Dear Anne,It's fantastic to hear of your efforts and I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you every success in your campaign. We are working hard in the run up to the second reading of the Bill on Friday 15 June to make sure as many people as possible are aware of the problems of Garden Grabbing and have shown their support by signing our petition, so your support is very much appreciated. As you may know we have now launched an on-line gallery for people to share their experiences and show the extent of the problem across the country so if you have any photos or would like to air you views through our site please do log on and have a look. www.saveourgardens.org.uk We will be visiting Downing Street to hand in the petition next week so please do keep the signatures coming and fingers crossed for the 15th of June. 23 Beulah Road - still time to send in your objections
2007-05-23 11:35:00
No date has been set yet as new plans have been requested.Late representations about the plans can be made via local members, or to Julian Steadman, j.stedman@cardiff.gov.ukCllr. Jayne Cowan will be attending the Meeting. people can pass comments to her on 02920627757 or email jcowan@cardiff.gov.ukI don't think lowering the ridge height will solve anything as a 'grand design' is not wanted. The line of the building and the style will be so disruptive, the character and ambience of the neighbourhood will be lost forever.

Save the Pines Action Group Whitchurch
2007-04-18 10:15:00
Letter from the Save the Pines Action Group I agree with everything you said in your Echo letter. I spent the last 14 months fighting against a proposed development at The Pines Mansion in Whitchurch. We had full support of the people of Whitchurch. Plus Whitchurch Heritage Action Group and all the local councillors, AM's and the MP united against this development. We were let down by Cardiff City Planning Department. The initial report recommending planning at The Pines Site was poorly researched, key policies and guidelines were either ignored or not considered and their report was full of contradictions. The Planning Department did back track at the last minute with a vote for deferral but it was too late.We lost 5 votes to 4 on the 14/2/07. The result decided in a matter of minutes by some ill informed Committee Membe...
