Tesco takes on Microsoft in battle for software market
2006-10-01 06:21:02
That’s interesting, Only time will tell how much competition Tesco can give to Giant software House “Microsoft ”. Lets hope for the best… Tesco, the UK’s biggest retailer, will go head-to-head with Microsoft, the world’s largest software company, by entering the £8.5bn computer software market. The retailer will launch Tesco-branded software in 100 stores this month. An initial range of six products, which will include office software and security suites, will sell for less than £20 each, massively undercutting rivals’ prices. Microsoft Office sells for up to £300.

Playing a cunning game of survival in the war zone
2006-10-01 06:21:02
He is gone Mad, he knows very well his political career is about to finish. So Presdent Musharraf probably thought to write a book and make some Dollars in hurry. He feels, being an army man he did not expect to be questioned on what he wrote or could not be asked to produce proof.  Since he is not a democratically elected leader who feels his hands are tied by the constraints of a democratic system, he does not have to worry about the direct or indirect consequence of his words. The book might have boosted President financial standing but it had neither served the cause of truth nor the interests of your own country. Pervez Musharraf was, by his own admission, a naughty child. His discovery that an unfiltered cigarette made an efficient time fuse led him and some friends to construct firecracker bombs that exploded deafeningly in rubbish bins and mail boxes outside the houses of school staff. ?There was utter confusion,? he recalled with satisfaction. Old habits die hard, it seems...

Reid fights to end torture shield for terror suspects
2006-10-01 06:21:02
Yeah I agree with you Mr.Reid , we need secure and safe society. Terror ist are terrorist they haven’t got any value for other human beings, so why should be they get protection under Human Rights? Well done implement the law ASAP… JOHN REID, the home secretary, is heading for a showdown with the judiciary over plans to strip some terror suspects of the automatic right to be protected from torture. Reid is preparing a new anti-terror law that would sideline human rights legislation protecting suspects from torture if ministers ruled there were ?overriding considerations of national security?. The move is aimed at foreign terrorist suspects, including 32 detained in prison without charge or being monitored on strict bail conditions. Despite Tony Blair?s pledge after last year?s suicide bombings in London to deport them, not one has been forcibly sent home because of legal fears that they might face torture on their return.

Film ?shows two 9/11 pilots reading wills?: Report
2006-10-01 06:21:02
Surprised to be honest….How come tabloid got the video? Well I just hope and pray that this video will help to answer many unanswered question. LONDON: A British newspaper claimed it had obtained a copy of a film showing two of the pilots in the September 11 2001 attacks reading martyrdom wills at Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden’s headquarters. The newspaper reported that the video showed Mohammed Atta, the lead hijacker who flew the first plane into New York’s World Trade Center, with Ziad Jarrah, pilot of a plane, which crashed in Pennsylvania after passengers apparently stormed the cockpit. According to the paper, the well-groomed pair are shown laughing and smiling in the January 2000 film but turn solemn when Atta starts reading a document marked “the will” in Arabic. Jarrah also reads his will on film. The hour-long tape, which has no soundtrack and which lipreaders have been unable to decipher, was obtained through “a previously tested chan...

2006-10-01 06:21:02
Hmm this guy gone mad? well only few days ago he said that he only supported the “War on Terror” because he got scared of US bombing, now he is saying he can bring west and US on their knees…quite funny ……..Mr.Mush arraf first learn how to stand by yourself then think of bring down anyone to their knees, especially when you are on your knees….. Remember famous quote you said only few days ago?  “we should be prepared to be bombed back to the Stone Age?  LONDON: General Musharraf has mixed rank self-righteousness with a remarkably stark warning to the West that it could be ‘brought to its knees’ if Pakistan withdraws its cooperation in the so-called war on terror. Launching a fierce and finger-wagging attack on the West’s growing doubts about Pakistan’s role in fighting Islamist terrorism, Musharraf said the US and UK had to understand Pakistan is the West’s “main ally…If we were not with you, you won&...

Pakistan ?role in Mumbai attacks?
2006-09-30 18:18:01
Nothing new, what anyone expect from Terrorist state who has alwasy supported terrorism. Pakistan ’s intelligence agency was behind the train blasts in Mumbai in July that killed 186 people, Indian police have said. The attacks were planned by the ISI and carried out by the Islamist militant group Lashkar-e-Toiba, based in Pakistan, Mumbai’s police chief said. AN Roy said the Students’ Islamic Movement of India had also assisted. Pakistan rejected the allegations and said India had given no evidence of Pakistani involvement in the attacks. “We have solved the 11 July bombings case. The whole attack was planned by Pakistan’s ISI and carried out by Lashkar-e-Toiba and their operatives in India,” AN Roy, Mumbai’s police chief, told a news conference. Islam, Radicalism and Government Foreign Policy
2006-09-30 12:15:02
In response to this article published on blogcritics.org Islam , Radicalism and Government Foreign Policy by Jamal…. We can’t expect Muslims in Britain not to react when Britain invades Muslim countries and kills thousands of Muslims. British foreign policy also unequivocally supports USA and Israel in continuous actions of bloodshed and slaughter on a mass scale. Meanwhile back in Britainthere’s the police’s heavy handed tactics in dealing with innocent Muslims, as well as the inherent islamophobic undertones that pervade British society. So here is question for you Mr.Jamal, how many Muslims reacted in Pakistanwhen Musharraf and his army killed many people in Wazirestan and other North Provience? Did anyone bomb Islamabad for this? Did any body kills or attacked government buildings or any innocents in Islamabad for this? Nopeso don?t talk rubbish about reaction. If we look to some countries (especially Islamic countries) and see how people get treated in t...

2006-09-30 12:15:02
Not a bad idea, I am sure this sort measures will help country to get rid of some extremist. Appreciate the efforts of Gujarat Madrasas…. VADODARA, SEPTEMBER 28: With madrasas under the scanner again after the arrest of two former students of a Bharuch seminary, the Gujarat Federation of Madrasas has decided to do a rethink on admission policy and procedure, especially of Kashmiri students. After the Ramzan holidays end and before the new session begins, the seminaries also plan to draw up stricter guidelines ? among them will be an all-clear from Gujarat police before a student is admitted. Two former students of Kantharia Darul-uloom in Bharuch ? Ilyas Memon and Siraj Ansari ? were picked up after a Lashkar sleeper cell was busted in Ahmedabad recently. A few Kashmiri students were also detained for questioning by investigation agencies which is why the seminary is mulling a ban on Kashmiri students. Gujarat is presently home to 75 Darul-ulooms with boarding facilities. T...

Extremist Islam May Be Rising in Morocco
2006-09-30 12:15:02
Well Extremist is on rise every part of world but sad part is our government doesn’t care. RABAT, Morocco (AP) — Little would seem to connect a soldier, a shopkeeper, airline pilots’ wives and a woman known for helping people in need. But all have been named as suspects in a purported Islam ic terrorist plot, suggesting extremism may be leaping Morocco’s class divides. In all, Moroccan authorities arrested 56 people last month for allegedly being part of a network that was planning attacks on military and tourist sites in hopes of bringing down the government of this North African monarchy. Since the Sept. 11 attacks in the United States and suicide bombings two years later that killed 33 people in Casablanca, this country’s economic capital, Moroccans have grown accustomed to police crackdowns on Islamic militants. Thousands have been detained, drawing frequent accusations of abuse and forced confessions at the hands of police. What’s new in the...

Al-Zawahri: Bush a Liar in War on Terror
2006-09-30 12:15:02
Look who is Talking……. CAIRO, Egypt (AP) — Al-Qaida No. 2 Ayman al-Zawahri called President Bush a failure and a liar in the war on terror in a video statement released Friday, and he compared Pope Benedict XVI to the 11th century pontiff who launched the First Crusade. “Can’t you be honest at least once in your life, and admit that you are a deceitful liar who intentionally deceived your nation when you drove them to war in Iraq?” Osama bin Laden’s deputy said, appearing in front of a standing lamp and a small, decorative cannon. Al-Zawahri also criticized Bush for continuing to imprison al-Qaida leaders in prisons, including al-Qaida No. 3 Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged Sept. 11 mastermind who was captured in Pakistan in March 2003. “Bush, you deceitful charlatan, 3 1/2 years have passed since your capture of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, so how have you found us during this time? Losing and surrendering? Or are we launching attacks ...

More trouble for Mr.Musharraf
2006-09-30 12:15:02
How Pakistan government can hang Mr.Hussain when his murder conviction has already been quashed. Second when Lahore High Court already freed him and declared him non guilty earlier, how come Sharia Court found him guilty of the crimes he never committed?  And the last thing I want to know did Mr.Hussain received fair trial under  Sharia Court , I doubt it?? Double Oxford protest greets President Mush arraf The brother of a British man facing execution in Pakistan in two days time said that he was hopeful of a reprieve after making a last-ditch appeal to President Pervez Musharraf. Although General Musharraf declined to speak to the family of Mirza Tahir Hussain as they demonstrated outside the Oxford venue where he made a speech today, the condemned man’s supporters said they were optimistic that he would be spared the death penalty. Mr Hussain?s brother Amjad said that as his entourage drove away General Musharraf had smiled at him and given him a thumbs-up gesture. R...

ISLAMABAD: Tribal vigilantes have set up an office in the main town in North Waziristan, the Pakistani region where the government signed a pact earlier this month with elders from the tribes to curb Taliban and al Qaeda activity. Two days ago, according to residents, vigilantes, who refer to themselves as mujahideen, or Muslim holy warriors, in leaflets posted around Miranshah, opened an office guarded by armed men in the town’s central market. Pakistan is again on front pages of all major tabloids and television all over world, not because of any terrorist link or Taliban?s but because of his own President revelation of some secret to sell his books and make some good money as he realize that his ?political demise? is near. Mr.Parvez Musharraf a hardcore military personal seized the power through military coup by throwing out democratic elected government of Mr.Nawaz Sharif and declaring himself as a President of Pakistan by amending all the constitutional laws in October 1999.         President Parvez Musharraf, whose book ?In The Line Of Fire ? Musharraf sparks off outrage in Canada
2006-09-29 06:09:01
It seems Cana da value Human Life more than the Pakistanis…… WASHINGTON: Add the normally composed Canadians to the list of nationals angered by Musharraf , the motormouth. Pakistan’s military ruler has sparked off outrage in Canada this week by asking Canadians to stop whining about losing a few soldiers in NATO operations in Afghanistan, and saying Pakistan had suffered far greater losses in the war on terrorism. “We have suffered 500 casualties, Canadians may have suffered four or five,” Musharraf said in an interview to CBC-TV aired on Tuesday. “You suffer two dead, and there’s a cry and shout all around the base that there are coffins. Well, we’ve had 500 coffins.” What has incensed Canadians, aside the fact that their soldiers are dying at the hands of Pakistan-backed Taliban, is Musharraf’s casual bandying of numbers.

We won?t bow to extremist bullies, vows Reid
2006-09-29 00:06:01
Warning: John Reid has said there will be “no compromise with terrorism”. Very Well Said Mr. Reid I am with you. Home Secretary John Reid today vowed there will be no “no-go areas” in Britain in the efforts to tackle extremism head-on. A week after his efforts to connect with British Muslims were hijacked by radical hecklers in East London he said he would not be “brow-beaten” by extremist “bullies”. His visit to Waltham Forest was his first, but would not be his last, as he insisted there would be “no compromise with terrorism”. And with continued speculation about his possible intentions to stand against Gordon Brown to become the next party leader, he told delegates he would play his “full part” in any future Labour victory, adding: “When one of us succeeds, the others don’t fail. We share in that success.” His wish list for the party was very short - a fourth term of a Labour government.

Pakistan denies helping terrorists
2006-09-29 00:06:01
Some one has rightly said ” Never Trust Military Ruler”. Pakistan is helping terrorist and its a factnot every can be wrong. Even CIA -FBI has captured the pictures via satellite of terrorist training camp running in Pakistan soil. Its a well known fact ISI has supported taliban’s and when Taliban’s were in Afghanistan and that time Pakistan was the only country recognizing the Taliban’s governement of Afghanistan. Pakistan’s powerful secret service is aiding terrorist groups through its support for shadowy religious organisations, according to a report prepared for the Ministry of Defence. The report, prepared by MoD think-tank the Defence Academy and obtained by the BBC’s Newsnight programme, states that the country’s intelligence service, known as the ISI, is supporting terrorism by secretly backing a coalition of religious parties. The British policy of supporting general Pervez Musharraf, the Pakistani president, because he provi...

Pope urges religious tolerance, openness to others
2006-09-29 00:06:01
Is any one listening? Muslim world should forgive and forget the whole unpleasant episode and they must demonstrate by their behaviour that their faith really teach and practice Peace ! VATICAN CITY - Still under a cloud for recent remarks about Islam, Pop e Benedict called on Thursday for tolerance of other religions and cultures and said a rebirth of faith could help foster this openness in western countries. The German Pontiff told Berlin?s new ambassador to the Vatican that the Roman Catholic Church would never force anyone to accept the teachings of Jesus Christ. Muslim leaders worldwide have criticised Benedict for a speech two weeks ago hinting that Islam had been spread by the sword and brought only evil to the world. The Pope has expressed regret at the uproar four times but has not withdrawn his words.?Tolerance and cultural openness must characterise meetings with other people,? he told Ambassador Hans-Henning Horstmann, who was presenting his credentials at the papal su...

Merkel wades into opera vs Muslims row
2006-09-28 12:03:01
LONDON: Another threatened ‘war of the worlds’ gloomily appeared to be in prospect on Wednesday with German Chancellor Angela Merkel wading into the row over the West’s right to free expression, 24 hours after a Berlin opera house cancelled a 225-year-old Mozart work because of concerns some scenes could enrage Muslim s. Merkel, who controversially began this debate just weeks ago when she defended Pope Benedict XVI’s right to make trenchant, incendiary observations on the role of violence in Islam, said on Wednesday that it was important for Europe to “take care that we do not retreat out of a fear of potentially violent radicals. Self-censorship out of fear is not tolerable”.

The shadow cast by a mega-mosque
2006-09-28 12:03:01
Why should we allow Mosque s to be built when Muslim countries ban Bible, Bhagwat Gita, ban Hindu Temples, Christian Churches and so on. We are all mad. Firs ask Muslims countries to give and provide Freedom or Religion right to non-Muslims living in Islamic Countries especially Arabs..Then we might think of this……… When Abu Izzadeen, the firebrand Islamist militant, berated John Reid last week for “daring” to visit a Muslim area, the Home Secretary bridled, as did many others, at his suggestion that part of London was off limits for a British minister of the Crown. There was nowhere in this country from which anyone should be excluded, Mr Reid said; nowhere that could be called exclusively Muslim. He was speaking just a couple of Tube stops from West Ham, close to the site for the 2012 Olympic stadium, where a huge row is about to erupt over plans to construct a mosque. However, this is not any old mosque built to serve the local community. It will be...
