The session of the Special Majlis to debate the case of the petition submitted by 26 members calling for a vote of no-confidence on Majlis Speaker Abba s Ibrahim began around 9am this morning and ended in surprising result for many reformists.The petition was lodged after Mr. Abbas Ibrahim prevented debate on lowering voting age to 18 for an upcoming referendum, defying a resolution of the house steering committee. Some 17 members of the public and police were injured during the disturbance caused to protest against MP Ibrahim Shareef ( Mavota) taking part in the DRP meeting. Mavota, who have won the parliament seat on an unofficial opposition ticket, recently defected to the ruling party after resigning from the main opposition MDP.During the disturbances, some people had broken the school's gate and notice board. Rocks thrown at the school had damaged some windows while the school's lights and some street lighting were also vandalized. CONFUSION OVER POST MORTEM

The post mortem which was completed today and the report which have been handed over to the Maldives High Commission with strict instructions for the sealed envelope to be opened in the presence of Salah's family and Maldives Police have been opened without knowledge of the Salah family. The findings were reported by Dr Shaheed who is with Gayoom in Singapore. Speaking from 1560 miles away from Colombo Dr Shaheed say the post mortem has ruled out ?violence? as the cause of death. There is a toxicology report waiting to find the exact time of death. People are already asking for an explanation on the marks found on his legs and face. As the family was later asked to accept a copy of the report they have rejected it stating foul play. Still many questions arise as the speed of the report was a breakthrough in post mortem history. Police shows evidence of salah being freed. This picture shows the document police say salah has put the finger print and signed in it. Let?s analyze this.=>There is no header in the document. The police even can?t claim its there?s because of this. Putting a header is a must in all government documents. That is the official law.=>It has no date in it. Not clear when he has signed it.=>The place where the national identity card number should be is not filled. A must in all official documents such as this.=>The place where the brief is written has no lines. ATHOLHUVEHI DEMOLISHED : NO MORE EVIDENCE

GroundSix have received unconfirmed reports that the un registered detainee centre Atholhuvehi jail cells are being demolished to destroy any evidence of a possible police murder. The detainees who have been in these cells are being transferred to another unregistered jail near Ahmadhiya Pre School. There are also reports of a police personal being hanged. Sources say that it could be a poice officer who have taken part in the torture and murder of the po9lice detainee i.e. Salah. The source further reports, saying that it could be the work of other officers who were involved in the murder.

Yes. A picture says a thousand words, but which words. These pictures which have been taken yesterday completely contradict from what the cyanided television report. Even the police have said that there were no visible signs of injury. After reading all the news and having a through look at the pictures. There is high possibility he was tortured before he was thrown to the sea. Remember im not telling the police did it. Still evidence suggests they could have done that. If the police say they have arrested him that means he was in custody. And they have openly said he was under custody till 13. They also say that the police contacted the parent of Salah where the parents have asked the police to bring him to addu where he was taken.Nobody heard of him after that. What do you think?If the parents want a post mortem to be done why not assist it. I know Maldives doesn?t have the required brains but why not keep him in the mortuary until such experience personal are brought in. and why is the police in such a hurry to bury the tortured victim. Hello Mavota!!! Well not anymore. These days he has been really busy, not by propagating for referendum but busy in hiding himself, scared of what might happen to him. As of last night when I read the breaking news in adduobserver it didn?t take me long to identify who is the centre of evil. Yes Mavota.If not for him lets say nothing would have happened. Ok but not to that extent. He has been labeled as a bad mouthed, indecent, unethical, much like a radio frequency.
