Another Crooked Politico Takes A Fall

Former Speaker of The North Carolina House, Jim (He's done nothing wrong) Black, Began serving a five year stint in stir yesterday. Jimbo got convicted of a number shady legislations,loans, bribes, and so on. You know, what ever he thought he could get away with. Even took a wad of bribe cash in a restaurant bathroom. The investigation continues and Jimmy (He's done nothing wrong) Black could get more time. He is already 70 years old, so don't expect him to serve his full sentence. In the meantime..The F.B.I. is on Senator Stevens, from Alaska, like white on rice. So we will keep an eye on that and see where it goes... But you know...as long as our Justice Systems keeps slapping these guys on the wrist, this crap is going to continue. Of course The legislatures won't increase the penalties for fear that THEY will be caught someday, and will have to suffer the fate of those penalties.. Thats why they grant themselves pardon power, and keep the penalties light. Five years... out ...

It is certainly good news that the U.S. Senate approved $3 Bil for Border Enforcement. It came on the Homeland Security Bill , and not on an Immigration Bill. That's cool. That's where it should be. Money is going for hiring and training new Border Patrol and I.C.E. Agents , as well as Ground Radar, Fencing, and Airial Drones. Some language in the Bill to allow Law Enforcement to investigate legal status of suspected Illegals got into some trouble . but after some rewording, it was included.... Guess Who had a problem with it....Yep, Good Ole Harry Reid... Out of 100 senators, 89 voted for it, one against...that makes it Veto Proof...Final vote is tomorrow, and it looks like another senator is getting with the program, making 90 yes votes....Hey...do you think they might be listening to the voters for a change??? District Court Strikes Down Local Anti-Illegal Immigration Ordinance

Judge James Munley has struck down Hazelton, Pennsylvania's recently enacted anti-illegal immigration ordinances. Those ordinances, in part, prohibited landlords from renting to Illegals,and prohibited Illegals from obtaining business lisences, even though the ordinances were crafted by immigration lawyers in concert with U.S. immigration law. Many other local governments have passed similar ordinances, and Hazelton has appealed to the 3rd Circuit Court. Eventually this will end up in the Supreme Court. At issue is; do local jurisdictions have the right to enact ordinances to protect their communities when Federal Authorities have not , or are unable to enforce Federal Law. My question is, if someone is in the country illegally, how is it possible that they can enter into a contract to rent, or purchase a home, purchase an automobile, or utilities?? Prince William County Virginia has applied to The Department of Homeland Security for it's police officers to attend the Cultural and Racism Sensitivity Program. The program is designed to offer law enforcement the techniques needed to establish the legal status of detainees without using race or cultural heritage as the basis to conduct an investigation. Eighteen juristictions have completed the program, and seventy five more have applied. The owner has several employees that entered the United States without benefit of Visa(Illegal Immigrant s ) No..I have not reported this to I.C.E., One of those, lives just a few doors down from me. I often give him a ride home when he is finishing up his work if I happen to be shopping there at that time. Last Sunday night was not one of those times. It happened to be his pay day. Not having a Passport or Visa, he has no Social Security Card. Thus..he cannot open a bank account. His employer must pay him in cash. The end of the gasoline powered motorcycle may be on the horizion. A company called Brammo, will offer it's ELECTRIC POWERED ENERTIA motorcycle for sale beginning in 2008. The all carbon fibre constructed bike is about the size of the common 250cc street bike and looks like a sport bike. Currently, top speed is about 50mph with a range of 50 miles. Good enough for in town commutes. It recharges in a couple of hours from any 110 volt outlet, and costs about seven cents. Recently, at a All Harley Drag Racing Association meet (A.H.D.R.A.) an experimental all electric bike, called the Killacycle, ran the quater mile in 8.168 seconds at 155.78 mph. Killacycle delivers 350 Horse Power compared to top fuel Harleys that deliver over 1000 HP for the same result. Also, Killacycle ran the quater mile on 10 cents worth of electricity. Between 2000 and 2005, the U.S. economy went from 9.8 trillion dollars to 11.2 trillion dollars. In that time, productivity of the America n worker went up 16.6 %. Corporate profits went from 17.7 % to 20.9 %. Great news ...right??? Yeah...so how is it that the buying power of the average American worker went down 2.9 % in comparison??? Not to worry...the average C.E.O. now earns about 262 times as much as the average worker. In 1965, it was 24 times as much. Since 1992, C.E.O. salaries are up 186 %. Since 2000, those in the top 1 % income bracket, have seen 50.4 % increase in pay. The middle class received about 14 % more in earnings. Poor folks got 3.4 % more money over the five year period. Starting pay for high school AND college grads are down. Jobs with benefit packages are down. So...when the government big shots tell you that the economy is strong....it is.. for them and their corporate buddies.
