"CF14" e-newsletters from Duncan Hockridge are now being used also to market building plots available - currently one "adjacent to 179 Pen y Dre" and one "adjacent to 13 Clos y Blaidd", also "two in Tongwynlais". The references were purely as a news item as the plots in Rhiwbina had been offered for sale in the Dec. R.H.Seel auction but did not sell. In the past I have often mentioned property items in the area such as the additiional shop for Snails and the closure of roxey etrc.,. A number of my subscribers have told me that they have been seeking plots to build on, hence the references. I am totally against garden grabbing. Planning scupper protest banners

I have just been told by a supporter that he has received a visit from a Planning Enforcement Officer who has instructed him to remove the banner from his front garden. The officer has also apparently also visited the other houses at which banners are displayed. Apparently someone has made a complaint - could be the developer if he is about to submit a new application. My information is that the poster are legal in that they are less than 0.3sq.m. in area. In fact, temporary signs, relating to local events such as fetes or concerts, may be up to 0.6 sq.m. I guess our signs come into this category as a planning application oblection is a "local tremporary event". People have a right to protest and perhaps planning enforcement would like to get rid of those awful Bright Yellow Barratt signs all over Rhiwbina.Can they make you do this and is there a penalty?You can knock down pubs and beutiful old buildings and bungalows but put up a banner and woahhhhh!!
