Now he's got it. I doubt he understands how this asinine Hamdan v. Rumsfeld decision is going to echo. Supreme Court Surrenders To Terrorists
2006-06-29 18:11:00 Today the Supreme Court ruled that President Bush had overstepped his authority by ordering military war crimes trials for terrorists held at Guantanamo. In a case focused on Salim Ahmed Hamdan, a Yemeni who had been a bodyguard and driver for Osama bin Laden, the court ruled that military tribunals (which were good enough for Nazi war criminals held as prisoners of war and protected by Germany's participation in the Geneva Convention) cannot be used to try Al Qaeda terrorists.The vote went 5-3, with Chief Justice Roberts forced to recuse himself because he had heard this case in the Court of Appeals. The majority opinion was written by John Paul Stevens, the most liberal justice on the court. Anytime a marxist asshat like Stevens writes a decision, you can guarentee it's going to be bad for America. Senate votes to give Social Security benefits to Illegal Aliens.
2006-05-22 18:39:00 Ever heard the argument from RINOs (Republican In Name Only) that we need illegal aliens, oops I mean undocumeted workers, to keep our Social Security system afloat? Well, with the defeat of the Ensign Amendment to the Hagel-Martinez Bill (Senate's immigration bill), that argument is right out the window. Sen. Ensign's (R. NV) amendment would have closed a loophole in existing law that would have allowed illegals who recieve amnesty to obtain Social Security benefits after working ten years, including their time here illegally.Under the Ensign Amendment, only time working here legally would count for benefits. The amendment failed by one vote. I often question why my legal immigrant friends would bother trying to go through our byzantine INS system when everyone is bending over backwards for illegal aliens.
