Our sweet treasures
2007-11-16 19:28:00 Sometimes we do not realize the value of the treasures we have....but when we lose them,we come to know how much they meant to us.The treasures are kept in a safe place,a place without a hard lock, where no one except our feelings and emotions can steal them. The treasures are in a garden full of white roses whose mesmerizing scent takes good care of them.In an ocean where pearls of innocence make a comely necklace for their constant companions, which being a symbol of protection drive away the sinister waves......A deep ocean, whose corals and shells sing songs of peace as the charms that take them under their sparkle. The coins of love and trust in the migty forest are safely hidden among the dense tall trees,a forets full of delicate butterflies which fly all day and night ,following the same routes,in search of any lost or cast away coin.A forest whose numb soil gives refuge to our valuables...........valuables preserved in an eyrie screened by thevigorous eagle of the rigid mass....... Photo Sessions at Marriages : An Increasing Trend...
2007-11-16 12:01:00 There is an increasing trend of photo sessions in Pakistan at the matrimonial functions. For this a professional photographer is hired who takes in snap shots of the bride or the marrying pair and most of the times, of the sisters next in number to the bride for sending in pictures to ?Rishta Walay?. That I think is a mere extravagance. Even if the girl or boy is not willing for the session, they are forced.Photo graphers charge thousands for an album they create. But the parents are like compelled to do so as it is the requirement imposed by society. Here I think it is self imposed by one?s own self. It is really not that necessary. What one has to do it except watching the same face in artificial faces again n again? The beauty that is portrayed in a natural photograph can?t be captured by posing. So another burden added on the already present expenses of marriage. Still I think it is upon us to stop it. What if we don?t have a photo session at our marriage and save those thousands ... More About: Trend , Marriages , Sessions , Ages
Don't Blame Woman for Divorce
2007-11-15 04:40:00 In a society like Pakistan, divorce is a mere curse for the woman regardless of whether she is really accused or not. Surely it is an incident that can?t be easily forgotten but still one can live a new happy life. This gives life a new and bitter meaning where it is hard to survive the questions of people. This is the right time when you come across the mentalities of people and there you differentiate between good and bad people. Most of the times, people loose hopes and start hating life. The person with whom promises have been made for the whole life has said good bye to you. That is the time, when one feels having lost everything.Marriage is actually a promise for the whole life and each of the spouses has to effort in to keep this life safe and happy. It is not just the responsibility of woman to understand everything and compromise. A woman leaves her home and family to live with a man and so expects love, care and understanding from him.So when a divorce happens, only woman s... More About: Divorce , Woman , Blame , Divo
Is your party?
2007-11-14 23:26:00 Democratic?Does your party hold regular elections for different positions/offices within the party (including elections for the Chairperson)? If not, then most probably your party does not have enough democratic culture to be able to bring democracy to the country.Eager to Serve?Does your party have any ongoing projects for the welfare of the public (or at least its own members), that are independent of its position in the government? If not, then it?s time to consider whether your party is committed to the people of Pakistan or to getting positions in the government.Committed to its Heroes? Is your party striving to have the illegally removed judges reinstated? Or has it decided to betray those who stand up for the constitution? Would you present your services/sacrifice for a party that does not stand by its (and the nation?s) heroes?Far-sighted?Is your party calling for the trial of those who have suspended the constitution? A story to Share
2007-11-14 10:46:00 Some days ago I came to know a story and want to share and confirm the health of it, if any body can confirm? When Dr Manmohan Singh came into power in India, he was curious about many events including the existing of Pakistan army. He called a Hindu Jotshi to tell him the future prospects about dealing with Pakistan Army. The Jotshi used his spiritual strength and told after a silence that Doctor sahib you need not to bother about it and keep emphasis on National Issues and development. Dr Manmohan Singh asked that Jotshi Pakistan Army is a big threat for India how I can ignore it. The Jotshi replied that the last the Pakistan Army will fight against its nation so that is no more threat for any one. When I heard that story I came into deep silence, because no matter this story is right or wrong but we by our mis-deeds are heading towards the same direction. Daily Telegraph and Musharraf
2007-11-14 08:50:00 Nomatter how hard and bitter family members fight with each other, if some outsiders comes and abuses any of the family member, the whole family becomes united against the outsider. Daily Telegraph, an English tabloid, in its exasperated attempt to insult a Pakistani has exposed its narrow-mindedness and also show the world its intellectual dirt. The foul and abusive language usage in the Western media is not a new thing. They even use it for Prophet Christ and that is why they become stunned over the reaction of Muslim when they mock the last Prophet Mohammad (SAW). They dont really care about the self-respect and esteem of others. They use to insult whatever and whoever they want. They have got their own standards of freedom of speech.Whether you like Musharraf or not; its hard to defend the expletives use by Daily Telegraph against Pakistani president. President Musharraf shouldnt expect any 'sorry' from the English Tabloid, as they have just done it get some more publicity and...
Pervez Elahi Aya Kis Di Furmaish Tay?
2007-11-14 08:50:00 I fully concur with the following article published in Ummat. Benazir is dying for the Kursi, and now US has become apprehensive of her hunger. Musharraf is already having second thoughts over his deal with her, and now he is looking more towards the unconstitutional measures to retain himself in Wardi and Kursi. The deal was initially that Musharraf will keep the Wardi and an eye/stick on Kursi, whereas Benazir will enjoy the Kursi. But now as Chaudharies of Gujarat have succeeded to impose emergency through Musharraf, they wouldnt never let him go back, and would carry on with their plan to keep Benazir out, and its might be possible very strongly that we see Pervez Elahi our next Prime Minister. As we have no choice and we have no clout, so we can only sadistically wish that Musharraf would carry on atleast with Shaukat Aziz instead of Pervaiz Elahi....... Imran Khan Trapped By Monafiqs
2007-11-14 08:50:00 Imran Khan represents the genuine opposition within the Pakistan. He may be the playboy once before coming into the politics, but he rules the hearts of Pakistani youth right now. He is learning by the time, and he is turning out to be a profound leader, who we could use for our survival. He surfaced in the Punjab university to protest against emergency and the military rule, and was loved by the students. Throngs of students just adored him, and the shameless thugs and spineless animals of Islami Jamiat Tulba got jealous and they beat him, abused him, and then confined him in the university before he was arrested by the Police gleefully.Jamat-e-Islami, one of the monafiq of the Motahidda Mona fiq Alliance (MMA), has always played as the B-team of the GHQ, and this time they proved loyal to Shah more than the Shah. Jamat once again foiled opposition's efforts of erecting some serious hurdles in the way of emergency. Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman must be proud of the Qazi and his goons.Imag... More About: Imran Khan

Go Jamiat Go : Punjab University Students Stands Up
2007-11-14 08:50:00 Atlast the students of Punjab Univers ity have risen up to the occassion, and they once again proved to the world that good guys always win over the bad guys. Thousands of students of the university produced a passionate rally in the premises of University in the favour of Imran Khan and agains the terrorists of Jamiat. They were chanting "Go Jamiat Go" and "Imran Teray Jaan Nisar, Bayshumaar, Bayshumaar".Angry students remained peaceful, but they rightfully closed down the offices of the Jamiat, torn-apart their stickers and romp their luggage. All the goons and thugs of Jamiat went into hiding, and thousands of Jamiat members resigned from the Jamiat. It was a grand day in the university, when the faculty was also silently supporting the students against the Jamiat terrorism.Imran Khan has achieved a very important milestone, perhaps his most notable, in his political career. Thank You Musharraf
2007-11-13 08:42:00 The whole world seems to go mad except the silent majority of Pakistanis over the proclaimation of emergency in Pakistan. Majority of Pakistanis know their country better than others. They have taken a sigh of relief over the hush-hush of private channels which were doing nothing but spreading alarming sensations among the populace.President Musharraf very sadly banned the channels, and he was dead right when he said that West and other opposing emergency must realize the ground realities in the country, and he was right when he said that he institutionalized emergency to save the Pakistan from a combined suicide. Now after the promulgation of emergency, things seem to go in the right direction at last. Now people have more time to think about themselves and their country, instead of wasting time in front of meaningless talk shows of private channels. Musharraf has made some mistakes, but who hasnt. Musharraf has dexterily save Dr. Qadeer from US, and he hasnt allowed NATO and US to ... More About: Hank
Searching for the footsteps of Shariati
2007-11-13 08:42:00 By Shaheryar Ali at Pak Tea House. Pak Tea House is a little corner in the blogosphere endeavours to revive the culture of debate, pluralism and tolerance Pakistan. It is inspired by the defunct Tea House in Lahore that nurtured several literary and social movements for decades.?You teach me how to live;I shall learn how to die.?I was dismayed to read the news that Islamists have removed Pakistani flag from Police stations in Sawat, the Islamists for whom ?death? is the weapon of choice. Tie a belt around you and bang, you are a martyr!! Tonnes of literature has now emerged in Europe on ?problem of Islam?; ?the cult of death?, the ?glorification of death??One piece caught my eye, that traced the ideas of death in works of foremost libertarian Islamic scholar, Ali Shari ati. It was hard to digest Shariati being a product of the most radical and most libertarian of the French and continental traditions. Will They Come Out?
2007-11-12 17:42:00 Introducing private media channels like GEO, ARYONEWORLD, AAJ, and host others was a commendable step from the government. In rural Punjab, there is cliche which if translated into English, goes like this, "If your mother has married second time, its bad, if she has left the second husband, its too bad."Government first liberated the media, it proved bad for her. Now she has imposed ban on it, its too bad. In todays time of Internet, cell phones, wireless, and dish you cant really throw a dark blanket over the whole country. People of this country have now tasted the blood of cable channels and now they are really missing it. During the CJP issue, and during the Nawaz Sharif fiasco on 10th Sep, People remained content enough to remain at their homes, enjoying thedrama unfolding live on cable channels. But now they have got nothing to do at homes, and there is a chance that they would come on roads to inquire what the fuss is all about. Will they really come out? One still wonders.

Why Someone Takes a Negative but Bold Step
2007-11-10 11:33:00 We know human being is barbarian in its roots, but civilization and need theory has tamed it to an extent so that it looks and behave like a civilian. But as a matter of fact human being requires at-least surety of two stages in the needs pyramid that are fulfillment of basic needs and then safety need. What happens when these two basic steps of needs are not fulfilled. This is just to analyze why a human decides to kill himself. Its not that easy to kill others. A killer, murderer or a suicide bomber first kills him/her self and kills his/her family when he decides to kill other. What a brave decision makers such people are to we name as cowards. Facts show that there is un-justice, which is the biggest motive of such decisions. Not getting justice in what sense? Parents do favor to one than other, family do wrong in decision making, deprived of love, environmental decisions not on merit, teacher beats without any mistake, being punished for the same offense for which others get ba... PPP's Pindi Public Meeting
2007-11-09 15:49:00 After striking a deal with Musharraf, and after getting hundreds of innocent people blown up in suicide attacks, while she was safe in her fortress of a truck, Benazir bolted to Dubai just before emergency, and then came back after being assured from her masters in the West that all is well and its just part of the game.Lawyers, political workers of all the opposition parties, former and suspended judges, human rights activists and other civil society members were beaten, tortured, arrested and abused by the Police in all the cities of Pakistan, but only PPP remain untouched. When people again started raising fingers at Benazir and deal and the dheel, they hastily started posing as tough against emergency and Musharraf. Now Americans Will Protect Our Nukes?
2007-11-08 19:02:00 America is our true friend. A really sincere and thoughtful one, indeed. Nobody, even the government of India thought about the safety of Pakistani nuclear assets, and there they are our Yankee friends from oceans across choked the toilets of White House, while worrying about the nuclear assets of Pakistan in the time of emergency.According to BBC, US government is so worried about the protection of nuclear assets of Pakistan that they are thinking very strongly to send over protective units of their forces to make sure that emergency doesn?t let the nukes go off automatically.Americans are so desperate about the Pakistani nuclear assets that they are not even waiting for their stooge Benazir, who has already promised that she would open up the nuclear sits of Pakistan for IAEA, and will fully comply with the West. Black Coats Under Threat
2007-11-08 07:45:00 The situation is getting worse every day; everything is topsy turvy since Musharraf declared emergency. Lawyers are diappearing in big numbers. I escaped my own arrest today, lucky for me. Today afternoon, I along with two fellow lawyers was at a friend's place whose name was in the wanted list when a cop vehicle stopped at his house. They rang the bell and the friend's nephew said that his uncle (our friend) was out of home. They remained outside for some time and no sooner we got a chance to flee, we made our escape.Unfortunately, my bike's number has been noted by two cops on bikes this morning and it is possible that I might vanish all of a sudden like many others if my name finds a place in the list of the unfortunate. So far some eighteen lawyers have been arrested from our district. How many more?no one knows that.By Talal Hussain Malik: More About: Coats , Black , Threat , Oats
