Brown Kicks Christian Group Out

Brown University, founded with money made by trafficking in slaves has suspended without reason one of its largest religious student organizations. The Trinity Presbyterian Church sponsors the Reformed University Fellowship at the school, but it was told in a September, 2006 letter that the organization must leave campus because the church had withdrawn its sponsorship. Not true, according to the church. This follows Georgetown University's notification to 6 groups of evangelical Chris t ian organizations, including the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (which has a chapter at MCLA), that the university there is going in a different direction and no longer would welcome such groups.

Rangel Wants The Draft Back

Americans would have to sign up for a new military draft after turning 18 if the incoming chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee has his way. Representative Charles Rangel (D-NY) said Sunday he sees his idea as a way to deter politicians from launching wars and to bolster U.S. troop levels insufficient to cover potential future action in Iran, North Korea and Iraq. His reasoning last time he brought up the subject was that fighting forces should more closely reflect the economic makeup of the nation.

As much as you dislike it, take the time to go over to Fox News, and view the video of Dennis Miller and his plea to the Democrats. His comment on winning the war in Iraq, that we "...must win in a William Tecumseh Sherman type rout" is a classic.
