal day
2008-05-04 17:18:00 Ok guys here are the latest updates from Cairo and also from Egypt in the 4th of May strike , the birthday of the President. I did update anything since the morning till I reached because I did not find anything worth for posting at least till 12 AM when the news of Mahalla began to come. This was a normal work day for the Egyptians in the capital , I do not know about the universities or the other Governates but in Giza and Cairo , it was a normal. People went to their work after a whole week vacation with headaches from coming back. I heard news about two demos . The First one was cracked by the NDP thugs in front of the Lawyers Syndication downtown , some activists tried to organized but there were too small in number and the police was quick enough to act. The second surprisingly took place in Shobra ,oh yes Shobra , the famous populated Shobra , no further information about it is available to me right now. It was reported that the anti Forces were present ext... More About: National , Democracy , Birthday , Strike
Disabling Vodafone SMS in Egypt !!??
2008-05-03 20:24:00 Please read this post from My Life thinking. I am afraid it is true , there had been news circulating saying that the regime ordered the three mobile phone operators in Egypt either to cancel all the accounts with unregistered data especially in Mobinil and Vodafone or to close the SMS service for these accounts. The regime wants to crack down tomorrow's strike as much as they can. Strangely this regime does not understand that when people want to do something they do not actually need hi-tech , I mean in 1919 Egyptians rebelled against the British forces from the Aswan to Alexandria with out having facebook nor Internet nor mobile phone , they did not even have radio and illiteracy was the highest in Egypt , still they made a real revolution that forced the British to declare the Egyptian independence in 1923 despite it was not a complete independence still it was a great and inspiring achievement. 2008-05-03 14:28:00 Look if you are bored with these posts about the missing Badr I vessel , I would like to remind you that the families of crew till this moment do not know anything about their men up till this moment. These are the last updates about the vessel that is missing since the 13th of January 2008. The owner from two days ago claimed that he received a fax from some fishermen saying that that they had seen the vessel in Mohammed Jul area in Sudanese water , this strange because already from two months there was news that the vessel was there ,already this is an area for the Sudanese navy But then the owner came and said that he received another fax from the same fishermen saying that the vessel was seen near Jizan at KSA !! and what is doing in KSA ??? Is the crew decided to move around in the red sea?? again where is the Egyptian navy from all this drama ?? Follow Up : Pre the 4th of May ,the day before the storm
2008-05-03 11:54:00 Again the regime is giving the strike a success certificate even before it starts with its fear and pre-attack. It is 24 hours before the second strike on the birthday of Mubarak. Press Round: Today I found Al Ahram newspaper in the first page publishing this piece saying "4 th of May a day for the nation !!" calling to make this day , a day for hard work and production , man I thought these terms were the 1960s socialist days in Egypt . Al Ahram starting from tomorrow will publish a supplement , the annual supplement in Mubarak's birthday about his achievements !! The Chief in editor of Al Ahram who is a NDPian by the way described the Egyptian youth in his page yesterday as rude and were not raised on good manners , that they are from wealthy classes whose parents did not teach them manners what so ever because they were busy collecting fortunes thanks to Mubarak welfare economic policies !! Islam does not say throw your baby from 12th floor !!??
2008-05-03 10:55:00 In the last 24 hours there was a Reuters video that is circulating the Internet from serious news Websites like CNN to gossip website like TMZ and multi blog Websites like the Huffington Post . It was a bout a strange ritual the Muslim Indians at western India at the shrine of in Solapur in the city of Maharastra "I think in the city of Ajmer , which is very holy for the Muslims there for unknown reason to me " where they throw their babies off the shrine as they believe it will improve their babies health. The ritual has been practiced for 600 years ago and they say that there was no accident happened . Look now it is an open season for all those who want to attack and trash Islam and Muslims , I read some comments that made write this post as soon as possible. Here is the videoI am a practicing Muslim and I know my religion very well. There is nothing in Islam from near or far that says you can throw your child from 50 feet tower to improve his or her health. This ritual is local on... More About: Video , Religion , Media , Baby
Disqus and blogger
2008-05-03 10:34:00 First I hope that the blogger.com team reads this post Second I respect very and thank them for the new features they add to blogger.com Now to the main topic of this post, from two weeks ago I stopped at a blog whose comment section was different to me , it did not look like any comment section I knew whether in blogger.com or in wordpress or in Typepad or in blogspirit , it was different , at first I thought it could be something similar like Cocomment , as it has similar features but I was wrong. That comment section was a disqus commenting system, a new web service that gives more control on comments in your blog than you imagine. It substitutes the commenting system of your platform with its commenting system. I was surprised with the features of the service including moderation and blocking and that it can substitute the blogger.com commenting system. Down with the Facebook
2008-05-02 16:50:00 The Facebook now is the official enemy of state. The blogs are no longer the danger on the State but it is the Facebook. Last week most if not all the official publications in the Arab Republic of Egypt opened their fire on the Facebook as a danger on the national security , danger on our identity and danger on our morals sending several indirect messages like calling for a ban and scaring the average Egyptian Joe from using it. Al Ahram daily weekly edition on Friday the 2nd of May 2008 published a whole page trashing "The Facebook" in the most worse week using big language against those who use it from youth ; ironically it is not only youth who are using it !! Well of course it is too late because Facebook is the new black now in the Egyptian society , I think I spoke about this before. The regime was surprised to find that the Facebook was much more dangerous from its point of view than blogs The last 6 April strike was organized and known to the public through ... The Arabs in Time 100
2008-05-02 12:25:00 Ok folks it is our annual date with the Time 100 list , the most influential people in the year 2008 . This year there is no Egyptian in the list but there are Arabs . Here are the Arabs who made it this year: "arranged respectively" 1- Muqtada Al-Sadr in rank No.13 : Whether you like him or not , he is giving the Americans hard time in Iraq "The profile is written by General Ricardo Sanchez" 2-Sheikh Mohammed Al-Maktoum in rank no.30 : To tell the truth ,I do not like this man , I do not know why , yes Dubai is great and so on but after several incidents like the French boy and also a similar Case of an Egyptian lady "The profile is written by Scott Macleod, Egypt and Middle East correspondent of Time Magazine" 3- Madeeha Hasan Odhaib in rank no.32 : I have never heard about this astonishing Iraqi woman , I think what she had done shows that there is still hope in Iraq "The profile is written by Queen Rania of Jordan" 4- Ali Al Naimi... Follow Up : The 4th of May strike
2008-05-01 21:04:00 Ok ladies and gentlemen, It is only 2 days from the anticipated event in the middle east : The strike of the Egypt ian people on the birthday of their President. As you know the strike of the 4th of May crossed the borders to evolve from national in to regional strike as there are Jordanians who are calling for a Strike on the 4th of May and the Lebanese who are calling for a Strike on the 6th of May. Well now there are other Lebanese workers groups calling for a protest on the 4th of May 2008 in solidarity with the Egyptian people in front of our Egyptian embassy in Beirut 1 PM BLT till 4PM. Here is the event page in the Facebook. Oh baby let's go loud and loud , a regional strike ,wow By the way I think the Egyptian communities abroad will do something similar from protests in front of our embassies and consulates around the Globe. I think our embassies used to this ,especially the one in South Korea . On the other hand the indirect official media , that's newspap... More About: Politics , National , Lebanon , Regional
Mubarak's life in a Radio Show
2008-05-01 18:31:00 This is totally new and unique , another level of hypocrisy. The national radio is going to represent in this weekend a Radio show about Mubarak's life in the occasion of his birthday on the next 4th of May "it will be on hell of birthday for sure". For the first time an actor will portray the current president of Egypt and this actor is Nour EL-Sherif , I do not know who will have the honour to portray the first lady or Alaa Mubarak but I know that Gamal Mubarak will be portray by famous TV actor Ahmed Abd El-Aziz ; quite interesting is n't it ?? It is strange because the man is still alive and they began to make Radio Shows about him , you know it could be a bad omen too !!!! I do not know what they are going to say in this biography !!?? At the gun point
2008-05-01 14:43:00 I can't believe that we reached to this level that a police officer sexually assaulted a woman using his gun. Already I am surprised that this case did not make the headlines in the newspapers despite its sensitivity. I am happy that the police officer took 25 years in jail still I am mad that it won't be implemented because he is not found till now , it is an absentia rule :( The disadvantage of absentia rule on a serious criminal charge (rather than a misdemeanour) is that if the criminal is located and arrested this court sentence will be cancelled and the case will be re-tried !! The police should treat this case not as the case of a policeman , but as rapist who should be arrest immediately , they should search for him to become the real administrative tool that obey the law and rules of the judicial system. They should arrest him because he is the real danger on police reputation , they should arrest him because he represented all that against what the real police fo... The LSD inventor passes away
2008-04-30 22:32:00 Albert Hofmann , the Swiss Chemist who discovered the LSD had passed away in his country in the age of 108. I think that he did not know how danger the substance he discovered suddenly would be and that it would destroy a whole generation , sorry generations. He used to defend and argue till his last day in Life that LSD is not that bad and it is fine as a treatment for psychological diseases and disorders despite what it causes from psychological diseases and disorders itself. I think Albert Hofmann was a lucky one because there are many drugs in the world we do not know who invented them still may be because this man did not intend to invent a destructive drug that would destroy a whole generation just like Alfred Noble , still he did not regret it or was sorry for how his discovery had a bad effect. I found an American magazine in my grand dad's library which was dated to August 1966 I think , it was called Pageant , it had many interesting topics regarding the War of...
