RIP Ambassador Riyad Sami
2009-12-20 23:04:00 Ambassador Riyad Sami "1920-2009", the former secretary of General Mohamed Naguib , the first president of Egypt has passed away last week in silence. Ambassador Sami did a great job to this nation by publishing all what he had witnessed in his short service with President Naguib in his valuable book ?I was witness on President Naguib?s era? Even after the coup of President Naguib , Ambassador Sami was more than faithful to President Naguib till his death visiting him frequently in his exile. Even after his death , the man worked very hard to remind us about a man called Naguib. Thank you Ambassador Riyad Sami , may you rest in Peace and May Allah bless your soul More About: Politics , National , History
Mr.President Please Tear Down This Wall
2009-12-20 09:35:00 At first I did not want to believe the news despite all the indicators showed it was true : Mubarak?s regime which represents and rules Egypt is building an iron wall in the borders between Egypt and Gaza in order to stop the smuggling in to the sector Here is the undisputed proof : A photo from this ugly iron wall under construction. I do not have to guess from where that steel came from : Ezz Steel. I am not convinced with all those fake justification about sovereignty , again where is our sovereignty when Egyptians and tourists were kidnapped from our territories !!?? Where is our sovereignty when we are being humiliated by Prince Turk Al Soud and his notorious wife !!?? The word ?Sovereignty? provokes me nowadays because simply we do not enjoy it anymore thanks to this regime so please enough of the sovereignty talk , let?s be honest and say that this wall is made for Israel?s security by America n and French recommendations. I know you will wonder ?French?, what broug... More About: Politics , Europe , Media , National
Nawal Zeinab Saadawi 2011
2009-12-20 08:20:00 Nawal Saadawi?s supporters and fans want her to run for Presidency again in 2011 . There is a group in Facebook calling her to run for the post and also calling for People's support. It is strange especially that the woman has not hinted from near or far her intention to run for presidency in this election unlike Dr. ElBaradei for example. With my all due respect I do not see or imagine Nawal as a President , in fact she knows that very well too but as I said before it is all about the media coverage which will give her an opportunity to express her ideas in public more and more. It is like the last time she announced that she would run for presidency. I respect her call for a civilian secular society despite I am disagree in certain points wit her , I also respect the loyalty of her fans and supporters but we must be more realistic. Unfortunately Nawal Saadawi is considered a crazy old woman in the eyes of the majority in Egypt , I am talking about average Moham... More About: Politics , Media , Women , National
Mubarak and COP 15
2009-12-19 22:58:00 President Mubarak was supposed to attend COP 15 among the 100 leaders from around the globe, it was mentioned in his official schedule for his trip abroad earlier from two weeks that he would visit France , Turkey and Denmark to attend COP 15 but suddenly Denmark was scrapped off his visit and he visited France and Turkey only then returned back home !! Why did not he go to COP 15 ?? I think Global warming is very a major issue or rather major threat not to the whole world only but to Egypt too which is a part of this world not to mention global warming is threatening us by losing the whole Nile Delta if we do not start acting from now. Of course I bet that the entourage did not tell him about the last part for sure. I am really puzzled on why he did not go !!?? I do not think that it has to do with the infamous Danish cartoon crisis but I wish it has nothing to do with his health either but thing it will be very bad for us just like for him. Seriously why did not he go ?... More About: Politics , America , Europe , Media , Health
RIP Hassan El-Toha?amy
2009-12-19 15:00:00 It is strange thing that this man most people do not know his role in Egypt ?s political except very few despite he was a loud person or rather an eccentric person. Hassan El-Toha?amy?s role in Egypt started with the revolution or coup of 1952 till camp David. He was close to the United States and Miles Copland because he could not stomach the infidel communists in the USSR. He was the man that brought those millions of dollars to construct the Cairo tower. He was the man that met Moshe Dayan in Morocco secretly , the special envoy to negotiate with the Israel is when we had no negotiations secretly. The man was an X-File himself for sure. May be his strange eccentric personality is behind this neglect , if you read his story well , if you hear it from him or from those who worked with him you will be puzzled and wondered how a strange man like him reached to this position , confident position in those critical times of our national history. Some people will even wonder how Nasser ... More About: Politics , National , History
The Ugly Egyptian
2009-12-19 12:43:00 The latest crisis between Egypt and Algeria showed how many people whether in the Arab world or the rest of the world think about us and it is not positive : We are liars , poor, pathetic, rude, loud , arrogant, pimps, whores ,dirty , ignorant ,thieves , illiterate who never had new kind of achievement in their miserable life and probably the world will be better place without us. We are a dictatorship with a media control , we are a country with high rate of sexual harassment , unemployment , poverty and illiteracy ?despite the fact that it has declined to 26%? . We are the friends of America and Israel who did not win a single war ; we do not have a specific independence day now like other countries despite the fact our official independence is on the 22nd of February 1922 even if it were not complete independence but at least it was recorded in history that our 1919 revolution had inspired other countries to follow our path including the Indian independence movement ... Why Does Israel Want Our Shit !!??
2009-12-16 17:45:00 The minister of irrigation and water resources Mahmoud Allam stated from couple of days that Egypt has declined a generous offer from Israel : They want to import our wastewater !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes Israel wanted to import our waste water and we refused its generous offer. Of course many people will be puzzled and wonder ? Why does Israel want our shit ??? Well actually it does not want our shit only but all our wastewater and they want it for irrigation as 70% of of Israel's irrigated agriculture is based on highly purified wastewater according to Wikipedia. It is not a secret that Israel wanted before the Nile Water and as a country it has its water problems that can lead in to a war in the region of its own. Of course I am guessing , already I do not know what they will do with our wastewater for real as it is huge quantity of wastewater for sure !! I do not know why Israel wants to import our wastewater and in Jordan is much nearer to it. This shows us how we are having huge ... More About: Politics , Economy , Environment , Nature , National
A Revolt in Hagana
2009-12-16 00:04:00 Ezabat Al-Hagana is just an area from the various areas you do not usually hear about in the media despite its catchy name. We suddenly found ourselves today in front of huge war in it between the people from one side and the government represented in Police forces from another side. It turned out that the government started in demolishing the houses of those people living in this area , the government began to demolish about 28 residential towers ?not really towers? in this area because they suddenly found they were registered after a whole decade !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????? ????????????By the way this number seems to be untrue because the residents are speaking more than 28 buildings are to be demolished. I began to read about this crisis which seems to be going for a while , it seems that the government wants to transfer the shanty towns residents to this area and do not ask me how if this area is fully occupied !!I also read from the residents of the area that th... We Are A Nation Good At Destroying Its Heroes
2009-12-14 23:01:00 I do not think that I imagined that I would read this news today across the Arab world : Djamila Bouhired has sent an open letter to the Algerian State and people to help her in her illness. The famous Arab nationalist heroine of 1960s who became a symbol of independence in the whole Arab world is begging from the Algerian government !! The woman is asking the government to help her especially as a woman of national pride and dignity she refused aids from the Gulf :( It is not only her in Algeria , she has brothers in Egypt from 1973 Suez resistance veterans whose pension is disgrace forcing them to work as drivers on micro-buses in Suez. Those veterans stood against Sharon for weeks defending our dignity !! In fact she has brothers and sisters across the Arab world , those who did not think too long when they gave their lives to the nation but the nation is thinking too long to give them back what they do deserve. Man we are so similar more than I can imagine , our heroes wh... More About: Society , Media , Women , History , Heroes

To Our Embassy in Damascus
2009-12-14 00:04:00 This is for our embassy in Damascus , I know that our Embassies are made abroad for other proposes than to stand with Egypt ians in trouble but this is too much. Syria News published a story of an Egyptian lady living in Syria after being divorced for not having Children. This lady Mrs. Mahasan has lost her sight and she also lost contact with her family in Egypt , she did not receive any thing from them for the last 15 years. After her divorce she worked in hotels and houses as a cleaning lady before of course losing her sight. She lives alone in total poverty in mount Qasioun. Mahasan is a very poor lady who seemed to be from the unfortunate uneducated class in Egypt who find a goods opportunity in a foreign husband to their daughters regardless of what their daughters can meet in the future. Mahasan needs a doctor and a ticket to Egypt where she can find her family. Shall dare and ask about our honorable embassy in Damascus !!?? I hope that Mrs. Mahasan did ... A Prime Minister of An Arab Country
2009-12-13 10:47:00 I think Saad Al Hariri is the youngest prime minister in the Arab world and he will not be that good like the rest of his counterparts in the Arab world too. Please watch this video below from his speech in front of the Lebanese parliament after the long birth of his cabinet. The prime minister of Lebanon can?t read Arabic right !!?? This video is making fun of him with scene from the famous 1970s play ?The Children have grown up? where Said Saleh reads the letter from his father?s mistress and can?t complete it because he can?t read actually!! I love Nabih Barry Mr.Prime minister do you want someone else to complete reading the speech !!?? And I Was Right?
2009-12-12 23:26:00 I was right when I said there is something going on in Algeria and the Algerian regime is using the game to divert the people?s attention from something sinister as it is the habit in the third world countries. I was right but I could never ever have imagined what that sinister thing is , it is beyond the usual hereditary scenario . Qatari Al Jazeera is reporting that an Algerian dissident has exposed an America n-Algerian agreement to host temporary American bases in the Algerian territories. Algerian political dissident Mohamed El-Arabi Zaiout claimed that the Algerian government used the game to reach for a final agreement with the Americans as they used to refuse hosting permanent bases. They had secret negotiations for months or even for years as the Americans wanted to use more than jails and torture in North Africa especially in the French influence territories. Zaiot claims that the Algerian regime has three terms from its side in order to host the American army tempora... More About: Politics , Media , Sports

A Death In House of Al Assad
2009-12-12 17:25:00 Earlier today SANA reported Majd Al Assad , the younger brother of Syria n President Bashar Al Assad has passed away after suffering from a Chronic disease. Majd was suffering from this disease for years. He was married for 15 years but had no children. He was 40 years old according to the news reports coming from Damascus. He was graduated from the faculty of economics and political science , Damascus university. I think his illness made him a media shy personality comparing by his siblings. By the way there were rumors circulating in the Syrian opposition websites that Majd was suffering from some psychological disease that forced him to avoid public. I think he is the first man from the right He will be buried tomorrow at the family cemetery in Qaradha beside his brother and father. May God bless his soul , this is what I can say. Has He Ever Been To Beirut Or Tehran ??
2009-12-12 13:32:00 I think you should read this at Jad Aoun?s Lebanon News: Under Rug Swept. Mr. Holger Awakens has never been to Beirut and Tehran and yet he believes they are so bad to the level he believes that sort of violence which is normal scene in the night clubs only to be seen in these two cities because of the difference in political regimes and ideologies !!!?? If I were from Mr. Awakens I would first search in the history of those two old great cities and I would read blogs about these two cities to see what my media does not show me because of some political agenda and then I would think if I should refer about these cities in this ill way. Here are two nice blogs about Beirut and Tehran which Holger does not know and does not want they do exist : Blogging Beirut and Tehran 24. Mohamed ElBaradei : 1St Edition Interview ?Part 1?
2009-12-12 09:44:00 Here is the first part of Mohamed ElBaradei?s interview with El-Moslamany in Vienna during last summer. ElBaradei spoke about many things and many issues in Egypt in specific and in the Arab world in general despite he was being asked very few questions compared to his long answers. He spoke about the revolution and its principles which he really wished that they had been fulfilled , he spoke about the cons of Nasser rule and he spoke about the six days war , which he believes that we are still suffering from its impacts up till now Historically he mentioned stuff ordinary people in Egypt do not know about regarding what happened backstage in UN between the Egyptian delegation which he was a member in and the US delegation right after the start of War by 24 hours , also this UN resolution the Arab world managed to down despite it may have been in their sake !!?I expect that these two incidents will cause a debate in Egypt. Another Apparition
2009-12-11 18:05:00 Yesterday was a big night at Al-Waraq as it was reported that the Virgin Mary suddenly appeared there at night , you can see a video taken by a mobile phone from someone who was there and recorded a part of the big night . People were shouting ?Film it , film it? and then they began to shout the famous football cheer ?Look and watch what the Virgin does !!??? I Do Not Love You Showtime Orbit
2009-12-11 11:18:00 Showtime Orbit is going to air ?I love you Man? on Showtime Cinema TV Max for this week to its subscribers , I do not know if the network knows the controversy it has caused last year as it contained an insult to late President Sadat and currently Ruqaya El-Sadat is suing the film and is planning to sue the production company in the States too.?I love the part where she said it is film for gays which was peeped in the TV show for unknown reason? Showtime does not edit or cut anything from the films they show on their channels and thus those two insulting scenes in the film will be aired again across the Arab world. The Showtime network used to be more wise than this , it is enough that up till now they do not dare to air ?Brokeback mountain? and this shows they know and understand very well the culture of the region and what should be aired and what should not be aired. Egyptian X-Files : On The Human Rights Day
2009-12-10 22:02:00 What is more disturbing than the disappearance of a famous human rights activist on the human rights day in his way to celebrate the international event ?? May be a family that does not know what really happened to to that man for years !! I do not think that there will be a perfect time to discuss Mansour El-Kekhia?s disappearance than the international human rights day , after all the human rights activist Kekhia disappeared on the 10th of December 1993 , the human rights day in Cairo near from his hotel. Just like the murder of David Holden , it is not a pure 100% Egypt ian X-File , it is an Egyptian-Arab X-File with the following two facts : Dr. El-Kekhia is a Libyan and he disappeared with no trace in Egypt. ElBaradei : No Party For Me
2009-12-10 22:00:00 Mohamed ElBaradei has made it clear in Al Masry Al Youm : He will not represent any party in the coming presidential elections. He will run as an independent presidential candidate and I think it is logic because he demanded a constitutional amendment that allows all citizens to run for the post with no partisan background and all those impossible conditions in infamous 76 article ; the longest article in our constitution !! This makes me so happy because representing any current party in Egypt will weaken his cause. We all know that these parties are not real parties in the first place and he even said so in his short interview , even that constitutional party which I have never heard about before !! Dr.ElBaradei said that he wants to change the constitution along with the people peacefully. Do Not Blame The Jews, Blame Yourself
2009-09-23 22:39:00 Farouk Hosni is back and he is whining like a lady on the conspiracies made by the Jews of the world against him as Egyptian, Arab,Muslim !! Breaking News : Farouk Hosni Lost The Elections
2009-09-22 23:02:00 Yes boys and girls Farouk Hosni has lost the UNESCO elections in front of Bulgarian Irina Bokova who has become the first woman to head the international organization :) Farouk got 27 votes and Irina got 30 in the final fifth vote. 2009-09-22 15:43:00 Now it is either Egyptian ?unfortunately? Farouk Hosni and Bulgarian Irina Bokova after their tie in yesterday?s fourth round in UNESCO elections for 29-29 votes.
