On the first day of winter.........
2007-12-22 15:52:00 It's hard to make out in the picture, but the there is giant snow flakes falling. It is the first day of winter....joy! (sarcastically said) Being the first day of winter in the Northern Tundra reminds me of the fact we only have 100 plus days of cold left before we get some semblance of warm air from the Gulf of Mexico to finally reach us. So for that very reason we have to look on the positive side of life...It's actually spring! Not winter. What you say? Yea dude the days officially get longer from this point on, thus "SPRING HAS SPRUNG" Make sense? Does to us above the 45th parallel. More About: Winter 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 |
