Look, another patriot! And he is only 13!
2006-09-05 23:33:01 Zachary Guiles is a patriot. At the age of 13 he recognizes that even though our Attorney Specific thinks that the Constitution is a "quaint" bit of paper, the First Amendment lets him call Junior a coke-snorting chickenhawk draft dodger anyway. Oh, yes, my gentle reader, do I shit you not, and thank you foreign press: the story is by The Guardian, and the photo is from spiegel.de. When you cannot even rely on the Red States ...
2006-09-05 23:33:01 Chimpie is having a really bad week. If you, my gentle reader, have seen the previous few posts, you will have been snickering at some of the troubles already. But to add insult to injury, even Salt Lake City, so stalwartly Red State , so seemingly authoritarian follower that the majority of the population is being scalped by their local cult since the late 1800s without so much as a peep, even More About: Cann , When , States
Remember this asshole? (Updated)
2006-08-24 04:42:02 If you slept through the Iran Contra parade of crooks, you may not realize just how qualified he is for his job inside the Perfidious Monstrosity. You see, gentle reader, the Iran Contra affair, oh-so-longingly remembered with moistened eyes by the current hackocratic elites, was that glorious time in the history of America when the post-Nixonian crooks were re-inserting themselves into the government and linking up with dirty CIA agents who ran heroin from South Asia until the end of the VietNam fiasco forced them to shut down. So they joined hands, and switched to cocaine, the Contras in Nicaragua, and much shorter flights past the DEA. But then the scheme became positively Byzantine in nature. You see, gentle reader, the Iranians wanted weapons for something or other, and since it would have been illegal for the United States government to deal with them directly, this little scheme was set up: the CIA helped the Contras make cocaine, shipped it into the United States, di... Sound advice to the Democrats from a ?right-wing, knuckle-dr
2006-08-10 04:21:02 OK, this was another first. I just quoted (hack, barf) Joe Scarborough. In his debut on HuffPo Joe looks at the loss tonight by now-Independent Joe to Ned Lamont, and what it says about the Democratic Party. His cogent thesis is condescending, patronizing, and misogynistic, but he still has a point: ?My advice to Democratic voters this year is "Go left, young man!"? With the apologies to the women running this year, this is an excellent suggestion. It will more than likely go unheeded, but I would still recommend that every single Democratic strategist and campaign manager print it out and use it as your mantra! Mind you, I am not talking going to the insane side of left. No idiots who want to raise taxes to 60%. No bleeding hearts who could not imagine seeing a convicted murderer incarcerated. And absolutely no one who wants to create a new Department of Everything in the government. No! I am talking about pragmatic, progressive left, like fixing our borders, like getting... Seven Days in February?
2006-08-07 04:15:02 Rolling Stone comes out with another "shocker": the Perfidious Monster has been illegally fermenting grounds to invade Iran. Well, surprise, surprise. Even Gomer could have figured that one out. The only thing in this story that shocks me is how casually James Bamford describes the multiple acts of treason committed by this Administration and its neo-con minions. Once again, I urge everyone who reads this to speak to anyone they know who still wants to vote Republican. Ask them questions. Describe reality to them. Do what you have to, but stop them from voting Republican. We need a humongous landslide this November, so that these bastards cannot steal this election as well. And then we need to finally get to the three "I"s: investigate, indict, impeach.-- TechnoratiTags: Rolling Stone, James Bamford, neo-cons, Iran, Iraq, stolen elections, 2006 election, Impeachment More About: Seven Days , Seven , Days , February
Crackpot Christians
More articles from this author:2006-08-07 04:15:02 This is a must-read, I believe: No one should decidedly adhere to an exposition of Scripture that with sure reason is ascertained to be false in order that, from this, Scripture not be derided by the infidels. -- St. Thomas Aquinas [from Lev Shestov, Athens and Jerusalem, p. 300] With or without religion, good people can behave well and bad people can do evil; but for good people to do evil -- that takes religion. -- Steven Weinberg History, I believe, furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free civil government. This marks the lowest grade of ignorance of which their civil as well as religious leaders will always avail themselves for their own purposes. -- Thomas Jefferson Although he might not agree with my use of the term "Crack pot Chris t ian s," Kevin Phillips is certainly correct when he claims that "the radical side of U.S. religion has embraced cultural antimodernism, war hawkishness, Armageddon prophecy, and in the case of conservative fundament...
