We all take our liberty and way of life as a given much of the time. It is, at once, both blessing and curse to be so automatic. Most of us are fortunate enough to never have known anything less. Even our worst of times in America have been more prosperous than the best of times in many other parts of our big, blue marble. One of the more irritating techniques used to lobby for the recently-defeated amnesty bill was the constant reference to those against it as being against immigration. The media, and most of the liberal politicians, intentionally left out the key word…“illegal”. They even went so far as to accuse those who vigorously opposed the bill of being “bigots”.
